09/06/2026: By far the best seafood we ate during our stay in Italy and throughout Tuscany. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. It's clear the cuisine is based on high-quality ingredients and attention to detail. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere made you want to linger. If you're looking for truly exceptional seafood, this is definitely worth a visit. One of those restaurants that you'll remember for a long time and want to return to again and again.

20/05/2026: The most fascinating and informative experience - and the pizza was truly excellent. We were enthralled listening to the delightful owner explain that this type of pizza is a specialty of beautiful Siena. Ingredients such as pecorino cheese, leeks and local cured meats/ salami. The owner is honestly the nicest man we’ve met in Siena A and best of all - he has an oven fired up, and bakes the pizza to your order. Most other shops around here sell cold pizza and heat it up, not here- it’s made to order. Delicious and fantastic attention to detail and hygiene. We thank you for this truly magical experience in Siena.

08/07/2026: If you're looking for a slice of authentic Tuscany just steps from the tourist bustle of Piazza Santa Croce, Canto del Ramerino is a must-see. It's one of those rare places where its central location doesn't compromise the quality and soul of the restaurant. The Experience As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and refined atmosphere, with that scent of rosemary (the "ramerino" in Italian) that immediately makes you understand that the raw materials here are sacred. What we loved: • First Courses: Fresh homemade pasta that tastes of tradition. The pici and pappardelle are topped with flavorful sauces that are never boring. • La Ciccia: Being in Florence, the meat is the real deal. Their tagliata is tender as butter and cooked to perfection. • Service: Attentive and friendly staff, capable of recommending the perfect glass of Chianti without being formal or rushed. Mario is a phenomenon. The Verdict The value for money is excellent, considering we're in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. It's the ideal place for both a romantic dinner and a rejuvenating lunch after a visit to the Basilica. Tip: Don't leave without trying their artisanal desserts; they're a worthy conclusion to a memorable meal...

16/06/2026: We went for dinner. The food was good, the place was delicious, the staff very kind and friendly, but the prices were decidedly high for what we ate. A plate of pici each was good, a main course each without sides, and dessert for two was €70.

23/06/2026: The service by all staff was excellent. The food was even better (highly recommend the house pastas- try a truffle if available or their white ragu). The atmosphere was charming. Currently it’s Michelin recommended but it deserves a star. Cannot recommend this place enough.

07/07/2026: A lovely little family-run restaurant far from the tourist traps near Pisa Tower. The owners were so nice and came up to us to tell us that food would take some more time because it was just the two of them working in the kitchen. Food was amazing, we had lots of local cuisine and the bread was a hit as well! A perfect stop to hide from the scorching sun and to have authentic Pisa food. Highly recommended!

16/05/2026: This charming little restaurant with its romantic outdoor setting is an absolute must. The heart and soul of this culinary gem is the joviale Simone with his great knowledge of local products and areas. The quality of the food was truly excellent (I recommend the Gnudi Alla Florentina). A truly enjoyable and memorable evening during our Tuscan tour.

05/07/2026: Stopped by for an afternoon snack and to hide a bit from the heat. Got some wine and a medium-sized charcuterie plate filled with quality local Tuscan specialties. It was a lot of meat and the perfect amount for the two of us since we ended up being very hungry :). Great location near Piazza Pitti with a few tables inside and a table outside. Looks like they also have a lot of great homemade things!

04/07/2026: A truly fantastic experience! I tried the ragù sandwich and it was simply excellent: flavorful meat, perfectly cooked, and quality ingredients. But the real masterpiece is the lampredotto sandwich: nothing short of exceptional! Soft, tasty, the best I've ever had. You can sense the passion and care in the selection of ingredients and their preparation. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality is truly top-notch. Congratulations to the entire Alimentari del Chianti team! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to savor the true flavors of Tuscan tradition.

07/07/2026: I dined here with my wife, daughter, and a friend. The welcome was incredibly warm, with limited seating but well-distributed. The view of Montecristo and Pianosa was breathtaking. The owner rattles off the dishes his mother prepares with passion and attention to detail. Everything was truly delicious and beautifully presented. The price paid was worth the space and the service. The only drawback is the complete lack of parking, but that's the case for practically all of Capoliveri. However, although not widely advertised, there are several free parking lots and a free shuttle that takes you from the parking lot near the cemetery and sports field to within walking distance of the center. Then there are the "cool" ones who like to park like VIPs... But that's another story 😜 If you're on Elba and want a special evening, go for dinner here; it's worth it. P.S. Book well in advance! UPDATE 2026 After 6 long years, I finally returned last night... I can't confirm what I wrote previously, but I wish I could say more... the friendliness and presentation are superb... (the plump mussels 😁). Everything was simply delicious, and the location, especially at sunset, was dreamy. The parking problem remains unchanged, but if you go by scooter, there's plenty of parking. Remember, water causes rust... bring the wine!

13/06/2026: Meat served on a cold wooden board, various wines offered on the menu but not in the cellar. However, on the fourth bottle of wine, the cork has a problem and the opening is hidden. We are offered a tasting with a cork in the glass, but we decline, a piece of cork literally floating in the bottle. A quick trip to the kitchen and we are offered the same wine filtered into a glass jug... politely, we decline again. However, the price of the bottle (very high) seems to be included in the final bill. Stunned by such poor manners, we leave, disappointed.
