The atmosphere is a bit basic, but that's completely outweighed by the delicious food. The price is reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended for a feast of Romagna specialties!
15/11/2025: This trattoria was recommended to us, and we set out from Bologna to try it. We were completely satisfied. Everything was delicious.
We had polenta with soft cheese...fantastic...three first courses...all delicious...Florentine steak and potatoes...all excellent and generous portions. To finish, coffee and dessert...my favorite was the panna cotta...the portion is very large...it's enough to satisfy your cravings!!!

24/11/2025: The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner and the girls were incredibly kind. I come to Bologna often, and this was my first time at Nuova Fraschetta. I had the best gramigna with ragù ever.
I can't wait to return.
22/11/2025: We visited Bologna in October 2025 and stayed at a great Airbnb just one block from the train station. Within a four block semi circle from that location were some terrific restaurants, not touristy, local, and walkable. La Nuova Fraschetta was one of our favorites and we returned there for another dinner. The bruschetta was perfect, the ragu one of the best, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend this place.

01/12/2025: One of the few places downtown where everyone can be satisfied, even those who want pizza! The cuisine is all artisanal, modest yet flavorful.
The friendly and courteous waiters and the intimate, almost candlelit atmosphere add to the restaurant's splendor.
It's impossible not to mention the legendary Ragù, the owners' dog, who roams the tables politely, providing sweet companionship and adding a touch of homeliness to the experience.

08/10/2025: I use the café when I go to the mountain house in the morning at 6:00. It's always open, with a wide selection of pastries and excellent coffee and cappuccino. The lady at the bar is always friendly. The atmosphere is modern and clean.

08/12/2025: The place is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. It's one of those old-fashioned trattorias where you can feel at home.
The food isn't up to par with the service and the place, though it's generally good.
What we liked least were the tortellini, whose broth wasn't up to par with others we've tried at other restaurants, as was the tagliatelle with meat sauce.
The duck breast and, especially, the cheek were truly noteworthy.
The desserts were good, but not particularly outstanding.
27/11/2025: A trattoria a little out of the center, with pleasant service managed by the owners. The menu, while respecting tradition, has its ups and downs; some are excellent (galatina), others less so (risotto). Definitely worth trying again to learn more. Portions are only adequate (tagliata), hence the three-star service. Value for money tends to be on the expensive side.

17/10/2025: Best restaurant we tasted in Bologna. Food was both healthy and tasty. Serving staff is warm and friendly. Not to mention water bowl for my dog. We also picked up some products from their well stocked grocery shelves.
