02/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve 2026 at Casato and had a wonderful time. Each dish was an artistic creation and an explosion of flavors, made with high-quality ingredients, especially considering the seafood (including raw oysters). The service was impeccable and the staff extremely friendly. Excellent value for money. The location is modern and meticulously maintained. Highly recommended.

14/01/2026: A local cafe bar. Fabulous Capuccino and croissant, at cheap prices compared to some of the other places in Siena. Kind and friendly guy working behind the bar. I found this place by accident, but I want to share it with everyone because this is a truly local cafe bar, filled with locals who clearly love the place, products and the proprieteur.

09/10/2025: What an incredible property! The views of Montepulciano and the entire valley are amongst the best in Tuscany. The apartments and rooms are spacious and well equipped. The pool was still open for us in October, but I can only imagine how great it is during the summer heat. It’s perfect for romantic getaway or for families. The onsite restaurant was fantastic, from the food to the great service. The shuttle service is prompt and readily available; it’s less than a 5 minute ride to inside the walls. Andrea and his team were the best. I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay here again. We have been to Montepulciano several times and this property is amongst the best we’ve stayed in.

21/03/2026: Have been here twice and always book a table when we visit from Los Angeles. All the food is FANTASTIC, especially the ones paired with Brunello. Coming back in June. See you soon!

20/03/2026: We had a really great meal! We ate there twice during our three-day stay. We had bruschetta as a starter and pasta afterwards. The dessert was fantastic each time. We paid €75 for a starter, two main courses, dessert, wine, etc. I can't think of anywhere else where we've had food that was significantly cheaper, especially not of this quality.

15/02/2026: The first courses and appetizers are excellent, and the black crostini are delicious. A special mention for the dessert: the crema catalana is excellent!

02/01/2026: Delicious huge pizza just for 7,5 EUR. The prices are very good for Tuscany area, maybe because the town is not that touristic. We definitely recommend. We payed 25 EUR for two pizza's, water and 2 glasses of wine. Very filling, fastly done and the waiterress was very friendly and nice.

22/02/2026: Strategic location next to the slopes. Exceptional, super helpful staff. The food is excellent, with several of their dishes standing out, including the best: suckling pig in a bread crust. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and extremely clean. A great place to eat and stay.

29/01/2026: We had four simple hot chocolates, good, the person at the counter was kind and helpful, when we arrived we had initially taken a seat at a rather narrow table in a corner, which was probably suitable for two people and instead we were four, since the next table for four people had two chairs with jackets placed on them, he came and moved the jackets that were occupying the space, and made us sit there, it was a thoughtfulness that we appreciated.

29/01/2026: We ate at Osteria Nonna Gina and immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of charm—just what you'd expect from a true osteria. The food was delicious, honest, hearty, and prepared with love. You can taste the tradition and the quality ingredients in every dish. The homemade classics, in particular, made a lasting impression. The service was warm, attentive, and personal; they took their time and made us feel truly welcome. Our conclusion: A place with soul and authentic Italian cuisine. 20/01/2026: This family-run osteria, just off the main tourist trail, is one of those discoveries that brighten up your day. The service was a perfect dance: smiling, fast, and disarmingly kind, the staff made you feel immediately at home. But the real applause goes to the food. I ordered the Pici alla Dado, and when the dish landed on the table, the intense aroma of the sauce literally silenced our conversation. The texture of the pasta was masterful: that tough, rustic bite that contrasted beautifully with the enveloping softness of the sauce. "Finally, we're thinking," I commented to my companion after the first bite, as he happily cleared away his plate of gnocchi. The atmosphere, lined with historic family photos, is warm and lived-in, even if the space feels a bit cramped. So, everything perfect? ​​Almost. The only sour note holding me back from giving it my all was the house wine: in a region like Siena, I expected a red with more soul, but instead I found it flat and forgettable. A real shame, because with a glass worthy of it, it would have been an absolute triumph.
