30/03/2026: Re di Macchia is exactly what you hope to find in a Tuscan hill town—an intimate, welcoming trattoria serving traditional dishes with real care. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the hospitality makes the whole experience feel personal. We had a reservation at opening, and had a chance to meet the owner. He was so authentic, and caring, which absolutely came through in the meals. We had 2 excellent meals. My wife had the mushroom lasagna, and it was excellent—rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. I went with the steak topped with Parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, with just the right balance of flavor. This restaurant is a must do for anyone wanting an authentic, high-quality Tuscan food in a welcoming setting.

28/03/2026: Memorable meal in Montalcino at this family run restaurant. Excellent service, cozy ambiance and nostalgic food that left us with a smile on our face. We had the broccoli soufflé, eggplant parmigiana, steak, cannellini beans and tiramisu. Paired it all with a very delicious bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Lovely meal at a place worth returning to.

05/03/2026: A truly wonderful discovery, just 20 steps from the main street is this gem of a restaurant. The owner welcomes you and guides you through the entire dinner, starting with an original menu! A huge blackboard leads you to the table to discover the daily menu. It's a limited menu, but it makes you want to try everything (meat or fish). The service is perfect, but above all, the seafood is truly fantastic. Dishes with a touch of originality, truly well-balanced, a true pleasure to eat. I couldn't be happier with this fantastic dinner, and I can only say it's excellent value for money. Definitely worth a try.

06/04/2026: The agri-restaurant is surrounded by greenery. You can see the animals, and the staff is very kind and attentive. The man grilling explained to us what "panigacci" are and how to make them, making the experience very inclusive and conveying his passion for his work. In addition to the panigacci, we also ordered a mixed grill, pici with white ragu, and a half liter of red wine for a total of €60. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

06/04/2026: We had lunch at the Lamole restaurant for a birthday. We arrived late, with 9 slightly nervous and hungry children 😅, yet we were greeted with the utmost kindness! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, from the first to the last! We were able to accommodate all our requests, even the most unusual ones, with courtesy and friendliness! Because there were so many of us, we tried so many different dishes, and everyone was satisfied! Everything was delicious, high-quality, and served on time, which is not a given! 5 full stars for everything! A BEAUTIFUL, WELCOMING place with great food, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

06/04/2026: Craving lunch out of town...so I started looking for a nice little restaurant in Chianti. I found this place, which I have to say satisfied me in every way: super kind, attentive, and knowledgeable staff! Especially when it came to helping me choose the wine (they have over 300 labels available). The food was pretty easy, as we already had a clear idea 🥩. The price was in line with what we ate and drank, no complaints. Recommended, and when we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

10/01/2026: We spent a few days in Pistoia for the Christmas holidays, and on the evening of January 1st, craving a nice Florentine steak, we stumbled upon this typical trattoria. They offer a fixed-price menu, which I recommend, which includes mixed appetizers, a Florentine steak of a weight appropriate for the number of guests, three side dishes, and a dessert. Drinks are not included. The owner, like the staff, is incredibly welcoming. You can tell they really care about explaining the quality and provenance of the meat. Oh! By the way, aside from appetizers and side dishes: THEY ONLY EAT MEAT! It's a real steakhouse; they don't do first courses, they don't do fish... What a steak, folks! Served on piping hot plates so it doesn't get cold, and cut at the table by the owner himself. The only flaw: they served us French meat. Good, tender, but not the most flavorful. I would have preferred local meat. Anyway, I recommend it. It's worth it.

06/01/2026: This traditional Tuscan restaurant is located on Via Sant'Andrea in Pistoia, in a beautiful medieval building restored with exposed brick and stone. Enjoy fabulous grilled meats and traditional dishes with tasty crostini, excellent cured meats, side dishes, and appetizers, accompanied by a wide selection of white and red wines. The owners, with great professionalism and kindness, recommend these wines, turning a simple dinner into a truly exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful, meticulously maintained, and fantastic for photographs. Excellent in every way! The food, wines, hospitality, and sophistication. Recommended restaurant!

18/03/2026: Excellent food. We wanted a simple takeaway meal, and it worked out perfectly. The wait was short, even though the restaurant was quite full. Delicious food, great price, and they even gave us bread. Friendly service.

10/03/2026: We were recommended this restaurant for a taste of authentic Tuscan cuisine, and we ended up going there two nights in a row. Their ribolitta is very tender and has a pleasant, light flavor, and the baked potatoes and onions are excellent, pairing perfectly with their meat. Unfortunately, we weren't sure we could handle their signature T-bone steak, so we tried the veal T-bone steak. The flavor and aroma are simply amazing, and the meat is very tender, making it the perfect portion for one person. I really wanted to try an authentic Italian carbonara, but once we got to the restaurant, it turned out it wasn't on the menu. The waiter said he could ask the kitchen staff, and I ended up with my perfect carbonara (it's a little salty, but it doesn't interfere with the flavor). The consistency of the sauce and the doneness of the spaghetti were exactly what I expected from an Italian carbonara. The tiramisu was delicate with a light coffee flavor. Incredibly welcoming, yet not overly intrusive, service. All staff are willing to help and explain the menu in detail. We had a minor mishap, but thanks to the waiters' calm and helpful response, the situation didn't become awkward, for which I'm very grateful. Reservations recommended

07/04/2026: Excellent, elevated homestyle cooking. The food is a fusion of Calabrian and local Tuscan cuisine. The front of house is very knowledgeable and does a great job and explaining the food and pairing with the perfect wine. Definitely worth the walk to experience this no matter where you are in Siena.
