01/11/2025: One of the best pastry shops in Florence. They offer desserts for all tastes: from vegan, sugar-free, to classic. Their made-to-order grottos are also exceptional; they customize them to your liking, and it's always a hit. The location is intimate and welcoming, and the staff is friendly.

19/10/2025: A lovely and truly exceptional place! We ordered two vegan tartlets and a cake (also vegan) that more than satisfied everyone, even the non-vegans! Beautiful and delicious! We'll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: I'll start by saying that the 3 stars given to the food are due to the fried food, and ONLY for the fried food, and nothing else. In fact, I gave it 4 stars overall. The place is tiny, right on Viale dei Mille with a small outdoor terrace. Make a reservation because they seat about 35-40 people maximum. We were outside; I had requested this when booking (I have a puppy, and it seemed more practical to sit outside). I was worried about the noise from the avenue, but to be honest, it was less of a problem than expected. There were two young waiters who were very kind and professional, especially the young man who served us. The menu has a few à la carte dishes (and that's fine, it guarantees fresh, carefully prepared products) and a good selection of catch of the day or specials of the day. That evening, there were several fish per kilo, cooked in various ways, and two express dishes, an appetizer and a first course. We ordered two à la carte first courses: spaghetti allo scoglio (seafood spaghetti) and linguine with crab, scampi, and shrimp (I don't remember the name of the dish). Both were very good, but my only complaint is practical. The crab, placed in half on the plate, even if divided between the shell and claws, takes quite a while to be properly enjoyed. Meanwhile, the pasta gets cold and overcooked, which is a mortal sin. Perhaps it would be worth serving the crab already cleaned, with only the claw to be split, to still create a show. Nothing to complain about the ingredients, excellent and perfectly cooked. MY problem comes with the fried calamari, shrimp, and cod. The calamari were cut into strips, not rings. The strips were rather dull, neither crispy nor attractive; tender, yes, but tasty. There are many ways to fry, everyone has their own, but generally you expect something crispy and tasty, lightly seared, those strips were not. The shrimp was shelled, and I don't like that either. You expose the heart of the crustacean to the extreme heat of the oil, while using the shell instead protects it, another questionable choice in my opinion. The flavor was good, but the texture was bordering on overcooked. The cod was cod; I don't know why it would be included in a mixed fry. Kudos to the homemade mayonnaise, but it was perfectly fine for a snack, since we're not at a fish and chips place. It was a bit disappointing, that's all. I was expecting something else. Ultimately, based on what I ate, I CAN'T SAY THE FOOD WAS BAD, ON THE CONTRARY. Maybe I'm just being a pain in the ass, but fried fish is something that deserves serious consideration, and I enjoyed it just fine. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. The overall 4 stars are precisely because we had a good time overall. We left feeling full and with a little extra cash left in our wallets, which doesn't hurt.

15/09/2025: Family-run seafood restaurant, managed with care and professionalism down to the smallest detail. I come often and have never been disappointed! I recommend the tagliolini with red shrimp or lobster, my absolute favorites. Excellent restaurant near Florence.

21/10/2025: A charming location in the hills, with various areas and settings. We went as a group for a buffet snack outside. Both hot and cold dishes were delicious, ranging from cold cuts to cheeses, canapés, and various other delicacies, accompanied by quality wine. Everything was prepared on a large table, with a young man supervising and constantly refilling the food. The price was more than reasonable for the amount served.

16/10/2025: Terrible experience. We were not treated well and even after we paid, they didn't serve our drinks, despite us waiting a long time.

15/10/2025: A wonderful place, the pizzas were uniquely delicious and prepared in a very short time. The products used are fresh and varied. The staff is kind, polite and very smiling. Payment by card is possible. We were charmed and will repeat on our next visit to the city.

26/08/2025: Just had dinner at Riatorante Alfredo with my wife. We were passing by and it looked enticing. My wife ordered a pasta with mushrooms. I ordered cheese filled ravioli with tomatoes and buratta. We each ordered an insalata mista. I had a large draft beer. My wife a glass of chianti. Everything was delicious! The people couldn't be any nicer. A small family run establishment with great food and service. Who could ask for more.

