22/06/2025: This was my first meal in Rome. Absolutely delicious and great service. Eyasu and Momo were awesome and the owner Rita were so welcoming. Love the presentations as well of the Balsamic, olive oils and chocolates. Very cozy place, lots of choices and food is delicious. Muito bon. Bon appetit!

16/06/2025: I originally planned to visit a nearby restaurant that’s a bit Instagram-famous, but they were fully booked. On a recommendation from the waiter at that spot, I wandered around the corner to this place—and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere had great vibes and a lovely outdoor area. My server, Momo (apologies if I got the name wrong), was fantastic. I trusted his recommendations for every course, and he absolutely delivered—he suggested some of the best local wine I’ve ever tasted! I started with a meat and cheese selection, followed by cacio e pepe gnocchi, and finished with tiramisu. I don’t have photos of the second half of the meal because the lovely Momo kindly charged my phone for me as it was out of battery. He even brought out some special local chocolate with a pairing that was absolutely delightful. This place is incredible. Don’t sleep on it!

12/07/2025: EXCEPTIONAL Carbonara! The saltimbocca was delicious too! Extremely kind and helpful staff. Traditional Italian music playing in the background creates a pleasant atmosphere. Clean and tidy place. Fair prices and generous portions considering the location. We'll definitely be back! Recommended.

25/06/2025: I am writing this review while I am at FASSANGUE (a restaurant where I have always gone with pleasure) which literally saved my evening... I had a reservation for 2 at 9pm today Monday 2 June 2025, reservation confirmed by the girl on the phone with whom I wanted to reassure myself that they were open... well we arrive in front of the restaurant and find it closed, I tried to call on the cell phone which is disconnected... what can I say? After this experience I will definitely make sure to never come to this restaurant, not even if I were starving, and at least for my circle of acquaintances (not a few) I will make sure that no one ever comes here. Even if there was a problem or if there were few reservations (strange since Fassangue is quite full) it would be right to at least warn by call or whatsapp (we are in 2025) That said I continue my excellent dinner at FASSANGUE (yes I will repeat it often in this review) ANSWER: but then you have not read the popo ‘ncazzo of the review, the only ones who make a fool of us are you who take the liberty of opening and closing as you like leaving people without dinner despite a reservation, seriousness equal to 0. Better to lose restaurants like this rather than find them, FASSANGUE all my life look.

21/06/2025: A wonderful surprise... we happened to pass by in the evening and wanted to have a quick meal, we had a great time! They even prepared a vegetarian platter especially for us, remarkable bubbles, top quality/price ratio and kindness and availability. We will be back!!

18/06/2025: A place I frequent for an aperitif with friends. Selection of rotating beers, craft and always excellent. Equipped with a kitchen, you can also eat well, the menu is large enough to cover all tastes. I particularly like it for the outside, separate tables and quiet atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff (applause to those who pour the beers, always perfect!) Highly recommended.

26/05/2025: We were visiting Rome and happened to stay near this place and we didn't speak Italian at all except Ciao, Bongiorno and Grazie, but the people serving us were so nice and helpful even though they didn't have an English menu. We had a great time there even though we barely spoke the language. Service was outstanding and we got to drink IPAs!

Many people around Licenza recommended us to eat here, and it was a pleasure to listen to them: my partner and I ate very well! 🔥MENU AND RECOMMENDATIONS The menu changes daily, but includes excellent vegetarian options. We highly recommend the appetizer, extremely varied in choices and full of fresh flavors: mozzarella, bruschetta with excellent tomatoes, sliced ​​​​normal and spicy salami, melon with speck ... the photos speak for themselves. The chef was even kind enough to serve us, along with the appetizer, a delicious Roman tripe! And the pasta ... I can't wait to try that pasta again! You could tell the sauce was very fresh and made the same day, it was so rich in flavors😋 The final dessert, however, was kindly offered to us by the kitchen🍪 🌼AMBIENCE We had doubts about the entrance to the restaurant, which is quite hidden. It would be nice to add something more distinctive on the outside! Inside, however, it has a delightfully rustic, simple and... Flowery style! My partner and I took a seat in front of the large window, which offered us a wonderful view of the mountains and the red sky at sunset. The colorful flowers on the windowsills decorated the view nicely. I would, however, lower the volume of the TV, which at a certain point I would have preferred to be turned off, but it's just a personal taste. 🧾BILL What can I say, a dinner and a bill with bells and whistles! We spent €50 for two, which is not at all excessive considering everything we ordered, also considering the blackboard with the indicative prices (starter + first course = €25; starter + second course and side dish = €25).

02/07/2025: If someone asked me where to find the worst pasta in the world, I’d probably say here. The pasta we had was incredibly bad — after just a couple of bites, I couldn’t eat any more. Honestly, how do you manage to serve such terrible pasta right in the heart of Italy? If you truly want to enjoy pasta or pizza in Italy, avoid the touristy central spots like this one. Instead, look for more humble, local places tucked away in the side streets. They usually offer better food, more authentic service, and fairer prices. Here, not only was the quality disappointing, but the service also felt arrogant and careless — and on top of that, it was more expensive than average.

24/05/2025: Let's start with the positive things: the family atmosphere, the service, the house wine, the carbonara (one of the best I've ever eaten), the delicious coratella. The tripe, the oxtail and the boiled meatballs were good but average. Negative judgment for the pandorato but especially for the saltimbocca, immersed in the broth. Very good prices.

18/05/2025: This is an amazing place to come for breakfast! Their maritozzo is great, fresh bread with home made whipped cream. My boyfriend had a cappuccino, americano and two pastries and said it was all amazing. The workers are always happy and singing. I highly recommend coming here :))

10/07/2025: We ate here in July 10, 2025! The best carbonara in the city! It was absolutely divine. It’s worth the wait and the tourists. It truly is something special. Our server Peppe provided superb service and was extremely kind. I recommend this place to all people!! AMAZING!!

10/07/2025: I ordered the TAGLIOLINO CACIO E PEPE. The waiter had warned us that other customers complained about it being too salty. The salt was not issue but rather the smell. With all due respect, this stench was something similar to vomit. I was able to stomach 4 pity bites with the help of two fingers being lodged up my nostrils. However, the service was great and staff were accompanying and we didn’t have to wait to be sat at a table. Maybe it was my fault for ordering something that I assumed that i’d like. I love the cups and plates though. Great decor!

04/07/2025: The service was fantastic, but the food left a bit to be desired. The pasta was clearly not fresh—it was out of a packet and tasted bland. It wasn’t nearly as good as the other pasta dishes I’ve had in Rome and I was left very disapointed. The pizza was okay, but I’m a bit disappointed that I came for the food. Despite that, the staff were excellent and made my experience overall okay .

15/06/2025: Fresh fish, excellent dishes, I especially love the scampi cream risotto and not everyone knows how to make it. I give 10 stars to the Mimmo restaurant because to date it is the best scampi cream risotto I have ever eaten. For the rest, everything is really excellent and if you want to go and eat good fish dishes, you are in the right place.
