The shop is small but stocked with tons of wonderful Sicilian desserts. They even make the 7 veli (literally, "seven veils"), which takes you to heaven. The cassata is delicious and has a well-balanced sugar content, never cloying. The cannoli are filled fresh, as is traditional, with pistachio or other flavors. They also have delicious arancini. And then there's more, like jars of sauce for pasta with sardines. It's small, but it takes you back to authentic Sicily. A lovely surprise in the city of Siena. And truly excellent products.

I have been cannoli hunting and these are some of the best I’ve found so far! We won’t have time to go all the way to Sicily this trip, but we sure got a taste of it. The lady at the counter was so sweet and let me stumble through my attempt at ordering in Italian despite my awfully-English pronunciation. She gave them to me wrapped up so cute. I also got an arancina to try for the first time- great first impression!

Simply fantastic! We stopped by chance during a trip. Super fresh ingredients, and variations (like the pistachio one) that don't overpower the original flavor. A hidden gem.

All ok, as already said, but the information about the Sunday opening hours is not exact: in summer on Sundays it is closed from June to September

The best cannolis in Siena, without a doubt. Not only are they delicious, but they're also very well-priced. Super friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Agriturismo Pieve Sprenna Restaurant

07/04/2026: A truly magnificent place surrounded by greenery, just steps from the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts are refined and carefully prepared. The entire property is managed with passion and dedication by the family. We highly recommend staying for dinner, as the food is truly delicious.
17/03/2026: In June 2025, we visited Pieve Sprenna for the second time, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely once again. We greatly enjoy the wonderfully quiet and relaxed atmosphere; we love dreaming away in the beautiful garden with the Tuscan landscape while enjoying our afternoon aparativo: limoncello spritz and some snacks or a nice local wine, relaxing in the jacuzzi for a bit, and having a delicious meal in the evening. The pizza night on the terrace was a huge success, in particular. The breakfast with freshly made strawberry jam (made by the father the year before, I was told) is also a real treat. It is not for nothing that we call this our “Happy place”. We are going again this coming May 2026 🥰. This time we are bringing good friends along because we want them to experience this wonderful place; this time we are also going to rent bikes and go to a wine tasting, for which the family helped us in the right direction so that we could arrange it. See you soon

10/04/2026: Hidden gem. Top notch service, always there and gave us great recommendations for wine and for specialties, shoutout to Luca for great job! We had cheese platter which paired perfectly with white wine. For mains we tried sirloin steak and fawn with prunes both were irresistible. But despite that we still had room for dessert (as should anyone on vacation) and it was right decision because Catalan cream paired with Tiramisu got us to that perfect state, where you just grateful to the universe for your existence.
08/04/2026: Excellent place. The restaurant offers typical cuisine, and the service is quick and very pleasant. The food was very good, the only slight drawback being that the portions might be a little small for those with a hearty appetite. For those unfamiliar with how Italian restaurants operate, there's always a cover charge, a sort of contribution similar to the mandatory tip in the United States. In short, I highly recommend it.
