Service performed excellently, not invasive at all. The waiter was helpful and even inclined to have more than a chat.

Booked with a bit of pressure to leave the table free for a certain time. Good quality food unfortunately the price is high. Nice and clean place. Tried tomato and Florentine soup with two side dishes. Fresh tomatoes and quality Florentine tomatoes.

Excellent experience. We set out with good expectations but I must say they exceeded them! None of the dishes disappointed us, we had: pici cacio e pepe (photonic, I would hate it even just for this despite not being in Rome, a plus), ravioli stuffed with pecorino cheese with pine nut pesto, basil and courgette flowers, peposo with roasted potatoes (it melted in your mouth, you didn't need a knife to cut it) and last but not least lampredotto. We didn't have any dessert but they looked very good and above all homemade. Spending with water and glass of wine: 38 euros each. In a tourist center like this it is not easy to find such a good restaurant, in fact we natives rarely come to eat in these areas. Highly recommended.

I couldn't find better. Attentive service, excellent food, discreet atmosphere even if a little cramped. Definitely coming back.

What can I say, I had high expectations from this place which unfortunately did not live up to.
The first ones were nothing special.
We took:
Pici Cacio e Pepe - The cream was untied. In my opinion, the pecorino was not very seasonal, or it was little, or there was a lack of salt in the water, in any case it lacked flavour.
Pappardelle with Wild Boar Ragù - Good raw materials and good workmanship but unfortunately here too there was a lack of salt. In the mouth they remained tasteless and dull.
The portions in my opinion are small if we're talking about taverns, but I wouldn't have mentioned it if they had at least been superlative in taste.
La Fiorentina - Good but rubbery at times. The strange thing is that despite having opted for the Gras Fed meat, which in theory should have been the one with the tastiest fat, it was lean and didn't have all that side fat. Either way it was good.
The sore point is the service.
The gentleman who served us was cold towards us.
When we ordered glasses of house red wine, we noticed that we were given half the amount given to the people at the other tables. This gentleman does not show any characteristics of Tuscan hospitality and above all it is not what one expects from an Osteria service.
When I tried to give an opinion on the first courses, saying that they lacked a pinch of extra salt, the lady at the checkout told me that the cacio e pepe is tasty in itself, with a tone and a look that made me they made it uncomfortable, as if I didn't know anything about it. I would like to tell you that I have had the opportunity to try several places not only in Florence, and I usually have a lot of respect for your work, given that I also worked as a cook and Chef for 10 years, but here you have to improve in the details especially if you ask for these prices.
The bill for 2 first courses, 3 glasses of wine and a Fiorentina - 145 Euros, which for goodness sake is fine, but if everything was up to par which in my opinion it wasn't.
A piece of advice, try to listen to people and get ideas, which you can only improve.

I had very high expectations, I must say that I ate well, but not to say "I absolutely want to go back". Nothing exceptional, a mediocre tavern with nice staff.

I highly recommend this place. Osteria is to belittle it. Small, cozy but nice and quiet, equipped with everything. Monday 18th for dinner for 2, plenty of fat and a huge plate of cured meat starter (which I honestly didn't finish because it's huge). What about wine? It was a pleasure to go down!

Cicalone è uno di quei ristoranti dal quale una volta uscito, non vedi l'ora di tornare. Scoperto grazie ad un noto youtuber ho deciso di provarlo una sera a cena insieme alla mia ragazza. Il locale è molto carino, non molto grande, ma adatto per una cena o un pranzo in piccoli gruppi o per coppie. Abbiamo cenato scegliendo due antipasti, una bella bistecca fiorentina e due cheesecake. Lo sformatino di verdure e la trifolata di zucchine hanno ben introdotto una delle migliori bistecche assaggiate a Firenze. Una carne tenerissima tanto da tagliarsi quasi senza l'ausilio del coltello. A concludere due ottime cheesecake, una al cioccolato e una al caramello. Buonissimo anche il vino della casa.

Food was good, but not any more exceptional than other restaurants we visited. The tables outside did not seem to get the same level of service as those inside (I think they are more intended for aperitivo than dinner). There's also a fair amount of traffic and exhaust for outdoor seating, so I don't recommend going unless you can sit indoors (likely requires a reservation!).
