27/07/2026: A restaurant from another era. It's a shame they don't have appetizers à la carte, but everything else is incredible! Local and international wines, very good house first courses, but the main courses are the real stars: wild boar stew and lamb chops are truly mind-blowing. Desserts are few, but good and very simple, like the torta in cantina. Excellent service and unbeatable value.

07/07/2026: Finally, seven months after moving to Bologna, we've found a truly traditional trattoria to return to whenever we can. Il Mulino is everything we love: excellent, plentiful food that warms the heart as well as the stomach, welcoming and attentive service; the owners are adorable. The friendly atmosphere, in the leafy suburbs, makes two provincials like us, who don't like the noise of the city center, feel right at home. The prices are more than fair for the truly excellent quality. We'll be back soon, alone and with friends 💜

06/07/2026: We ended up here by accident. It was the only restaurant open so late. It's far from the tourist hotspots, at the end of a cul-de-sac on the outskirts of town. We were served by a waiter who spoke English. We asked for traditional dishes from the region. What he recommended was delicious ☺️!!!!! The kids also enjoyed themselves, even though they rarely try new things. I highly recommend it. It's a must-see on any trip to Bologna.

23/07/2026: A wonderful discovery during our vacation in Bologna! This typical Italian restaurant was recommended to us by a woman we met earlier that afternoon, and we weren't disappointed. We had a fantastic time there with friends. The dishes were delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And what can we say about the setting? Dining under the arcades of Bologna is a true delight and adds a unique charm to the meal. An excellent place that we highly recommend!

The menu offers an excellent selection of sandwiches and grilled meats at very reasonable prices. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for lovers of delicious burgers.

22/06/2026: Great for a quick lunch while traveling on the Romea. Two fried foods, one potato, one large glass of water, and one coffee cost €35. The fried food was dry and very, very good. The shrimp were peeled, mind you! Highly recommended.

07/04/2026: We were really looking forward to the tagliatelle with ragù, but unfortunately, it was sold out. As an alternative, we ordered lasagna, tortellini, and the ragù burger. Everything tasted delicious and was of good quality; there's nothing to complain about there. However, it was quite disappointing when you've been really looking forward to a particular dish—especially since there were still about two hours until closing time.

07/04/2026: The food is quite good overall, but the portions are on the smaller side, so don’t expect anything too generous. The space itself is also quite small, which means it can be difficult to find a table during high season. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes the experience more pleasant. Overall, it’s a decent place just don’t go in with very high expectations, especially when it comes to portion sizes

14/07/2026: We booked the restaurant on the basis of its Michelin star while we were on the road to Parma to enjoy some Italian food. We didn’t realise the restaurant was Japanese until we got there. We had a glass of decent Italian sparkling wine and a nice amuse bouche but decided we didn’t want to stay for dinner. Paid for the Prosecco and left, only to find minutes later my partner was also charged a cancellation fee of 200 euros for the two of us. The place was nearly empty. Caveat emptor

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the ingredients, and the host's knowledge of matching wines with the dishes. The prices were very reasonable. 02/06/2026: I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and last night, when we were looking for somewhere to eat, we thought of this one. The girl who served us was incredibly kind, offering us advice and guidance on some typical Colombian dishes (even off-menu ones), so we trusted her. Aside from the long wait, which passed quickly in good company (she had prepared for us), we were completely satisfied with the dishes. Furthermore, having a half-Colombian man among us confirmed that the cuisine is very similar to that of the country. If I could recommend one thing, it would definitely be extra help in the kitchen and a competent and welcoming person to assist the main girl in the dining room to optimize wait times and seat more people. I'll definitely be back!

31/05/2026: I tried the Colombian dish and the mixed fried fish... everything was excellent... the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly. I'll definitely be back to try the fruit cocktails and for special evenings.
