11/09/2025: Lovely little restaurant in the heart of the town. We sat outside and enjoyed the views away from the markets and the Panini's were filling and very tasty, accompanied by a lovely red wine. Excellent service from the guy there too. Will definitely be back when we visit again. To the waiter who served us - great Pokémon collection!

10/09/2025: We walked in by chance. Try the Chianti Classico and the Tuscan bread paninis. Delightful.

29/08/2025: When the city is crowded with tourists and finding a table seems like a struggle, you always end up with a spot here. The service is quick, and the staff know their stuff; they're friendly and knowledgeable. It's an honest place; it's not a trap for outsiders; our locals come here, and the atmosphere is just right, without too many frills. As for the pizza, though, we were a bit divided at the table. To be honest, I thought it was good, but a bit light on the toppings—the kind of thin pizza that many people like, but still leaves me a bit peckish. Another friend, however, thought it was too salty, so much so that his friends left half of it there. Overall, the price is fair, and the welcome was excellent. For a pizza without too many whims, we'll definitely return.

29/08/2025: The service and attention to detail was immpeccable. We sat outside, received great recommendations from the waiter and enjoyed our meal. From the wine, to the appetizers, main course and desert, the entire meal was well thought out, prepared and balanced.

05/08/2025: Pochi piatti ma molto ben cucinati, atmosfera familiare e un oste che ti fa sentire a tuo agio. Prezzi alti ma in linea con lo standard di Pienza: molto gradito il liquore finale…. ci facciamo uno Spinello? 😁 Ci tornerei anche domani!

31/07/2025: Ambiente gradevole e personale molto gentile menù molto limitato e prezzi esosi. Pici all'aglione buoni ma non abbondanti e un prezzo elevato (18 euro). Una lattina di Coca Cola 5 euro, un bicchiere di vino della casa 8 euro. Non lo consiglio nè ci tornerei.

25/07/2025: Super delicious cocktails! We were very satisfied. We sat on the terrace; you can only sit side by side, but you have a lovely view of the piazza. An awning would have been nice so you're not sitting directly in the blazing sun. You can also order the cocktails to go, which cost €1 less.

07/07/2025: Key Largo Bar – Espresso with Heart We came here looking for a really good espresso – and we weren't disappointed! The coffee was excellent: strong, aromatic, and exactly what you'd expect in Italy. The real highlight, however, was the moment when our little daughter naturally wanted a children's espresso – that is, milk foam in her espresso cup. The barista not only smiled warmly, but happily fulfilled her wish – and even on the house. A small moment that put a big smile on our faces. Conclusion: Good coffee, lovely people, a lovely atmosphere – that's exactly how you want to enjoy your coffee break.

28/07/2025: All the staff were pleasant except for the one we believe was one of the owners. He put us in two rather awkward situations due to the kitchen closing time and the choice of food. It's a shame because the food is reasonable and the rest of the staff was lovely. All the waiters and the other owner were very attentive. Except for this gentleman's manner, the rest was fine.

The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with the medieval charm of the village. The outdoor garden is simply enchanting, perfect for a romantic dinner. The food? Extraordinary. From the handmade pasta, to the delicate and flavorful main courses, to the desserts that seem to have come straight from a family recipe book. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and with a care that is evident at first bite. All accompanied by an extensive wine list, featuring select local labels. The service was impeccable: courteous, attentive, and always smiling. You can sense the love for the region and the authentic hospitality. Being guests at Relais Palazzo del Capitano made everything even more special: it was like living, for a few days, in a Tuscan dream. The experience is complete, harmonious, and profoundly authentic. 30/08/2025: We've rarely experienced such poor service. The hairy waitress made no secret of the fact that she didn't really want to serve us. The waitress skillfully and continuously ignored us. She showed no effort in any area. We will definitely not return to this restaurant and cannot recommend it in any way.

22/08/2025: It was very hot, and we mistakenly ate outside. It would have been perfect for the evening. A little less so for lunch, so it's better to eat inside. The children, however, were able to play freely in front of us.

02/09/2025: We got a table for seven without a reservation. The owner was very nice and spoke good English. The meals were generously sized and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The view was, of course, also a highlight.

Here's a taste of our gastronomic journey: 🧀 The creamy pecorino fondue with truffle sauce: a standing ovation-worthy start! 🍝 The pici with venison ragù: a first course that is pure Tuscan poetry, rich and enveloping. 🥩 The fillet with truffle sauce and the tagliata with arugula and parmesan: the meat, the true star, tender and flavorful. 🍖 And to finish in style, the lamb: an authentic flavor that ended our dinner on a sweet note.
