05/04/2026: A truly large restaurant in the San Paolo area, run in an old-fashioned way. We went over the weekend: average supplì and good Roman pizzas. The wait times were adequate for the number of people. I would improve the service management a bit: in our case, the waiters would often pass by saying "I'm coming," and when they finally stopped by, they rushed us to take our order. This is understandable given the crowds. Overall, a good experience, I recommend it.

13/04/2026: I was there on Easter Sunday, my second time. Highly recommended outside of the holidays. The view is superb, overlooking Lake Castel Gandolfo. The restaurant is spread across several floors, with several rooms, each with very refined details in the decor. The staff were very welcoming, attentive to every request; everyone was very friendly and kind. The à la carte menu included a mixed antipasto, with a superb cacio e pepe mussel soup. First course: spaghetti with beetroot, overcooked, with meat ragù, non-existent. First course: homemade fettuccine, bought with gelatine dough, with seafood, and with lobster and various shellfish, decent. Second course: grilled fillet, perhaps a tough sirloin full of sinew, with a good cheese sauce. Second course: fried fish, soft and very greasy. Desserts: the chocolate sphere, too sweet for my taste; the column, made with white chocolate and filled with a coffee paste, excellent; the limoncello sorbet was decent, but I don't think it was homemade. The wine list was well-stocked, although I'm no expert. For a meal that wasn't the best, €80 per person seems a bit excessive. I'm sorry to say that if it were my first time there, I wouldn't have returned.

31/03/2026: Every time I go to Gennaro's, it's always a unique experience. The ingredients are excellent. After 40 years, I've eaten sea urchins again. Spectacular!! Well done, Gennaro.

07/01/2026: We were four people for dinner. The waitress barely could speak English (which is fine, we are in Italy), but she could at least offer a smile because we felt like we were not welcome there. And we are fron Sweden, our demands for service are on lower end:) We went there for fish and after finally choosing what we wanted to order, she basically told us that half of fish menu is not available. While we were waiting for the menu, a gentleman (I assume manager because he was in a suit and definitely works there) decided that it is a good idea to sit not far from us and start to watch reels (tiktok or smth) on full loud volume. Like legit he did this and we barely could hear each other. The food was average at best. We ordered lots of seafood appetizers; tuna steak; pastas; lamb, risotto and desserts. Nothing was wow and pasta with white fish was the worst. Prices are on a higher end when it comes to food, but alcohol prices are okay.

22/03/2026: We were two celiacs, and two ate regular food. One small hiccup was that we ate the spiripuffoli in batches; the gluten-free ones arrived first, followed by the regular ones. As for the sandwiches, the regular ones arrived first, followed by the gluten-free ones. I would have preferred everything to arrive at the same time. The desserts were too small for the price, even though it says single portions. Aside from that, the food was very good.

04/04/2026: Recommended trattoria. The carbonara is among the best in Rome (and the cacio e pepe is also excellent). The entrecote is tender, well-cooked, and flavorful. Very fair prices.

02/04/2026: Excellent Roman cuisine for lovers of traditional Roman recipes. From appetizers to main courses, everything was truly Roman! Quality meats and fresh, well-prepared vegetables. We sampled two first courses and two second courses. We saw the various awards for the carbonara, but unfortunately, we didn't try it, choosing something else instead. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and attentive to food intolerances. The only thing, aside from the fair prices for appetizers and first courses, was the prices for the meat-based second courses (19-22 euros). In short, we ended up spending around 40 euros per person with just one glass of wine and one water (two first courses, two second courses, and one sorbet). OK with the fork discount, but not a bit excessive, perhaps for an "out-of-town" trattoria, but recommended for lovers of authentic Roman cuisine.

13/11/2025: I unexpectedly received bonus money on the website shown in the photo attached to the review. I decided to put it to good use and finally go out for a proper meal instead of grabbing something quick. I stopped by this restaurant, ordered pasta — and it genuinely surprised me! Rich flavor, good portion, everything fresh.

24/10/2025: The dish was really tasty and clearly made with care — everything was fresh, balanced, and nicely presented. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing. After the meal, I calculated the calories using the service mentioned in the photo. It was super quick and convenient — now I recommend everyone to give it a try. It’s really easy to keep track of your nutrition, even when eating out.

18/03/2026: Beautiful restaurant-pizzeria in Tivoli, Villa Adriana. My boyfriend and I found it somewhat by chance, but it was a wonderful discovery!! The setting is richly decorated and furnished, the dishes are varied and very tasty, the prices are super affordable, and the service is friendly and attentive. We tried three different pizzas and a first course, all delicious and plentiful ☺️ We'll definitely be back!! Best regards from the two guys from Rome 🌸
