04/12/2025: This rustic restaurant in the center of Bologna offers excellent value. If you're passing through on a Sunday lunchtime, as it's between Porta Saragozza and the city center, it's a great option if you're arriving from the parking lot beyond the gate. You can often find a table even without a reservation, as it's not right in the city center. The menu is extensive and the service is fairly quick. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair considering the location close to the city center.
03/12/2025: I've been going here for 20 years and have always had a good experience. The prices are average, the fish is good, but the lunchtime food is also good, with different dishes every day. The pizza, served as a sandwich, is always excellent.

13/12/2025: Very nice place and perfect service. The pasta was very overcooked, and I wouldn't recommend it to those who like it al dente. The prices were very high. If you want a first and second course, spend at least €40 each.
09/12/2025: Absolutely outstanding. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten better anywhere. The tortellini, the linguine with ragù, and the cotoletta alla bolognese were simply exceptional. This was the best food I’ve had in all of Italy, and the service itself was a pleasure — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
This restaurant alone is worth a trip to Bologna. My admiration and compliments to the chefs and the owner. This is Italian cuisine the way it’s meant to be. Bravo! 🇮🇹✨

08/12/2025: I'm happy to return to Le Arcate. The smile and kindness welcome you as soon as you open the door.
We ordered mixed appetizers, first courses, and second courses.
Among the appetizers, varied and flavorful, there was no shortage of tigelle.
The traditional Bolognese first courses, with tortellini and tagliatelle, tickled the palate.
The second courses were less impressive. The cotoletta alla Bolognese was delicious, but the tagliata... spectacular.
Congratulations to everyone.
I've marked this place in my diary with the note: 'A must-visit every time I'm in Bologna!'

09/12/2025: A very good restaurant with good dishes. I didn't like how they served the mortadella in chunks; I think it's better sliced thinly, but to each their own. The steak with Modena balsamic sauce was very good, as were the pasta and the small tortellini with soup. The ice cream and other desserts were also very good. I didn't like that the owner (at least that's what it seemed to me) was vaping inside the restaurant, or yelling excessively in the kitchen, which could be heard from everywhere.
07/12/2025: Excellent place, we were served quickly despite it being quite late and without a reservation.
Typical northern Italian cuisine.
We recommend it.

27/09/2025: Highly recommended grocery store! Not far from Rocchetta Mattei is Luana's grocery store. She's incredibly kind and friendly. She showed us so many products with great passion and professionalism, and finally made us our sandwiches. Delicious! We'll definitely be back.

12/10/2025: We had breakfast on the farm. Everything was excellent and, above all, plentiful. The staff was super friendly. We ate everything, both sweet and savory, and everything was delicious and authentic. For €12 per person, excluding drinks, but considering what was on offer, it was well spent. The place with the animals is very relaxing, perfect for children. It's very large, and you can also buy some products in the shop. Well done everyone. I'll be back to try the ape ri cena.
