01/11/2025: The restaurant is located in the center of Castellina in Chianti, making it easy to get to from wherever you parked. It's a busy area, so it's not the right place for those seeking tranquility. The food is very good and excellent value. The menu varies based on the season and the availability of fresh ingredients. Excellent service (with room for improvement due to the young staff; there's always time), a great atmosphere, and a wide selection of wines. Thank you.

26/10/2025: Excellent porcini mushrooms steak, superb wine list with top-quality wines and sparkling wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff is attentive and ready to make you feel at home. I recommend it and will definitely return. Well done!

03/02/2026: Spas always have their charm and relaxation, a good place to spend a morning or afternoon to get away from it all. The outdoor pools have their charm, especially in winter, and the indoor pool is excellent for warming body and mind....

02/02/2026: A weekend of complete relaxation. The property is easy to reach by car and has nearby parking. The environment is meticulously maintained, even outside. The staff is welcoming and very helpful with any request. The hotel offers every comfort; we never left: there's a bar, bistro, and restaurant that offer excellent food, and a beautiful and very welcoming atmosphere. The pools are well-designed, and the water was just the right temperature. Since we were there on a Saturday night, we used the pools until midnight, and even though it was the end of January, it was wonderful. We also treated ourselves to a small massage, which I highly recommend. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Congratulations!

14/03/2026: A family-friendly place where you can spend a lovely evening or celebrate family events. The food is excellent (don't miss the Chianina ravioli cacio e pepe). The staff is very friendly.

08/02/2026: Magnificent! It's a 1861 villa, very tastefully refurbished in c. 2023 into a chic hotel. We were 2 adults and 2 small children. Loved our stay there, and the cons noted below are very minor. Beautiful place! PROS + Location. It's only 20min away from Alagna, and there are circa 15 parking spaces at the entrance to the Villa. + Standard of finishes and the interior decor. This place just looks amazing. It's superbly renovated and very tastefully decorated. + Well equipped. Couldn't really ask for more. (Maybe bigger mugs would be nice to have some tea) + Warm inside. We were here in the winter, it was -5 outside, and 22 inside. + The children playroom - great feature. Most of toys are for children aged 1 to 5, which suited us perfectly. + The library / reading room. Two standing shelves full of books, an eclectic selection of everything. 90% of books in Italian, with some 5 volumes in English and the rest in German. + Quiet. Even though our room was facing the main road, there wasn't any traffic during the night that might bring any noise. + Gigantic super-king size bed, double-sized sleeping sofa, and a sitting sofa in the kitchen. + Lift providing access to all floors. + Amazing panoramic view from our apartment, overlooking the road below, and the mountains all around. CONS - We couldn't give our kids a bath, as the shower didn't have a hand-held shower head, only the high level one. We were there only for 3 nights so it wasn't the end of the world though. - Just barely enough supplies, with no kitchen paper towels, just one washing machine tablet. - Not entirely child-proof. Historical chest of drawers beneath the windows are surely gorgeous, but our kids kept on crawling onto them and tried to open the windows. - Difficult and steep entrance road from the main road.

17/09/2025: I stayed in this villa in the early 1960s, during the summer when it was a summer camp for children from the Biella area. I only have a few very pleasant memories, both of the structure and of the walks in the surrounding area. And also of the delicious baked stuffed onions they sometimes served with meals.

08/11/2025: Amazing place, absolutely recommended. Pure local vibe, great wine and beer, and of course amazing food. I had a Zuppa di Funghi and Pici Ragu Cinghiale, which both were fabulous. The owner was very pleasant as well. As a bonus, one can visit the local Bagni San Filippo before the dinner. Thank you!

05/01/2026: Good place for a quick lunch or aperitivo. They don’t serve cooked dishes ‘like pasta’. Had a plate with a variety of pecorino cheese with ricotta, but that was it. Me and my husband had both the ‘vegetables’ but arrived some preserved like zucchini’s, beets and artichokes. I think their price is expensive in proportion of what we ate. All of the above, €51 with 2 glasses of wine.

15/03/2026: The place is nice but slightly more expensive than the offerings in the area. Only 3 stars for the food because the menu featured suckling pig, which clearly wasn't suckling pig. When asked if it was, the response was: "I don't know." Another customer asked the same question last week. I'll have to check with the kitchen; perhaps they should check. 18 euros for a different dish is a bit annoying.

09/12/2025: I had breakfast there and a pizza there in the evening. It has a magnificent view of the Montalcino valley; otherwise, the place has simple, very spartan decor, but its true value lies in being a meeting place for the locals, the real ones. The croissants are average, but that's something it shares with other bars in town. The pizza is very good. The service is courteous, and the quality/price ratio is good.

28/12/2025: I dined at this restaurant and the experience was truly five-star. It's a very beautiful place in the heart of San Gimignano. I ate very well; from appetizers to desserts, there were many interesting dishes. The service was excellent; the waiter treated us very well. The bill was in line with the price. Honorable mention for the very well-curated and extensive wine list.

18/01/2026: Charming, almost uninhabited village, but there is a good pizzeria restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The rooms on the return are clean and quite large. The owners are friendly and very kind. The continental breakfast is standard.

01/02/2026: What struck me most was the staff's extreme courtesy, politeness, kindness, and attentiveness. The location, too, deserves a 10/10, where peace and tranquility reign supreme amidst the green Tuscan hills. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the rooms were spotlessly clean, with absolutely everything you could possibly need! Highly recommended!

14/01/2026: If you're staying in San Gimignano, I highly recommend this place. The breakfast is delicious, and there's a wide variety of desserts. The homemade cakes are all delicious. I had dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly. The room was in great condition. The Cypress Road access road to the hotel was also fantastic!
