The staff, as well as the owners, are helpful, courteous, and welcoming. The menu features typical Sienese dishes. The homemade pasta is excellent, especially the pici with white ragù. Excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open for lunch.

Anyone who wants to eat Picci al ragù bianco in Siena should come to Fiaschetteria il Pulcino. They're a true delight. This little place rightfully won the foodish program. It's nice to see that everyone works as a family. You guys are truly special. The food here is good and at absolutely reasonable prices. Thank you, keep up the good work.

Discovered by pure chance but it's really worth it! Extraordinary pici with white sauce! Excellent service and friendly owners! When I return to Siena, we will definitely go back.

Trattoria sull'Albero

22/01/2026: We loved our stay at Borgo Santo Pietro and one of our favorite parts was the food at Trattoria sull'Albero. It was truly top notch! The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy with several wood burning fireplaces and an outstanding view of the countryside. There were great indoor and outdoor bars, fire pits, patio seating, truly everything you could want. Onto the food, which was SO SO good. Hands down the best pizza we had the entire time that we were in Italy. Nothing that we had wasn't delicious. The wild boar pasta and the fermented purple rice salad were also both stand outs. You can really tell that the ingredients are coming straight from farm to table. We came home in October but I am still dreaming about this food months later.
12/10/2025: Wow!!! Out of this world! Food, service, ambience, drinks... everything was perfect and memorable. Highly recommended. Tricky to find, but totally worth it.

01/04/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, having searched for it online during a trip, and found ourselves in this little oasis of peace surrounded by nature a few kilometers off the highway. It presents itself as a simple trattoria, but we immediately knew we'd be satisfied, given that the number of cars there for a midweek lunch indicated it was well-known in the area. C: We started to select the dishes, even though everything was delicious! Typical local cuisine with some meat dishes and a wide assortment of lake fish. I tried a salmon trout tartare, which was amazing: I'd never tasted anything like it! The truffle crostoni, the fresh pasta picci with lake ragù, and the grilled fish were also delicious. We enjoyed it so much that on the return trip, we changed our plans to be able to return. U: Even though I'm not particularly fond of lake fish, these dishes won me over. Everything was delicious, traditional cuisine combined with innovation, with some unusual combinations. Just a little too much salt in some dishes (e.g., the tomato gnocchi) for my taste, but everything was very good! Recommended!
