Ristorante Cicalone is always our FIRST reservation that we book upon arriving to Firenze! We visit Florence every year and eat here multiple times during our stay because it's just that good. The staff is engaging and friendly and the food is always served quickly. The atmosphere is fun and festive. Everything from the antipasti to the many pasta dishes, the Ossubucco, Red Wine and Black Pepper Beef Stew, or Florentine Steak is mouthwatering and fresh. The chef is incredibly talented and also a fantastic baker so save room for dessert! This year we celebrated my mother's 90th birthday at Cicalone and the always hospitable, inviting staff pulled out all the stops to make certain everything was perfect. The tiramisu was even presented with a birthday candle, while the staff sang and clapped. Oh, and the new wine door? You must try the Hugo Spritz!

Breathtaking. The pici cacio e pepe are delicious, as are the pappardelle with ragù. The real highlight is obviously the steak, 10 out of 10, it melts in your mouth... and Giacinto is a superstar.
It will become a must-try every time we return to Florence.

The staff guided us perfectly and the pasta dishes were some of the best we had in all of Italy. Nice wine list and helpful staff for any questions. Make a reservation but well worth it.

Quaint and pleasant atmosphere! Giacinto is phenomenal... The Florentine rib eye is spectacular! Osso buco is a great alternative for those who don't like their meat rare. Reasonably priced, and the staff is generally very friendly. Recommended!

On Franchino and Giulia's recommendation, we went here for lunch while passing through Florence. Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the Florentine-style first courses. Highly recommended.

Exceptional food! The cacio e pepe pici dish is a dream! One of the best first courses I've ever eaten.
The 1.3kg Florentine steak is expensive, but it's absolutely worth it because it melts in the mouth! Truly top-notch, highly recommended!

This was the first restaurant we ate in during our Italian trip and set the bar far too high. Just about every restaurant I have been too since then in the last 4 days I keep comparing back to this one. It a family owned restaurant and it has that home made flair to it.
We had the ragú and tortellini and its was fantastic. Service was great and they were always checking to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
Staff were friendly and knew how to have a laugh. They have a wine window and were sat just inside on the restaurant side, the staff have just as much fun with that window as the users do.
I highly recommend checking this restaurant out, you won’t regret it!

A place absolutely worth eating at, the best cacio e pepe I've ever had. The cacio e pepe sauce was perfect (anyone who says they use too much doesn't know anything about cooking). The pappardelle with Tuscan ragù was exceptional, not to mention the tartare appetizer and the Florentine steak, melt-in-the-mouth and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back. Kudos to the entire staff :)

Chosen after watching a video by two well-known YouTubers. There were four of us without a reservation, but we found a table. It's a typical osteria, as the sign says, so the tables, for example, are unlined. It's a shame that, in my opinion, the prices are more like a restaurant, meaning the price/location ratio. The fact is, a first course costs €18, a glass of red wine costs €10, or a grilled chicken thigh with green beans costs €20. I find them a bit high. It should be noted that the final bill of €138 includes one dish per person, two red wines, and a dessert... what if we had an appetizer, first course, and second course? It depends on your perspective. The first courses were excellent: cacio e pepe and norma. They say the grilled chicken thigh wasn't good. I don't know why the other two chose the roast beef; it was a bland dish. Giacinto, the waiter, was friendly and helpful.
