We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the ingredients, and the host's knowledge of matching wines with the dishes. The prices were very reasonable. 07/07/2026: Finally, seven months after moving to Bologna, we've found a truly traditional trattoria to return to whenever we can. Il Mulino is everything we love: excellent, plentiful food that warms the heart as well as the stomach, welcoming and attentive service; the owners are adorable. The friendly atmosphere, in the leafy suburbs, makes two provincials like us, who don't like the noise of the city center, feel right at home. The prices are more than fair for the truly excellent quality. We'll be back soon, alone and with friends 💜

06/07/2026: We ended up here by accident. It was the only restaurant open so late. It's far from the tourist hotspots, at the end of a cul-de-sac on the outskirts of town. We were served by a waiter who spoke English. We asked for traditional dishes from the region. What he recommended was delicious ☺️!!!!! The kids also enjoyed themselves, even though they rarely try new things. I highly recommend it. It's a must-see on any trip to Bologna.

03/07/2026: An excellent experience in the heart of Piacenza My wife and I have dined at Enoteca da Renato several times and are increasingly enthusiastic each time. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, perfect for an evening for two. Each dish stands out for the excellent quality of the ingredients and the perfect blend of tradition and a touch of sophistication. Two nights ago in particular, we started with an excellent appetizer of quality Piacenza cured meats, followed by exquisite fish main courses, such as roasted octopus and a revisited parmigiana, truly worth trying. The wine selection, with interesting local labels, and the attentive yet unobtrusive service deserve special mention. This is a true Piacenza gem for those who love good food and wine.

The beach is well-kept, the umbrellas are spaced and staggered to avoid giving a wider view, and the cleanliness is excellent. 28/06/2026: Great place, very quaint, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. Despite being a delicatessen, they also offer interesting vegetarian options: I had two tortelli, one with lemon and ginger and the other with cherry. Everything was homemade, and everything was delicious.

13/04/2026: In Imola, the beacon of excellence is San Domenico, but I, frankly, prefer Le Callegherie. It's an osteria in name only; it's an excellent restaurant with a top-notch chef. Its menu features superbly crafted meat and seafood dishes, which, combined with a remarkable wine cellar, rival the aforementioned Imola's excellent restaurants. The location is beautiful yet understated, but reservations are recommended due to limited seating. Worth a visit for an important evening, or simply when you want to indulge in a gastronomic treat.

14/07/2026: We booked the restaurant on the basis of its Michelin star while we were on the road to Parma to enjoy some Italian food. We didn’t realise the restaurant was Japanese until we got there. We had a glass of decent Italian sparkling wine and a nice amuse bouche but decided we didn’t want to stay for dinner. Paid for the Prosecco and left, only to find minutes later my partner was also charged a cancellation fee of 200 euros for the two of us. The place was nearly empty. Caveat emptor

14/12/2025: Group of 15 people, we had seafood appetizers, fish and meat first courses, fish and meat second courses. Homemade desserts were good and plentiful. Everything was good and the portions were generous, we left satisfied. Friendly staff and fast service. I recommend it!! It's difficult to be disappointed by the food. The only flaw I found, and which is found in the vast majority of restaurants, are the bathrooms, which could be less neglected, and I'm not talking about the dirt made by customers (12 o'clock) but old dirt on the floors, even under the pedals to turn on the water, corners, etc. I find that clean bathrooms are a form of respect for customers.
