15/03/2026: The property is located about 15 minutes from Assisi, is welcoming, comfortable, and the staff (all members) are extremely kind. The breakfast was rich and varied. The price was reasonable. Very, very satisfied.

13/12/2025: Unfortunately, we all got sick... two separate groups on two different nights left with severe stomach pains. Having said that, although I already consider it serious, I can say that the dishes are talked about way too much, creating a lot of anticipation that isn't found in the actual tasting. There's a lot of effort and it shows, but some important aspects still need to be addressed. There's room for improvement.

03/12/2025: Super-abundant appetizers, special fried foods, and top-notch pizza, just like the ones they used to be—crispy, thin, and with lovely charred, hollow edges. We went here with friends for dinner on the recommendation of Mr. Pierotti (whom I'm mentioning), and I have to say, he never fails!

17/01/2026: An exceptional pizza, Bastia's best-kept secret! If you're looking for a pizza al taglio that borders on perfection, you absolutely must stop by Mani e Mattero. The quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite: the dough is light and fragrant, and the toppings are always fresh and original. It's undoubtedly one of the best pizzas in the area, prepared with a passion that shines through in the flavor. The only real downside? It's so good you'll want to eat it all the time! Unfortunately, due to high demand and the artisanal management, the pizzeria is closed in the evenings, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. It's a real shame not to be able to enjoy this deliciousness for dinner on the weekend, but it's definitely worth planning for lunch or a quick snack during the week. Highly recommended!

16/02/2026: All good things come in threes. The experience was an absolute must. The atmosphere was youthful and enterprising. The dishes were simple, but logical in an area full of restaurants where it doesn't take much to be labeled "touristy." Well, the adjective isn't relevant in this case. The flavors are truly Umbrian, especially when you start with the Tagliere. The point is that a mix of cured meats is best, without confusing them with prosciutto crudo: I'm a fan of noble cured meats, and I appreciate them aged 24 months and up; if it's too young, no, I'll give up. We tried two first courses: the classic tagliatella with black truffle, which I would have thought was juicier, and the tortellini with parmesan cream. They were good, but some doubts remain about the artisanal quality of the pasta. The ambiance is truly charming, worthy of attention, and if I happen to glance into the little living room where I find a record player and see a vinyl cover lying on top, I'm blown away. As you wander around, you'll find vintage touches, so many cute little things, right down to the Moka pots with sugar holders: wow! You know what I say? See if the customers want a moka pot coffee; it would be a special service, obviously at a "special" price, but whatever...it could be an added bonus; I don't think I've ever found any taverns that do it around here.

The staff is helpful and friendly. The cuisine is in keeping with the local area, with simple, well-executed dishes. Overall, it's a good choice for those seeking a genuine and relaxed experience.

09/03/2026: A simple but welcoming trattoria. Very good food and generous portions. Flavorful dishes. I had the primo del priore with trout, porcini mushrooms, and truffle (a strange but interesting combination), followed by the tenderloin with truffle, which was delicious and tender. Fairly priced.

09/03/2026: Trattoria with excellent food, with dishes like pici and tagliatelle with truffles, a delicacy, a special truffle omelette, and a very good roast lamb. The dessert was excellent, the price was just right for the quality and quantity.!!!!!

The owners are meticulous in their attention to detail, with unparalleled knowledge of the wine world. If we're ever in Città della Pieve again, we'll definitely return to this wine bar. For anyone visiting Assisi, this is a must-see!
