12/06/2026: My husband and I had dinner at this small restaurant/pub. We had made reservations, realizing it was quite small with only a few tables inside and out, based on other reviews. Silvio, the young owner, welcomed us kindly and served us quickly. We ordered two platters of mixed cured meats, three types of pecorino cheese and porchetta, two portions of Tuscan tripe in a pot, a portion of fried potatoes, and a plate of eggplant with mushrooms and pan-fried chicory. We were truly satisfied; everything was delicious!!! Not everyone likes tripe, and obviously there were other options, but if someone does, we can say they were the absolute best we've ever had in a restaurant. We absolutely recommend it!

05/06/2026: We stopped here on a whim today and were blown away. The pasta was delicious and the fries were the best we’ve had in Europe so far. Everything came out fresh and piping hot. The craft beer selection is fantastic and a nice change of pace from all the wine tasting. The owner is friendly and accommodating and will tailor a beer to whatever you’re in the mood for. He really knows his stuff. Prices are extremely reasonable. A great place to stop for lunch and grab a beer!

15/08/2026: For meat lovers... forget it. This is a tourist place where they don't know how to cook a fillet rare. Completely covered in a sour sauce (must have been balsamic vinegar). Kudos to the staff for understanding and not charging me for the fillet. Average quality cut.

15/08/2026: We came here by chance, drawn in by the fact that they made the cutlet our son had been wanting for three days... we ate very well and the place is beautiful! The bill was also very fair... next time we're in Siena we'll definitely be back.

10/08/2026: Great place for a quick stop, or for dinner in a beautiful setting between the Siena countryside and the city. Recommended for those traveling by motorcycle. Here you'll find excellent Tuscan cured meats and traditional Tuscan dishes. Excellent and fast service. The waiters are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

28/07/2026: A small bar in a charming town. They have excellent local wine and a large selection of beers. The antipasti were also very good. I'm taking one star off for the salt-free bread, which spoiled the flavor of the appetizers.

07/08/2026: A perfect spot for a quiet meal on a small street. The service and welcome are excellent. The food is quite good and very affordable for families.

05/08/2026: The service could certainly be more efficient, but they're already very friendly, which isn't bad at all. However, I was very disappointed with the pasta. The sharing platter was decent enough, even if a bit pricey, but the pasta stew was really bad; it tasted like a student meal.

07/08/2026: My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Enoteca Svanen in Tuscany. The warm, homely atmosphere and beautiful views made it such a memorable evening. The food was amazing, especially the pici dishes with Chianina ragù and Tuscan pork ragù. We finished with a delicious homemade chocolate salami, and were even invited to try their homemade basil liqueur! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for a great Tuscan dinner, wine, views, and hospitality!

31/07/2026: Must try. Friendly staff, simple but quality cuisine. Excellent wines. A special mention for the peposo and the house digestif. We had a wonderful time. We'll be back.

24/04/2026: A very nice place, the food is excellent, and above all, there's always excellent live music. Reservations are recommended because, depending on the events scheduled, the room fills up quickly. The kitchen serves excellent dishes, original and without frills. The bar is also great if you don't want to dine but just have a drink; there's a wide selection and excellent bartenders. A place suitable for all ages.

07/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! The "gran crudo de i piaceri" duo is incredible for meat lovers! For children, the Tuscan lasagna and the melon and prosciutto are also a delight. The service was quick and very friendly! We highly recommend this restaurant! 👌

18/07/2026: The food looked good and was well-presented, but both dishes we ordered lacked flavor. One was duck and the other veal. At the end, we ordered dessert, the Nocciola, which, despite its good presentation, had a tasteless hazelnut cream, dry chocolate cake pieces, and overall the dessert was bland. We paid €102.50 for two people, without wine. The quality/price ratio is unsatisfactory. It's a shame, but I won't be back.

03/07/2026: Made a reservation on the same day. Chose an inside table as the rustic decor and wine selection was very aesthetic. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Both service, food and wine were worth every euro. The whole meal was very balanced and the dessert was extremely light and well paired. Would highly recommend. Thank you to everyone involved and great recommendations. Would definitely come again.

11/06/2026: This very special place hosted our 50th wedding anniversary in May. Our guests stayed in their comfortable authentic rooms and the Locanda provided both wonderful tuscan food and drink multiple times over a 4 day celebratory period. Nothing was too much trouble The Maccari's are a wonderful welcoming family skilled in both culinary and customer service The locanda is spotlessly clean, provides exemplary service and welcomes guests from all over the world alongside locals. Their traditional tuscan fare is cooked to the highest standard. The stand out dishes for us are the burrato with anchovie topping, pici al ragu and the sliced beef with various accompaniments. The wines are wonderful You need not go further than the house red which is an excellent rosso di montalcino. We have just read negative reviews with incredulity. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as our experience from multiple visits to the Locanda in Castelmuzio.
