27/08/2024: What a discovery this place was, I have been frequenting this area for years and I had never been to Lake Chiusi. Not only is it pleasant to eat on the lake but the cuisine based on lake fish is exquisite. I recommend the pici with perch sauce and the skewers of eel and perch. Delicious desserts with Catalan cream revisited with liquorice.

24/08/2024: Siamo andati a visitare il lago molto bello e immerso nella natura Ci siamo fermati a pranzo Abbiamo scelto antipasto di salumi di Cinta molto buono e i salami Top Pesce di lago il piatto è chiamato BRUSTICO ed è cotto a fiamma viva , abbrustolito bene bene usando le canne che costeggiano il lago , quindi un sapore particolare e molto buono , condito poi con olio limone e aceto … CONSIGLIATO Come contorno zucchine ripiene molto buone anche loro Il cameriere una persona davvero disponibile e pronta a soddisfare le richieste dei clienti Il locale molto molto carino e pulito

17/08/2024: Personale gentile ma disorganizzato. Dopo il rinvio del Palio del 16 agosto, il mio gruppo di amici ed io ci mettiamo alla ricerca di una trattoria in cui cenare. Premetto che non avevamo prenotazione, e che il personale è stato gentilissimo ad accoglierci dopo le 21.15, ci siamo poi seduti alle 21.45, oltre l’orario di chiusura, ma non ci avevamo informati del fatto che la cucina stesse chiudendo. Dopo esserci seduti ci segnalano che, dei piatti sul menu, erano solo più disponibili pochissime opzioni. Finiti i pici, il sugo d’anatra, le patate, i galletti, l’ossobuco, lo sformatino di verdure. Alcune mancanze sono state segnalate dopo che avevamo già ordinato. Anche il servizio è stato disorganizzato, non ci sono stati portati i bicchieri subito e non c’erano quelli del vino (finiti), abbiamo dovuto chiedere le posate perché il cibo era già arrivato in tavola, così come il pane. Qualità del cibo mediocre, buonissimi i cappelli del prete con il tartufo, mentre il resto senza infamia e senza lode. Conto relativamente alto per quanto mangiato e per la sua qualità e per cosa bevuto. Nota positiva: i sorrisi dei camerieri, invece, non finiscono mai!

12/08/2024: A real insider tip. Excellent food, very friendly staff, everyone speaks English, some even German. The pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven and is extremely tasty, the hot dog and burger dishes are Italian interpretations that you simply have to try. All of this at family-friendly prices. We'd love to come back.

11/08/2024: Wonderful place! A small pizzeria, a few tables, a family atmosphere and delicious food. We were there twice and both times without a hit. Delicious Italian pizza, bruschetta on world championship pizza dough and a charming owner. Definitely yes😘😎

10/08/2024: While passing through Tuscany, we visited San Gimignano, a real gem, where we decided to spend the evening. It was by chance that we walked through the door of Vecchie Mura and what a lovely surprise. The staff is very friendly, the food excellent and the atmosphere exceptional with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape! I highly recommend! Thank you to the whole team for this delicious moment!

10/08/2024: In summer, and even more so with the heat, you want to go to dinner later, after 8 or 9 p.m.... in the fresh air. They close at 9:30 p.m.…. They do not have schedules appropriate to the circumstances of tourism. Much better to have dinner later in the Plaza de la Cistera (it has more suitable times)

05/08/2024: Top Service! Friendly, respectful, anytime here. Starter was good. T-Bone steak was ordered medium well. We received one side medium well and the other side rar! Dessert was really tasteful!

09/08/2024: Siena is definitely not a destination for those who love restaurants. The Ghibelline confirms the low level. Service: from the table next to us, with two tourists eating a Florentine cooked on the grill (sacrilege), a bottle of wine fell, which, when it broke, dirtied the floor and our shoes in red. The bottle, now shattered, was simply put aside and remained on the floor for the entire dinner. The food: good brain even if it lacks refinement (it lacked salt and the batter was not very crunchy); the sirloin, always cooked on the griddle, without any maillard reaction, almost boiled, was cooked then cut and grilled again: it is enough to open a cookbook to understand that these processes, now dating back to the eighties, do not respect the meat, making it dry. I understand that cookbooks are expensive, but they are easy to read - open them! I am adding an edit to the answer, because everyone is good at countering without expecting a response: the griddle exists grilled and otherwise. To respect it, the Florentine steak is cooked on the grill on a nice elevator grill perhaps, or if you don't have space in the kitchen with a Japanese barbecue or a big green egg. The embers, the basics. I worked for 8 years in kitchens, even starred ones, I read many cookbooks and received a lot of criticism; accepting them is necessary to improve. Regarding Siena, it is well known that, despite being a city that offers excellent products, restaurateurs are unable to exploit them. It is no coincidence that in this beautiful city, which is a province, in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, there is still no starred restaurant. Then, you do it: continue to brainstorm for the Sienese and cook meat for the tourists; so it is with those you work with. As you can see, this is the only review on my Google profile: it's not my hobby, it's not my sport, but perhaps it's a good idea for it to become a commitment, given the progressive degradation of restaurants.

19/08/2024: We stopped at this pizzeria on the return journey, the lady who served us did her best despite being alone and having quite a few customers to serve, the pizza was good and the price was honest.

16/08/2024: An inconspicuous pizzeria in a town with nothing to see, but it's worth stopping when you're passing through because the pizza is amazing.

19/08/2024: I give this hotel 3 stars and THAT IS ME BEING GENEROUS. My recent stay at this “four-star” hotel in Chianti was underwhelming. If you stay here YOU MUST RENT A CAR. Despite requesting transportation from the airport, the hotel failed to inform us that renting a car would be essential to explore the region without feeling trapped. We wanted to leave and go to wineries, cooking classes, etc.. and it either costed a fortune or was impossible to find a diver. The location is secluded, with no nearby transport options, and there are only two restaurants, both of which were disappointing. For a Tuscany hotel, we were expecting at minimum average food, but no! Definitely not! The service was lacking, with no staff available to serve drinks or provide towels at seating areas. We went to the pool had to scavenge for our own towels, uncover the chairs, etc.. Food options were limited, especially between 2 to 7 PM. Once they close lunch at 2:30pm there is no food in sight. To make matters worse, our room had stained bedsheets and a pilly duvet, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Not to mention when we arrived to our room we were welcomed with a bag of dirty diapers 🥹. While the staff was kind, the overall experience fell far short of our expectations, particularly in terms of food and basic amenities.

06/08/2024: Excellent service. Rustic style but recently renovated, the atmosphere is quite pleasant. The house wine is cheap and of good quality, we only ate cold cuts and first courses but we appreciated everything. I advise.

26/08/2024: Excellent pizzeria. All the staff are very kind and helpful. Very nice, simple, private and relaxing environment. We ate in the courtyard, reservations are recommended to eat on the terrace. Great background music. Delicious pizzas, light and soft dough. The list includes many classic pizzas and some very interesting special ones, such as the white one with egg and vegetables.

21/08/2024: Excellent time spent in this restaurant. The pizzas are delicious, the setting is splendid and the service is fast and efficient. Absolutely worth testing if you pass by.
