05/08/2024: We had dinner outdoors in this very characteristic restaurant overlooking the lake, quite a varied menu. We got the fried crispy and not greasy, good. Then we got the pizzas, which we didn't like, rubbery dough and too acidic tomato which covered all the flavours. Finally, the tiramisu, the heavy cream didn't make you want to finish it. Normal prices, not really low. Friendly, helpful, kind and organized staff. Finally, a sore point, not the fault of the restaurateur, at 9.00 pm we had to run away due to the swarms of midges.

30/07/2024: Friendly staff, amazing pizza and alerol spritz 🤭 we were stuffed but also went in for a tiramisu: worth it!! Our dog was allowed in with us so important for other pet owners to know they are pet friendly :)

31/08/2024: Una vera esperienza questo localino che racchiude al suo interno il senso della vera HOSTARIA gestito da una Signora che prepara personalmente ottimo cibo che conquista il palato e che è l'anima del locale. A chi dice che si aspetta troppo rispondo che invece una pausa dallo stress è piacevolissima, in fondo non è questo il motivo di una vacanza a Spello? Signora avanti così: Gentilissima, in gamba, cortese e una vera forza della natura. Ci torneremo, i biscotti erano ottimi, grazie ❤️CONSIGLIATISSIMO, gli amici di Salerno

28/08/2024: Localino carico all'inizio della piazza principale di Spello. Sala interna piccola e possibilità di tavoli all'esterno in un vicoletto: molto suggestivo. Due sole persone (una in cucina e l'altra ai tavoli) si occupano di mandare avanti questa attività e spesso si ha la possibilità di sentirle discutere tra loro. Il servizio, abbiamo mangiato a pranzo, è oggettivamente troppo lento. Ci siamo seduti nella sala interna quando tutti i tavoli erano occupati ed abbiamo aspettato 40 min per avere gli antipasti (un piatto con 4 pezzi di formaggio). Abbiamo giustificato questo tempo di attesa pensando al fatto che il locale era pieno. Tra la fine dell'antipasto e la portata successiva (un primo per me ed un secondo per mia moglie) è trascorsa almeno un'ora ed il locale ormai si era svuotato (oltre al nostro tavolo solo altri due erano erano occupati ed uno di questi era stato occupato da poco). Per quanto riguarda il cibo, buoni i formaggi. Il primo piatto, una pasta alla norcina, era molto salata ed il condimento risultava un pò "slegato". Il secondo piatto, arrosticini di agnello con patate, erano buoni ma se fossero stati cotti leggermente meno sarebbero stati migliori. Il vero deficit è la lentezza del servizio: trascorrere circa 2 ore per un antipasto condiviso ed un piatto unico a testa è davvero troppo.

29/08/2024: I went to this “Rifugio Mainardi” on August 15th. We couldn't have done anything worse. Aside from the fact that in my opinion the municipality of Costacciaro was unable to manage the thousands of cars that poured towards Pian delle Macinare, creating a double row of cars parked for at least a couple of km, leaving a small space for those trying to reach Pian delle Macinare. We barely reached a clearing about 150 meters from the refuge and at that point I was asked to leave the passengers and go back until I found a parking space. About 1 km from the refuge. We arrive at the refuge and our place was on the benches outside the room together with dozens of other customers packed in like sardines. Inadequate service for the number of people who had booked. What little we ate was poor to say the least. They will never see me in this place again! But I wonder, was it a case of accepting so many bookings when we weren't up to the task of managing them? Finally, and I turn to the municipality of Costacciaro, thank goodness there were no emergencies because it would have been difficult to get medical personnel.

02/04/2024: Location: locale piccolo, ben tenuto ma che potrebbe presentarsi un po' meglio Menu: molto ristretto, ci sono pro e contro ma ci si aspettava un qualcosa in più. Servizio: gentili e disponibili Conto: un po' superiore alle attese

24/08/2024: Nel bellissimo tour turistico e gastronomico tra Umbria e Toscana il primo premio sicuramente al Perugino! L’unico locale dove siamo tornati con piacere… Proprietario e personale cordiali e gentili . Cibo squisito e porzioni abbondanti. Ci torneremo sicuramente. Consiglio!

20/08/2024: “Tourists are not welcome” Upon arrival the waiter took our order and our starters arrived quite quickly. The starters were very pleasant and all was well. Maybe 5 minutes after our starters arrived our pizzas arrived as-well. We were taken aback as most of us weren’t finished with our starters and we found this choice quite odd. During the whole of our stay the entire staff kept glancing at our table and made soft remarks while passing by. We were missing a pizza and when asked the waiters multiple times they had to check every single time. When the pizza did arrive most of us were finished with our foods. Not wanting to let the rudeness of the staff impact our dining experience I was optimistic about the food since our starters were great and the overall reviews of the restaurant were nothing but amazing. Our food came and I found it to be beyond tragic. I ordered the mortadella pizza and I was severely disappointed. My dough was overflowing with flour and so consuming every bite with it. The mortadella was bland and the pistachio taste was nowhere to be found. During our stay, we couldn’t help but notice a quite particular foul smell that would greatly strengthen when the wind blew upon it. When we finished eating we wanted to take our leftovers home and asked our waiter. In return we were handed a piece of aluminium foil and a plastic bag. This whole experience was truly a shame. I find it a personal tragedy that food was handled this way. Edit: Comments from the restaurant owner should state the more than obvious state of the restaurant. Pathetic

30/07/2024: It's a shame because you can see it wasn't the right evening, pici cacio e pepe with truffle, they were pici in white with grated cheese on top, the pici were well made anyway, the other diners liked the pizza

15/07/2024: We were a large group, managed to perfection, excellent lunch, extreme kindness. Really highly recommended.
