A great family-run place across from Palazzo Pitti. We had tagliatelle with ragu, lampredotto, and tiramisu, all excellent because Mamma makes it, so it's truly home-cooked. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, especially for those looking for a sandwich with traditional Tuscan products. A top spot.

I discovered this place thanks to a food show.
I have to say I had a great time. My son and I had lunch with a platter of truly excellent cured meats and cheeses, then we tried the Pappa col pomodoro and the Ribollita. A specialty!
We chatted with the owner, who was truly lovely, about the dishes and the show "Foodish by Joe Bastianich." We had a great time.
I saw they also make wonderful filled sandwiches.
The place is small, but there are tables outside with a view of the Pitti Palace.
And I forgot... the vin santo with biscotti was excellent.

In the heart of Piazza Pitti, surrounded by osterias that thrive on location and little else, this little sandwich shop manages to do something rare: be honest. A few tables inside, a few outside, it's a family-run business that you can feel—in a good way.
The bread is crispy, flavorful, the kind that holds a bite without falling apart. The cured meats are truly good, not the usual bland deli meats from the shelves. The cheeses, too. Sure, a few more slices wouldn't hurt in the sandwich, but the quality is there and you can taste it.
The ragù sandwich, on the other hand, is a serious affair, exactly what you come here for; slow-cooked, dense, and fragrant.
The porchetta doesn't disappoint either, and the ribollita, for those who aren't expecting it in a place like this, is a nice surprise.
Besides the sandwiches, they also offer first courses, but I haven't tried them.
The price is slightly above average, but we're just steps from Palazzo Pitti, and the food is quality, so at least you understand why you pay.
The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is simple and unfussy.
If you're in the area and are tempted to stop in at one of the many nearby osterias, resist! Walk a few steps further and stop here; I highly recommend it.

I saw this place in a Instagram video some months back and instantly knew just by the look of the food and the love they put into it that this was a must stop visit in Florence! Me and my friend arrived and sat down immediately and was greeted by our amazing host Gea who helped us with some options and local traditional foods to try. Everything was beyond delicious especially the home made desserts and we got to meet Gea's Mom who I believe does most of the cooking and they both are amazing cooks and hosts and everything there is top notch authentic. Definitely a highlight of my trip and was the first place I went to as soon as I got to Florence and will be everytime I visit this beautiful City. A Florence must off the beaten path! You will thank me later. Enjoy!

A grocery store just steps from Palazzo Pitti, recommended on various Facebook pages and guides for eating well in Florence. High-quality sandwiches with crispy ciabatta rolls and top-quality ingredients.
Highly recommended for a quick but tasty lunch before or after visiting the Pitti Palace.

Multum in parvo. Small but excellent for a quick lunch or to enjoy the Michelangelo's David of all Italian sandwiches, as a famous Italian-American chef calls it, the lampredotto sandwich. Recommended.
