10/10/2025: An evening in Palermo at a real pizzeria! 🍕 A welcoming and authentic atmosphere, truly delicious pizza, and reasonable prices. The place was packed, with many people waiting: a sign that they really know their craft. A simple yet high-quality place, where you can breathe in the authentic Palermo atmosphere.

07/10/2025: We celebrated (half) my son's birthday at this place, at his recommendation, as he had been there before. After spending €150 for two appetizers, six pizzas, and six cans of drinks, we weren't allowed to open the bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine I had brought with me. So we celebrated his birthday at home, even bringing the cake back with us, something that had never happened at other places in the city.

28/11/2025: For us, the best restaurant in all of Palermo! The food was outstanding – every dish perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh. The service went far beyond the norm: attentive, warm, and absolutely professional. The atmosphere was simply magical and made the evening absolutely perfect. A special highlight: the bread, limoncello, and olive oil are all homemade – and you can taste the difference! Everything was incredibly delicious and prepared with so much love. Especially convenient: you can also take the food to go without compromising the quality. All in all, an experience that's hard to put into words – simply indescribably good. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

19/11/2025: The food was okay but nothing special, and the prices and coperto were quite high. The mussel soup wasn't very flavorful; I've had better. The water they swim in here lacks flavor. I would add more salt to the carbonara. The patate arrosto was quite good, but the price for potatoes, 8 euros, was outrageous.

The location is a true oasis of peace and beauty: immersed in greenery, meticulously cared for down to the last detail, and capable of instilling an immediate sense of relaxation. Perfect for unwinding. The food deserves an honorable mention. Each dish was a triumph of authentic flavors, prepared with the highest-quality ingredients and presented with great care. Traditional yet refined cuisine that celebrates the local area. But the real added value is the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Everyone, from the dining room to the reception, was incredibly attentive, smiling, and knowledgeable. The service was impeccable, handled with a discretion and promptness that truly makes the difference. You can sense their great passion and dedication to their work. Sincere compliments! We will be back very soon and will recommend it to all our friends.

29/11/2025: Okay, the toppings are excellent... but I find it a little strange that I can't choose a thin-crust pizza. The only option is to get one on the menu, but all the others have to be Neapolitan style, which I personally don't like. Too bad. Nice atmosphere.

17/12/2025: The food is poor for 18 euros with a drink. No meat, only vegetarian. It's edible, but nothing special. You can get seafood for that price on the main street.

07/12/2025: I visited this place for an aperitif with a cocktail included, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The drink served was truly poorly made: unbalanced, watered down, and lacking any balance. When I pointed this out to the bartender, instead of being helpful or even professional, he even took the liberty of making fun of me. I find this kind of attitude unacceptable, especially in a context where courtesy should be the cornerstone of service. It's a shame, because the concept might be a good one, but with this management and this lack of respect for customers, it's become an experience not to be repeated.

07/10/2025: Had a wonderful experience dining at Caponata. Dined on some absolutely delicious pizza and wine, by recommendation of a server at a near by wine bar. The service was absolutely wonderful, with staff members Valentina and Hamim being so kind and patient while I practiced my Italiano. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in Polarmo. 26/10/2025: The Pozzillo Tower, without its pistil, is a coastal defense tower that was part of Sicily's coastal tower system. It is located in the "Puzziddu" area, right at the highway junction for the Falcone e Borsellino Airport at Punta Raisi in the province of Palermo, within the municipality of Cinisi. It is state property and is easily accessible, with free access. Construction began in the first half of the 17th century, as it was not surveyed in 1578 by royal architect Tiburzio Spannocchi during his survey. Even at the time of Camillo Camilliani's survey in 1584, it still did not appear to have been built, despite his finding that the cove in front of it could accommodate 25 galleys: "there could fit 25 galleys." In 1625, the tower was not yet completed, although the records of the Deputation of the Kingdom of Sicily already listed its guardians and "torrari." Again from the records of the Deputation of the Kingdom of Sicily, in 1691 we learn that it had been entrusted to the Prince of Carini and that the garrison consisted of three men in total, including the artilleryman. From 1714 to 1717, the same records show that the armament consisted of: 1 bronze cannon with a wheeled carriage; 2 mortars; 6 arquebuses; 1 bronze culverin (known as a "masculo" or "mascolo"); 5 halberds; 28 cannonballs. In 1811, it is mentioned because its garrison was arrested for cowardice in the face of the enemy after failing to intervene to assist an American vessel attacked by pirates. The tower is mentioned in 1823 in the official cartography of the Bourbon army, but under the name of "torre nuova" (new tower). In 1867, it was included in the list of military structures to be decommissioned. It is currently unused and is in fair condition following restoration work beginning in 1970. It somewhat reflects the Camillian style. Today, an opening on the ground floor, located above the former cistern, leads to the first floor, which consists of three rectangular rooms. The largest, the one facing the land, is approximately 8 meters high on the longest side. The vault is barrel-vaulted, as is the custom, and approximately 5 meters high. A fireplace is located on the right wall, and a built-in cupboard on the left. The central wall contains a well that allowed water to be drawn from the cistern below. A stone staircase consisting of two ramps, set into the exterior southeast wall, leads to the roof. The terrace parapet was restored during restoration work in the last century.

09/12/2025: Excellent quality and prices. The sfincione is comparable only to homemade, as is tradition. The cannoli survived the sea crossing and made a great impression on the recipient. Everything was exceptional.

04/11/2025: Perfect Simplicity by the Sea This restaurant was recommended to us by a Sicilian friend from Palermo, and it was a total success. We arrived early and were lucky enough to get a table with a spectacular sea view, like we were on a boat. The food was simple and delicious. I ordered spaghetti with seafood ricci di mare and devoured every last bit 🤤 authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. My husband had fish: beautiful presentation and impeccable quality. The place is simple and unpretentious, which makes it even more special. Later on, it gets busy, and the service becomes a little slow, but that's part of the charm, and it's completely worth it for the view and the quality of the food. We would return without hesitation. An authentic and delightful spot by the sea.
