20/01/2026: The place looks awful, and that's part of the charm. Lots of Italians when I was there, which is always a good sign. I had two really delicious sandwiches. The man behind the counter was very friendly when I tried my best Italian, but I also heard him patiently explain everything in English. I think I'll go back tomorrow.

18/02/2026: We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The entire staff was welcoming and kind, but Nick truly stood out. He was so attentive to me and my friends, constantly checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. It was our first meal in Florence, and it definitely set a high standard for the rest of our trip. Nick was incredibly personable and made us feel genuinely taken care of. His recommendations were spot on and really elevated our meal. You can tell he truly cares about giving guests a great experience. We would absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

28/12/2025: Highly recommended! The staff is friendly, professional, and happy to chat with anyone. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, especially compared to other nearby restaurants. We had the spaghetti carbonara, the grilled chicken, and the veal loin: everything was delicious. The potatoes were exceptional. Shoutout to the guy I believe to be the manager, who welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. His voice, reminiscent of Giobbe Covatta, makes the conversation even more enjoyable. Thanks also to the young man who served us at the table, who was competent and very kind. Congratulations to everyone, and we hope to return soon!

14/03/2026: Those osterias you stumble upon by chance and that ultimately become a memorable address. We went to Osteria e Vinaino Cicalone in Florence and it was a wonderful surprise. We hadn't booked, and from the outside it looked full, but we asked anyway, and within minutes they found us a table. The place is small but very welcoming, with informal decor featuring signs brimming with irony and Florentine humor. Quality rock music plays in the background, giving the place character and creating a relaxed atmosphere. The owner recommended the wine: a Cabernet from the Antinori winery. I must admit that I don't normally choose wines from this winery because I find them a bit too commercial, but this one turned out to be an excellent pairing with the meat. We had a succulent, tender, and freshly flavored grass-fed Florentine steak, accompanied by a baked potato and gratinated endive with bread on top—very flavorful. To finish, a Sacher torte where the cocoa was the real star. We also tried the homemade cantucci, and honestly, they were among the best I've ever eaten. The kind of osteria where you enter by chance... and leave already thinking about when you'll be back.

10/03/2026: Excellent dinner at this osteria. High-quality Florentine steak, very good desserts. The wait staff is courteous and discreet. We'll definitely be back to try the first courses and other dishes.

22/11/2025: I had dinner at the Varadero restaurant. The food was excellent, the price was fair, and the staff was friendly and professional. My only complaint is that, while tastefully decorated and clean, the space is a bit small for the number of tables inside. Highly recommended!

22/11/2025: Absolutely amazing food and drink. Got the oysters, seafood carpaccio, and the squid ink amatriciana. Delicious across the board. Joanna (sp?) was nothing short of delightful, and I cannot wait to pay them a visit again.

18/01/2026: Very nice place and welcoming service, but room for improvement. The only sore point is the dishes. A large platter: a simple mix of cold cuts (mortar like the one at Eurospin in a box) with a few slices of cheese. Extremely high prices for the type of dish. First courses were good, but a bit too salty. Sliced ​​steak: cooked as requested, the meat was quite "nervous" and "durable," in short, a bit tough. Side dishes: definitely much better. Dessert: the cheesecake needs a complete overhaul. Summary: A rather disappointing experience, a touristy place, high prices.

10/03/2026: We were just wondering through the city center and bumped onto this little gem. It's a very nice restaurant, traditional and quiet. I probably had one of the best 'Pici with ragu' and burrata' I've ever had. The waiter has been friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back!

14/03/2026: €3+ for adding buffalo mozzarella to a pizza is a bit high, but the staff was friendly and the food was good, even though the pizza had a lot of oil.

14/03/2026: We stopped for pizza here given its proximity to the Mandela Forum, especially after seeing the positive reviews. We were warmly welcomed and ordered two pizzas and a covaccino with Nutella to follow. The dough was very good and easy to digest. The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely revisit it if we're in the area in the future!

16/03/2026: Pistachio croissant and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is good, but the croissant alone is very sweet compared to French croissants. I would have preferred a plain croissant with pistachio cream. It gets a little cloying towards the end, but the pistachio cream is good!

12/03/2026: I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend about a month ago and we had a great time. The pasta in particular was delicious and the service was attentive. Giuseppe waited on us, and he was super kind and helpful in accommodating our (my) requests. ♥️ I highly recommend it and will be back as soon as I pass through Florence.
