27/03/2025: Really nice place, went at the end of March and it wasn’t busy at all. Got a bottle of wine for 16€ and was great. Pastas were all delicious - wild boar, duck, lasagne, all good! Really relaxed atmosphere, great service, free wifi. Would definitely recommend!

24/03/2025: Friendly, kind and knowledgeable staff. We had a problem with the appointment time, our fault, but they still welcomed us very well despite the considerable delay. The explanation of the cellar was really thorough, the wine was exceptional. We also stayed for lunch and everything was excellent, from the platter to the Florentine steak If we return to Montepulciano it will definitely be a fixed stop

18/02/2025: Enjoyed a spontaneous dinner during our Chianti trip. Great location , dinner at the terrace with great view at the vineyards during a lovely and romantic sunset. Food was excellent and so was their Wine ofcourse. If you like you can also book a group tour to visit their wine cellars and enjoy a group dinner afterwards in midst of the vineyard… but you will have to book in advance. Would definitely eat here again😉

15/02/2025: Beautiful lunch for two, we were divinely welcomed by the staff and we lived an unforgettable experience, between flavors and quality food, you could feel the attention to detail and the skill of the chef. Simple but sophisticated location, the flowers in the center of the table gave a touch of elegance, which I must say are excellent company and beauty to see while tasting the dishes, since it is still winter and not being able to eat outdoors, they were of great value for me.

24/03/2025: Da molti anni quando veniamo a Siena si cena da Le Sorelline : persone che respirano tradizione, educazione e grande sincerità così come i loro piatti. E poi quest’anno… i pici cacio e 7 pepi : un’esplosione di gusto che non si può dimenticare.

06/04/2025: Bei der Bar dell´Orso handelt es sich, wie der Name schon sagt, nicht um ein Restaurant sondern um eine (Dorf) Kneipe die regionale Speisen anbietet. Wir haben Pasta bestellt die mit vielen verschiedenen Saucen angeboten werden. Hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Preise sind angemessen. Eine wirkliche Empfehlung.

03/04/2025: Fantastic first courses, pici, tagliatelle with various condiments. I prefer pici a l'aglione or tagliatelle al cinghiale. Also very good with carbonara and black cabbage.

15/11/2024: Normalmente no escribo reseñas, pero estoy muy feliz de haber almorzado aquí. Quería alejarme de las tiendas turísticas para almorzar y estoy encantado de haberlo hecho. No solo son hermosos los bocadillos, sino que Gianfranco fue un placer. Era amable, servicial y divertido. Incluso con mi falta de italiano me hizo reír. Grazie Mille Gianfranco

13/11/2024: Ciao Franco, Sei stato una piacevolissima sorpresa. Hai ragione, Tiziano ha dovuto convincermi per entrare ma sono davvero contenta di aver accettato. Il locale é molto piccolo ma pieno di amore e simpatia. Franco é il cuore del locale, entrare é come bere un bicchiere di vino in famiglia. I prodotti locali sono di altissima qualità, assaggiarli é un esperienza. Entrate in questo posto e preparatevi a vivere un viaggio. Non so spiegarvi le emozioni ma ogni sorso di vino ed ogni boccone vi faranno emozionare. Sopratutto la conoscenza di Gianfranco é qualcosa che non potrete dimenticare. Abbiamo trovato il nostro posto del cuore e torneremo sicuramente. Ricordati di noi, ti chiameremo per le bomboniere. Un abbraccio, Tiziano e Jessica da Genova.

01/02/2025: We were recommended by the very kind and hospitable lady who welcomed us and we were able to taste an excellent Nobile di Montepulciano accompanied by a fantastic platter of cured meats and cheeses. Lots of courtesy and quality of the products. Thank you very much for the beautiful experience!

09/03/2025: We took 2 well-stuffed trays, the pizza turned out to be a little taller than the single one. Much appreciated by all. Arrived 10 minutes late, but that's OK, we're not Swiss. A tip to the pizza chef: put the salami under the tomato, otherwise it will dry out👍👌

08/03/2025: Another very memorable place that we Highly recommendable!!! The best thing is that some of our best food experiences are by stumbling upon them. The waiter said initially no table available but he noticed our disappointment! He said if you can be done by 8 PM ( 1.5 hour dinner) he could get us tables. We said no problem. We all were mesmerized by the view. The setting was great, food delicious the wine was great as well. Overall a fantastic place to eat. Also the restaurant on the inside provides great ambiance. By the time we finished it was 9 PM, nobody rushed us. If I’m back here again, I will stop here to eat!!! Sorry no good photos of our dishes.

12/01/2025: What a beautiful setting with a stunning view. We ate at Le Vecchie Mura on out trip to San Gimignano in October. We had the porcini mushroom pasta and the truffle carbonara. Both the dishes were delicious. It was a beautiful night and so nice to be able to sit outside with a wonderful view. If you are going to be in San Gimignano, it is definitely worth it. Hard to find a better setting.
