This evening, around 9:00 PM, we spontaneously decided to have dinner with eight people and were looking for a restaurant. Even though we arrived without a reservation, the team went out of their way to arrange a large table for us and gave us a very warm welcome. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. One pizza arrived a little late, but this was handled more than fairly – we even received a complimentary bottle of wine. A big thank you to the entire team! We will definitely be back on our next visit to San Gimignano. Highly recommended!

Very honnest food and price at the brasserie

It's a very nice, upscale restaurant with slightly higher prices and friendly staff. The food and Aperol were delicious, and I was able to sit on the small terrace with a wonderful view. Olives, vegetable sticks, and bread were also served. The downsides are as follows: I ate (fresh, homemade) gnocchi for €15. However, this was a very small portion, and even with the bread, olives, and vegetables, I wasn't full. And I'm really not a big eater. The water, which is offered as a nice gesture, ends up costing €3. AND at the end of the bill, there's an additional €3 "cuperto" on the bill, a kind of service charge/table fee. All in all, this meal ended up being more expensive for me (single-person) than planned, as it added another €6 to the bill. The stars are deducted for the hidden costs and the small portion size.

We almost missed out... and what a mistake that would have been! As soon as you step through the door of La Griglia, you discover a magnificent, bright dining room, elegantly decorated with stunning mirrors and perfectly set tables. Special mention goes to the semi-enclosed terrace, which allows you to enjoy a cool lunch, even when it's very hot outside, while still being sheltered from the wind. The service is impeccable. The entire team is smiling, attentive, and incredibly kind. You can tell that here, the pleasure of welcoming guests is a true priority. On the plate, it's flawless! The mushroom risotto is creamy and fragrant, the ravioli are excellent, the lasagna is generous and bursting with flavor. And to finish... the homemade tiramisu is simply exceptional. One of those you won't forget. A truly wonderful discovery that is well worth the detour. We will gladly return and will recommend this place to everyone we know. Despite the negative reviews, we decided to try this restaurant. We were welcomed by a very nice elderly woman who showed us to a table overlooking the Tuscany Valley! What a view! Our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding! We met the owner and conversed for a bit. What an incredible experience!

We just ate there, and honestly, it doesn't live up to all the negative reviews. The place has spectacular views, and the food was quite good. I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had, but for example, the entrecote was very good, and the bruschetta assortment was excellent. The service was superb, especially the tall waiter with white hair—he was exceptional. It's worth coming just for the friendly and welcoming service. It's not your typical place with overcrowded tables. And the cover charge is €3 per person, not more as I've read in other reviews (the same price charged everywhere else). Personally, I recommend this restaurant.
