28/03/2024: Extraordinary place, in a stunning setting among the Tuscan hills, it's like a hidden gem. The food is very elaborate, delicious and made of local ingredients! Every little bite takes you to another place of the region. From the salt of Volterra, through a fresh virgin oil, to the local Marzuolo truffles. The service is amazing - a cherry on the cake. Definitely we'll come back!

27/03/2024: The location of the accommodation is beautiful, surrounded by nature, in a peaceful and quiet area. The access to each room is made directly from the garden and our room had a good size and it was clean. The bathroom was very funcional too. Opening the window and seeing the green hills of Tuscany and the sunset was very beautiful. The soundproofing is not great and so we were able to hear the snoring of our nextdoor neighbor. Since we stayed here in March which I guess is off-season, the breakfast had to be discussed the day before and the host prepared something for us according to our requests so it wasn't a regular, continental breakfast. Overall it was a good experience.

12/12/2023: We stayed just one night in November '23. The owner asked us if we would like to stop for dinner. After reading excellent reviews, we decide to stop for dinner too. No starters: they are going to be a farmhouse, it would have been the most awaited course, but nothing. The two first courses: ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta with butter and sage. They were 3 in number and overcooked. However, being hungry, we ask for an encore. This time the cooking was spot on. Second course, tagliatelle with wild boar ragout. Overcooked tagliatelle and non-boar ragù. For second peposo with boiled potatoes. Minimal portion here too. Undrinkable wine. We were only two tables of two people. Now, I wonder, if it doesn't suit you to open the kitchen for just 4 people, don't do it! The quality, the portions, the cooking: all wrong. Nothing that suggests you are eating on a farm. Disappointing.

16/10/2023: It was a surprise to know that the Normale of Pisa was in this building by Vasari, taken from a previous Middle Ale but with graphites with symbolic drawings and the Grand Dukes of Tuscany! Is it the square in front? All a human-scale enchantment for men

19/10/2023: So haben wir uns den Urlaub nicht vorgestellt. Das Zimmer entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Bei den Steckdosen muss man aufpassen, dass wenn man den Stecker herauszieht man nicht die ganze Abdeckung in der Hand hat. Manche Steckdosen funktionierten überhaupt nicht. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass an jedem Fenster ein Fliegengitter angebracht ist, jedoch sind diese so alt und kaputt das sie kaum Fliegen und Wanzen abhalten. Da wären wir auch schon beim nächsten Punkt. In unserem Zimmer war alles voll mit Stinkwanzen, die man kaum unter Kontrolle halten konnte, da immer mehr durch Türen, Nischen und durch die kaputten Fliegengitter hereinkamen. Auf Nachfrage gab man uns ein Staubsauger und stellte alles so dar als wäre das „normal“ und nichts besonderes. Des Weiteren ist die Ausstattung in Sachen Küchengeräten zum Kochen nicht sehr breit gefächert. WLAN war ok und das Restaurant solide. Auf einen erneuten Besuch verzichte ich trotzdem gerne.

31/08/2023: We were guests of this property for 5 days and had a very good time. The farmhouse is in a splendid position, surrounded by greenery and is surrounded by wonderful silence. The hosts, Ambrogio and Silvia, are very friendly, always available for any need. The breakfast, both sweet and savory, is excellent and also offers homemade desserts. The salt water pool is ideal for those who don't like the smell of chlorine. The farmhouse is also a good starting point for visiting enchanting places such as the Masso delle Fanciulle, or splendid cities of art such as Volterra or Pisa.
