01/05/2024: Posto davvero carino dove si mangia bene. La tartare e il carpaccio super consigliati. Carina l’idea della piccola serra all’ingresso :) Il prezzo leggermente alto ma per il posto e la qualità del cibo è giustificabile. Vino perfetto che ha accompagnato al meglio i nostri piatti: insomma il giusto connubio!

16/08/2024: The service of 10!!! Attentive and friendly!!! Very good pizzas and very good price!! We were staying near the restaurant and we had dinner there two days in a row. We loved the place, the service and the food. I recommend it!!!! Thank you for the service!!!

25/07/2024: a hidden gem if you’re looking for a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch. Located in the industrial area on the edge of Sienna we found this place while searching for a laundromat (2 minutes walk away). The pizza was very good and they offered non-dairy milk for the coffee as well. We had gelato afterwards and it was really good. I would definitely recommend this place for a pitstop especially as it’s not touristy and easy for parking

09/07/2024: Our hotel concierge recommended this place or we would have NEVER found it or thought to go here. On the main street in the tiny town of Montisi, it looks to be a small caffe or deli from the outside, but you must go left and up the stairs to the restaurant. There are maybe 8-10 tables in 2 small dining areas. They start you with a complimentary glass of white wine which is delightful. There are no written menus, rather the servers come and tell you what they have for each of the courses. You have to kind of "hope" the prices aren't anything outrageous. But be assured, dining here will not break your bank - all menu items are reasonable. And delicious! The walls are lined with bottles of (mostly) local wine and you can peruse if you wish but there is also no written wine list. They asked us what type of wine we wanted - we said RED, something local - and they recommended a lovely, very affordable bottle from Montalcino. We had a delicious meat and cheese platter to start, some pasta dishes (the tagliatelle with garlic sauce was YUM), then I had a roasted chicken entree and my husband had a "meat loaf". The chocolate Cantucci for dessert was unique and delicious! NOT TO MENTION, Geoffrey Rush (actor from Pirates of the Caribbean fame) was sitting at a table right next to us. !! Apparently he lives in the area.

06/07/2024: We were exploring nearby towns on stumbled on Montisi which quaint but a little sleepy. We decided to look for this restaurant based on its ratings and had a wonderful experience. We were initially put off by the casual bar downstairs but once we found our way to the restaurant upstairs it was much nicer. Still some what plain in terms of ambiance but it is quickly made up for by the personality of the host Jean Luca. ( not sure if I have his name spelled correctly) He pulled up a chair up out table and chatted for a few minutes. Word to the wise.. there is no written menu…he verbally reviews all the courses and then takes your order…so you better pay attention! The food, wine and service were all great.

16/08/2024: Superb Fiorentina, the best tasted so far, we watched the cooking and finally it was cut at the table in front of us. Friendly and very friendly owner, before the bill he sat down at the table with us to talk and ask us about our stay in Tuscany. In the kitchen we find the owner's wife who brings tradition to the table. No-frills service, view of the Orcia hills. Highly recommended stop.

05/08/2024: Abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante per cena nella loro splendida terrazza che si affaccia sulle famose colline della Val D'Orcia, piatti buonissimi della vera tradizione Toscana, proprietari gentilissimi e atmosfera accogliente, torneremo sicuramente grazie!

16/08/2024: A little outside of the tourist flow, you can enjoy authentic dishes here from the locals. The menu is small but nice and the host is a very friendly guy.

23/07/2024: Wir waren spontan zum Abendessen und waren etwas erstaunt, da kaum etwas los war. Waren jedoch sehr zufrieden. Der Service war freundlich. Die Pizza war super. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis top.

24/06/2024: We wouldn't stop there, without Google we wouldn't have discovered it, perfect welcome in English, fast and good family cooking at a very affordable price in the center of Siena, far from the hustle and bustle, rustic setting, ideal for a lunch, we would go back.

04/06/2024: The restaurant was excellent. Hearty and delicious meal at a very good price. The carbonara pasta and dessert of the day are excellent. An address to stop at, it’s worth it!

31/08/2024: Visiting Pienza for the second time, we wanted to specifically return to this trattoria which offers typical Tuscan cuisine: I have never eaten such good ribollita! The pici with wild boar ragout are also very good... the portions are generous, the prices are honest and the atmosphere is familiar and pleasant Super recommended!!!

03/08/2024: I returned to Olio in the new location, after having appreciated it in the old building. I return to reiterate the skill of the staff, always attentive to guests and with an eye on territoriality. The oils are always carefully selected. The sea bass is spectacular, the duck breast is juicy. A mention for the millefeuille with cream and raspberry coulis: amazing!!!

21/07/2024: We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is amazing with an outstanding wine cellar. The service was perfect and we got very good advice and the food and wine. Deforest a place I recommend.

19/08/2024: Highly recommended! Excellent food, we ordered starters, starters, main courses, side dishes and desserts, all exceptional, compliments to the chef! Typical place, very nice place, fast and professional service, very reasonable prices, the children licked their chops! If I end up in those parts again I will definitely return!

19/08/2024: Today I went for an aperitif in this wine shop in the center of San Gimignano, encouraged by the excellent reviews of the place. Starting from the fact that I understand that we are in a historic center and you also have to pay for this, we were very disappointed by the prices (clearly visible on the menu). We ordered 2 glasses of wine (€648), a platter of Tuscan cold cuts (€17) and some bread which we were charged €2.50. The quality of what we ate and drank is undoubted but spending €33.50 for so few products is a robbery. The cost of the wines is also in line but €17 for 11 slices of cold cuts is absolutely crazy. Not to mention the bread at €2.50 which was also a little old and on such a high cost ""chopping board"" it should be included. So the 3 stars go to the quality of the products but the quantity/price ratio absolutely needs to be reviewed.

15/08/2024: Some of the best meats and cheeses I've ever eaten, not to mention the panzanella. Fantastic. Super affordable prices given the quantity and above all the quality. 5 well-deserved stars, congratulations to the mother, real home cooking

23/06/2024: A simple restaurant but with excellent quality of products and therefore delicious dishes. We will return to enjoy the space set up externally which is very beautiful. The restaurant is also easily accessible
