I had already been to Badò in 2018 and, being in the area, I stopped without a reservation. I found authentic cuisine, a knowledgeable waiter, a homely atmosphere and excellent food.

A typical trattoria just outside the walls of Volterra. Excellent for enjoying authentic, traditional dishes. The waiter who served us was very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed excellent pici with duck ragù and spectacular pappardelle with hare ragù, all washed down with a delicious house red. Highly recommended for a tasty and affordable stop.

A typical Tuscan trattoria just outside the historic center of Volterra. Besides the excellent food, the owners are truly available to advise and explain their traditional dishes. The price is fair. During our five-day vacation, we always opted for dinner at this trattoria.

08/04/2026: Superb experience! The food was delicious, exceeding all expectations. We had shrimp tempura, squid cannoli, tortelli Bolognese, crispy octopus, cheesecake, and chocolate cake. Each dish was unique, and the flavors transported you to a different world. We went with our 4- and 1-year-old children, and they even prepared a pasta dish off the menu for them. Impeccable service and a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent wine selection.

07/06/2026: Excellent dishes, courteous service and the veranda is very comfortable with the backdrop of the park, a very pleasant location.
24/05/2026: Excellent food, a location surrounded by nature with wildlife encounters (deer, foxes, wild boars, etc.), professional and very friendly waiters. Excellent value for money.
