21/07/2024: I met this restaurant and its fabulous staff a couple of years ago, a very welcoming environment, an environment that becomes familiar over time. I would say an environment of times gone by, you become part of everyday life with them, you get to know each other and thus fabulous friendships are born. Working nearby, every now and then I treat myself to a quick greeting or lunch from Gianluca. Both he and his wife or the legendary Francesca pamper every customer, they are always cheerful, fun. 13/07/2024: Ambiente buio,sporco,vetrina con cose indefinite al suo interno,titolare che cerca di fare il simpaticone....piatti a dire poco indecenti...sono rimasti al 1970....pasta precotta e raffreddata sotto l acqua fredda dato che ha perso il suo colore e scotta la salsa messa sopra e tanta acqua sotto alla pasta stessa un roast beef indecente l unica cosa buona erano le rape rosse comprate gia cotte....l acqua ti arriva in bottiglie di vetro con il rigo del calcaree l olierà in tavola con olio che sembra di semi di infima qualità....un caffè che sembra d orzo....va bene che a pranzo il costo è di 10€ ma piuttosto un panino . Ci siamo capitati una volta ma sarà anche l ultima. Il posto avrebbe anche chance dato che è vicino ad un Grande ospedale (Careggi)ma così No.

20/08/2024: Excellent meal, pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms and meat of excellent quality and very tasty. On the other hand, a little expensive compared to the quantity on the plate, but I recommend it.

16/08/2024: Lovely place for dinner with amazing food. This was recommended to us by our local bnb host. Traditional Tuscan food! Worth a visit but make sure to call and reserve.

18/08/2024: Got 2 tomohawk steaks for the family on a recent trip to Tuscany. We brought them home to cook. They fed 14 people and the flavor was excellent. Could not have been better experience. Dario greeted us and was very welcoming. The best experience and best cut of meat I’ve ever had !

02/08/2024: However, this review will have little time because the place is close to closing; in any case we want to have a comparison. We came to this restaurant for a blind menu, 4 courses. We had already been here several times and they had all been very pleasant, excellent. This time, however, it didn't go as hoped. The menu was not very similar to us (excellent quality I want to specify) and with rather small portions. Inattentive staff. My partner dropped his napkin, the girl in the room insisted on changing it (absolutely not necessary for us) but... it never arrived. No one to come and ask how it was going, if I needed anything. After dessert we waited 20 minutes but when no one came (we would have liked a coffee and a bitter), we got up and went to pay. I don't usually write negative reviews, we like to discuss things directly when we're at the restaurant but we weren't asked for anything at the time of payment!! If we had liked it, we would have had a good time.... Nothing at all. It was only pointed out to us between the lines that we were the only table with the tasting for 4 and not 6..... I don't think it's a crime to choose to eat less. Given the price (€70 each), we didn't expect this service. The owner closes because apparently he no longer gets along well with the customers.... Sorry, but perhaps it's not all the customers' fault.

20/07/2024: Accommodating staff is the best thing to say about this place. Really bad dining experience. The place exudes style confusion.

17/06/2024: This "wine bar" has for years been a constant bad faith neighbor on this street, despite residents polite and continual asking for collaboration and lawful behavior respecting bans on disturbing nighttime rights to sleep and residential quiet. Run by people and owner who do not respect the residents of the same street they do business on, and ignore the laws banning noise and disturbance and chaos in residential streets, they knowingly use the road as their "bar" and ignore repeated polite requests by citizens to keep clients respectful of residents' right to sleep and a livable street without drunken yelling and crowds of 25 - 40 + more people at all hours of the night, even sometimes blasting music to make things worse, often beginning around midnight-- seriously. When confronted, sometimes they turn it down especially if no crowd has already gathered, but many times, there are so many people and it's so loud that they simply overwhelm the street, turning it into a Piazza, which it is not. They seem to pretend it's not their responsibility, and yet they pay no extra rent (having a bar that is literally as small as most bathrooms) for using- abusing the public street as their business. It is not. Do not add to this years'-long unethical and greedy abuse of the residents by giving them your business by going there, please. Residents have tried cordially speaking to, calling authorities, (and even appearing before a judge with previous ownership), and the new owners have never cleaned up the problem. Why? Your €€€. No one is asking people not to run legitimate businesses, but respecting your neighbors' rights and noise laws, as well as not manipulating the law by knowingly abusing it by unethically violating others' rights and waiting for the city to catch up with you and enforce the law, are fundamental to being part of the community where you do business , and making Florence livable for average people who actually love it and the neighborhood.

21/05/2024: Great cocktails and service. We visited twice and it was quiet, a nice break from the city. There is a toilet available.

22/07/2024: A show for those who love the genre! Spit roast with classic croutons, livers, pork loin, sarsiccia, delicious potatoes and house wine as if there was a tomorrow (I wasn't driving) Always a pleasure to come back to you!!! I also recommend for the courtesy and honesty of the prices!!!!

03/08/2024: I returned to Olio in the new location, after having appreciated it in the old building. I return to reiterate the skill of the staff, always attentive to guests and with an eye on territoriality. The oils are always carefully selected. The sea bass is spectacular, the duck breast is juicy. A mention for the millefeuille with cream and raspberry coulis: amazing!!!

21/07/2024: We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is amazing with an outstanding wine cellar. The service was perfect and we got very good advice and the food and wine. Deforest a place I recommend.

29/07/2024: Referred by Constantino of Hotel Beatrice just around the corner from his hotel....pedestrian street with outdoor seating and yummy pasta and great wine at a reasonable cost made for an enjoyable evening.

27/07/2024: Food, place, environment and people of the past. this place seems to have remained unchanged over the last fifty years, and it was truly a pleasure to dine with them. I'll be back!

16/07/2024: Restaurant in a small medieval village, with a wonderful view. Simple and welcoming environment. To start we ordered a mix of starters. Excellent quality cured meats and cheeses, crostini to be improved. Purely personal taste, deer meat is good, but grilling does not fully enhance the quality of the product. Abundant side dishes (finally!). The exquisite staff completes the wonderful setting in which you are immersed.

22/07/2024: I stopped by Borro for a drink and light snack and it was such a lovely experience! The service was quick, kind and attentive. There was music playing nearby and during golden hour it was nothing short of magical. With a view of Ponte Vecchio without the chaos of being near Ponte Vecchio it was my favourite spot so far in Florence. Since I only had a drink I can’t say anything about the food but the drink was nice, but a bit strong. Their wine selection was lovely however. I’ll be back!

09/08/2024: Great food and very pleasant service. The burgers are very good and not to mention the tre pomodori pizza. But without a doubt the best is the tiramisu, when we took the first bite we couldn't believe how incredible it was. The beer is local and is also very good. In general, a very nice place, good people and very very delicious food.
