Excellent pizza! High quality method of baking and done simply and right. Staff were friendly - only shame is the mandatory cover charge.

Excellent quality, homemade food, a well-kept and modern atmosphere. All staff very friendly. We had to wait a bit to be seated because we were a large group and didn't make a reservation.

I have considered it my favorite pizzeria for a long time despite having only eaten there once many years ago. I'm not from Florence but I had the chance to return after a long time. The pizza is excellent, and this time we also tried a Florentine Limousine, which was also very good. Extremely recommended

On this day my husband and I wanted a place for pizza that was walking distance from our hotel. We had had a long day of sightseeing and just wanted something quick and easy for dinner. We had pizza in Venice so why not Florence? So on 9/7/2023 we walked about 10 minutes or so to get to this place. there is outside seating as well as inside. The outside tables appear to be full which is fine with us as we prefer the inside seating. Seated at a roomy booth and for drinks we get water, beer/Menabrea for Richard, and a glass of house white wine for me. We're here for pizza so we ordered the margherita which is what we always get when on trips. I let our server know we will be sharing the pizza. I must say I was impressed by the cuts of meat I saw in the cooler. Menu has lots of options. When our pizza is brought to the table it is on 2 plates-half of the pizza on a plate for Richard and half of it on a plate for me. The crust is very tasty but the middle with the sauce and cheese is very soggy. The crust under is almost nonexistent. Sauce and cheese good but the crust under it?? I'm disappointed. Not the best pizza but not the worse we've had. I guess I just expected that pizza in Italy would be like a wow experience. We like our pizza to be thin but crispy, not soggy. I'm also not sure if the pizza was cooked in a wood fired oven as that can make a difference in the taste/overall quality as far as I'm concerned. I have room for dessert so I ordered the tiramisu. I don't recall having a dessert menu to look at. Maybe our server just told us what was available? This tiramisu was a bit different that what I've had before. More like a slice of tiramisu cake. The bottom layer tasted like orange flavored sponge then a thick solid chocolate layer. It was good. Complimentary limoncello shots. We didn't get the bill delivered to our table. We walked up to the counter and paid. Very reasonable. Cost 28€/$30.10. Service was excellent. Pizza was average-a bit of a disappointment. But like I said those cuts of meat I saw in the cooler............. Maybe I should have ordered steak. Taking all things into consideration we had a good experience.