13/10/2025: I was in Florence for the second time, since 2019, and i was actually looking for the great trattoria - Trattoria dall'Oste Chianineria. Did not think to check my reviews on my account, and saw it first now, that it actually still exists. This restaurant though, in comparison with the other one for example, is just bad. Unacceptable behaviour and bad service as in management to run a restaurant. One gets a beeper for when to enter the restaurant, as in a que for a free table. We were told to wait about 14 minutes, and it went to 25 minutes, and the attitude and service of the girl at the desk is just awful. Basically its visible by the staff how bad it is in there. There was a couple that came after us, and when their beeper beeped before (!) ours, i went in and asked about the situation, and she just could not speak properly because she lied about that i should "talk (? Not sure exactly what she said) to a responsible person upstairs". Note that the couple that came after us, were very helpful and came along into the desk to also tell her that they actually came AFTER my company. I think i also saw two companies, along with this nice couple, that had their beeper beeped before ours. So, bad service, bad attitude from that girl in the welcome desk, bad management in general. We left to another better Trattoria.

31/10/2025: Last lunch in Italy with a friend to say goodbye. We waited 40 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. The mushroom bauletti weren't particularly interesting. The wait wasn't worth it. Quail with mushrooms and frozen blueberries. I don't recommend it. It was a place from my childhood, and honestly, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Advice: Avoid.

03/11/2025: We spent the afternoon with friends on the terrace; there were 12 of us, and we had quite a few drinks. We asked them to buy us a free shot, and they got very offended. They spoke to us rudely.

02/11/2025: The food was very good, and the girl who served us provided excellent service.

06/09/2025: We went to dinner without any pretensions, we had a steak for two and a glass of wine. €90 each? Are you kidding? They also listed two house entrees on the receipt, but we never received them. I don't even know if they were supposed to be for food or drinks. And then you bring me a steak for over €150, already cut at the table by the kitchen? Are you kidding? What kind of service is that? Plus, the steak wasn't even that great. Not to mention the wine sprayer... Horrible. In short, I'd say robbed. When we asked for an explanation of the absurd price, they told us that the meat in the fridge is priced per kilo... In the fridge... I'm speechless.

27/08/2025: 8:30 p.m. no more burgers, a bit mind-blowing 🥹 So we had to fall back on pasta stew, okay but not outstanding. We had to ask for white wine 3 times to keep it cold... In short, not a great experience.

12/10/2025: We had a Chianina beef with sautéed mushrooms and roast potatoes on the side, all truly delicious. The service was excellent; the young woman serving us was very nice and professional, while the gentleman was much friendlier and more down-to-earth, just the way we like it. The place is very charming and quiet, with the wisteria above us adding a special touch to the classic trattoria atmosphere.

08/09/2025: I'll start by saying that the quality of what we ate was well above the city average, and that certainly deserves recognition. However, it's absolutely not an osteria to charge €25.50 for—I swear, I'm not kidding—two bites of peposo. I found it utterly dishonest, I'm truly sorry to say. On the contrary, the first course was a decent portion, for a rather low price, considering the average for Florence. The service was rather anonymous and somewhat confusing. There was air conditioning, but it wasn't on, and it was very, very hot inside. Ultimately, €70 for an appetizer, a first course, a second course, a quarter of wine, and a liter of water seems excessive to me, considering the name "osteria." It wouldn't have been such an absurd price if the portion of peposo had been just a little larger. Two bites are truly a joke, even if they are delicious.

29/07/2025: Mangiando Mangiando is now a must, whether for a quiet dinner with my husband or for business lunches. Everything is top-notch: fresh ingredients, carefully prepared and authentic dishes, excellent wine with excellent value. The service is impeccable: professional, attentive, and rich in true knowledge of Florentine and Tuscan cuisine. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, presented with passion and authenticity. It's a restaurant for everyone—welcoming and accessible—but at the same time, it's a true Florentine restaurant, where Florentines don't feel like guests, but at home. An authentic, sincere place. Highly recommended!
