27/10/2025: Can't say enough about the awesome soup we ate. We had the shrimp and beef spicy wontons. Ingredients were fresh and the soup was so tasty. Would give it a 6 star if I could!

12/12/2025: Unsurpassed and very fresh fish and courtesy at the highest level. Only flaw but not decisive...: the interior decor is a bit dated and dark, dark. I recommend lighter curtains and furnishings for a place that is certainly one of the best fish restaurants in Florence and beyond!!!

18/09/2025: As a self-confessed stuffed potato lover, I couldn't miss this spot, nestled in the heart of one of my favorite neighborhoods in Florence. The atmosphere is chill, though it could be a little more lively, but the owner—who also serves as host—is friendly and sharp, and immediately puts you at ease. And then straight to the main event: potatoes. Plenty of choices, though a Fontina cheese on the menu would definitely be a good fit 🔥. The portions are generous: I went for the Cinta Senese sausage with stracchino cheese, which enveloped my palate like a warm hug. Perhaps the ingredients were a bit too solo, not 100% blended. I also tried the one with bacon and Gorgonzola, which is decidedly bolder, ideal for those who want a heavy, uncompromising flavor.

03/06/2025: I tried the raw Cinta Senese sausages, which they only serve on Fridays: exceptional. An interesting alternative to the classic restaurants. Highly recommended

16/11/2025: One of Florence's most historic and delicious trattorias. Delicious, traditional fare! The steak is a must, but the artichoke tart and butter chicken are also unmissable.

12/11/2025: Easily the best meal I had in Italy, Trattoria Sostanza feels like walking into a classic restaurant with the best food and vibes. The butter chicken is a standout, with the meringue cake, tortellini with meat sauce and artichoke pie also incredible! It is a MUST go in Florence!

22/11/2025: Very nice and rustic, you can really see it's home cooked and loved by locals. We appreciated the open kitchen, it was very clean. The menu is short and changes to the daily availability. Food is nice everyday food, don't expect a gourmet kitchen or haute cuisine. Staff was very nice, friendly and patient.
