12/11/2025: The space is small, but as soon as you enter, you're captivated by the shelves laden with wine bottles, an open-view wine bar, and the aroma of meat, both cooked and raw. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

10/10/2025: We enjoyed this unpretentious casual venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s elegant but casual and the food and service are great. It’s attached to a small “museum” honoring Andrea. It’s like a cafe and restaurant and a bar, and a gift shop. All things Bocacelli! VictorB

07/10/2025: My family and I have been here a couple times and it is such a beautiful restaurant, lovely atmosphere, especially the courtyard, the staff are amazing and sweet. The food is absolutely delicious and out of this world! We will go back when in Lajatico again. Highly recommend!

18/11/2025: I had a lovely visit to your café. The flavours were wonderful, the cappuccino and filter coffee were especially enjoyable, and the croissants were truly delightful. The staff were warm and welcoming, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. There was only one thing that made my stay less comfortable. During the hour I spent there, a group at a nearby table were speaking very loudly, with constant laughter and strong language. They did not appear to be having any food or drinks, yet the noise continued the entire time. It made it difficult to enjoy the calm moment I had hoped for. I would be happy to return because the service and food were excellent. I hope this small comment helps to keep the café as comfortable as it deserves to be.

13/11/2025: I stopped in for a business lunch. Excellent tagliatelle alla cinta. Friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming restaurant. I can't comment on the price; they offered lunch. I'll stop by again if I have the opportunity.

10/11/2025: We were welcomed and pampered throughout the dinner; the waitresses were very kind and professional. The kitchen offers dishes cooked with top-quality ingredients, all very light and easily digestible. Since the restaurant was filling up, we noticed that our table was being served for a family of four, so we offered to move us to another table when it came time to pay the bill (discount on the invoice). I conclude by highly recommending this place. See you next time.

07/11/2025: We stumbled upon this place thanks to a package deal that included a platter and glasses of wine for two. This minimal place, tucked away in an alley in historic Pisa, is deceptively small, considering the fantastic hospitality of the environment and the kindness and friendliness of the owners. Excellent food, purely homemade and made fresh. The only drawback is the lack of coffee, which was replaced with exceptional pleasure by the homemade coffee liqueur. We'll be back to try the first courses. Thank you for the experience.

26/10/2025: We had here a wonderful evening - plate of meats, cheeses, crostini and vine, oh, what an experience! <3 Local fresh products served by an excellent owner of the place - what a great host and spirit of the Enoteca! This is the place where you want to come back.

30/11/2025: Wonderful restaurant. The staff are so friendly. They can’t do enough for you. The food was delicious we had to go back again during our trip. I was concerned it wouldn’t be the same but everything was just as good as the first time. We had the set menu which was really good value for money.

27/11/2025: A charming and clean place, with a friendly welcome and everyone very kind. The food is authentic, very tasty (the chicken Vindaloo is excellent), and carefully served in traditional dishes. The tasting menu is generous and affordable, but the prices are still very fair. We've found the perfect place and will be back.

26/10/2025: My favorite place! Everything is delicious, but I think their pappardelle with porcini mushrooms deserves a special mention. They're, as always, out of this world. My partner agrees with his tonnarelli with wild boar. If you're in Tuscany, a stop at Osteria l'Upupa is a must (reservations required)!

20/08/2025: Simply a horrible experience. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by rude and surly staff who seemed annoyed. The worst part was the terrible quality of the food in every way. A horrific experience. And I strongly advise against it. Avoid going or buying anything from this horrible place.

25/07/2025: A casual restaurant offering quality dishes, specializing in wood-fired, free-range, antibiotic-free chicken, served in generous, tasty portions. The rotisserie offers a wide range of options: not only whole or portioned chicken, but also pasta dishes like lasagna, gnocchi, chicken parcels, finger foods, and side dishes like roast potatoes, caponata, or grilled vegetables. Friendly staff and efficient service. Excellent value.

17/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last night. The tasting menu is a journey through flavors! The blue cheese with white chocolate, the tartare, and the wild boar tortelli were excellent. The atmosphere and service were elegant but not too formal! Highly recommended!

14/08/2025: Dinner at SaQua is a culinary journey – a modern approach to traditional Tuscan cuisine, where every bite becomes a small work of art, accompanied by a romantic view of the picturesque town of Montescudaio. This is a place where flavors blend and infuse the atmosphere. The restaurant is elegant, yet cozy. The staff pays attention to every detail of the guest experience from the very first moment. We opted for the tasting menu, and from the first bites, it was clear that this place is driven by passion and immense talent. Local beef tartare with avocado cream, olive powder, and crispy bread flakes – fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced. Blu di bufala – an intense buffalo cheese accompanied by sweet and sour toppings that created an extraordinary harmony of flavors. Ravioli with wild boar in butter and sage – our favorite of the evening and an absolute hit. The thin, springy dough and rich, deep filling made this dish a lasting memory. Tagliolino with pigeon, blueberries, and a hint of gin and tonic – a bold yet cohesive combination. Pork with puree and apple and plum chutney – the chutney was absolutely fantastic. Pre-dessert: cherry sorbet – intense and wonderfully refreshing Dessert - Hazelnut Namelaka cream, passion fruit, caramelized nuts, lemon meringue Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Simone Acquarelli – an incredibly personable man with a passion that shines through in every dish. SaQua is a place you want to return to – for the flavor, the atmosphere, and the people who create this wonderful place.
