03/06/2025: Unfortunately I find myself having to give a negative rating to a place where I have been coming for many years. We arrived on a holiday Monday evening, the place was half empty. We sat down at 9pm and waited a good 15-20 minutes to order. We ordered an appetizer, 3 pizzas and a pasta, asking to bring everything together but we were told that there was a bit of a wait for the pizzas. That wait lasted 50 minutes and we finished dinner at 11pm. Some customers left the place without waiting for the pizzas. What I want to say, however, as a lover of this place, is that a bad night can happen, it was clear to everyone that something didn't work. I didn't go into detail, maybe a new pizza chef or some problem with the oven can happen. The real problem, however, was the total absence of the owners. The waiters left alone to the complaints of pissed off customers. When I went to the owner to point out that one of the diners at the table had received the pasta and had dined alone, we were first blamed for having ordered without specifying to bring everything together (false, in addition to the fact that if there are 4 of us and we order 3 pizzas and a pasta I don't understand why they should be brought at different times). Then we were given a senseless reason that was normal because we had ordered 1 dish from the kitchen and 3 from the pizzeria. The serious thing is not having received a single apology from the owners, in fact the fault was somehow ours. I would advise the owner to take an example from her waiters, the only ones to apologize and I must say despite the embarrassment to show their face to the rightfully pissed off customers. People have been coming to you for many years and would have understood, it was enough to explain the situation and apologize in person and not pretend nothing happened or even blame the customer. I would point out that I am not complaining about the fact that I did not receive a discount for what happened. You also bring people from outside to try a historic place and in an instant the trust you have in a place can be erased by the indifference of the owners and the lack of kindness. Too bad.

17/05/2025: I went there to wash away the greasiness that had built up over two weeks in Sicily after seeing reviews saying it was better than what I had in Thailand, but I regretted it so much... I should have just had pasta... It's not that the restaurant is bad, but if you've been to a really good Thai restaurant, you'll never be satisfied. I ordered kaow pad mushy on rice, but it was too oily as I was eating it, and the pad thai was really, really sweet... It couldn't be revived even with fish sauce/chili. I guess they made it to suit the locals' taste... The staff were friendly.

14/06/2025: Non voglio spendere tante parole perché chi gestisce il locale ne ha spese ancor meno per le mie esigenze. Chiedo la pizza per mio figlio così da poter far mangiare prima lui e dopo noi e vengo preso in giro dicendo che la pizza di mio figlio era in forno, e invece dopo 20 minuti, ordiniamo io e mia moglie e stranamente ci portano le pizze tutte assieme. Morale della favola Il gestore del locale decide le esigenze familiari, mentendo sul fatto che la pizza del bambino verrà preparata prima, e quindi te la serve dopo 20 minuti assieme alle altre due perché a lui sta bene così. Grazie signor gestore per poter decidere le nostre esigenze familiari, ma sa le famiglie con un bimbo di 2 anni che escono e si recano in un locale, cercano magari di rilassarsi, chiedendo soltanto la pizza del bambino così da poterlo farlo mangiare e poi le nostre, in modo tale da far mangiare lui e poi noi tranquillamente goderci la pizza. Ah dimenticavo il suo personale é gentilissimo e come leggo dalle recensioni non sono l’unico che si lamenta di questo atteggiamento. Poi non so se lei vuole un ristorante prettamente per NON FAMIGLIE, ma sa un bimbo di 2 anni avrebbe bisogno di un seggiolone, non avere un solo seggiolone in tutto il ristorante mi sembra un po’ un modo per non volere proprio noi con piccoletti. Ringraziamo il personale gentilissimo che ha saputo darci attenzioni e scusarsi dell’accaduto. Buon weekend

17/06/2025: Very nice place in the historic center of the town along one of the streets that leads to the cathedral. Possibility of eating both inside and outside at the tables along the street. Well-kept place and very kind staff. Excellent appetizer of the house. Good value for money. Excellent materials used and refined flavors.

09/06/2025: We had dinner last Saturday in 10 (including 2 children of 2 years each). The pizza may be excellent but we sat down at 8.20pm and we all ordered pizza without any appetizer... The pizzas were served to us at 10.15pm (not bad, right?!). One of the 2 children was served immediately, the other around 10pm. To our surprise, the tables next to us occupied after us who also had their appetizer had already finished their pizza before we even started dinner... In the meantime, however, we consumed 10/12 drinks between water, beer and coke... Too bad, because it would take very little to offer impeccable and faster service. There are also other pizzerias in the area that offer similar doughs with less waiting. Let's hope we're luckier next time. Having said that, the pizza is delicious.

08/06/2025: I believe that today's trend of inserting any ingredient in the good name of nouvelle cuisine is destabilizing all palates. Firmly believing that simplicity has always been brilliant even in cooking, I had serious difficulties in choosing the pizza because I couldn't find anything that was immediately understandable and that I could like. Even the capricciosa (pizza I've been attached to for years) didn't inspire me at all. I decided on the rose petals but, after more than an hour and a half of waiting, the pizza certainly had an excellent dough but left a slightly disgusting aftertaste on my palate due to the mix of flavors between the bitter pistachio, the sweet and the salty that literally punched each other and diminished the burrata (nothing special anyway) and the ham which was good but not as much as they had advertised it to me. Not to mention the beer for which there was a fight (so to speak) with the waiter, lost by me, in looking for a simple red beer without various spices or various flavorings that I didn't like but that they continued to offer me. In the end they brought me their simplest beer which when all was said and done seemed like a foolish chinotto with a liter of lemon in it (to make you vomit). I forgot. We had their typical hot appetizer (for two as they tell me) but which however wasn't even for one person. Maybe it has become too vulgar to give dishes that are enough for one person? In the end all the diners at my table many of whom with less ignorant palates than mine thought the same way. In short 32 euros per person to eat a pizza left half and that left a bitter taste in our mouths, an appetizer not even for one person and a beer that made you vomit, I think it's a bit too much to go back. I advise the restaurateur (pizza chef can no longer be called because it is vulgar and offensive) to emphasize his greatest asset, that is, the dough with simple pizzas that can enhance its quality. It is no coincidence, in fact, that the true Neapolitan always says the real pizza is the Margherita. Just as a true coffee connoisseur always says that coffee should be drunk bitter...

12/06/2025: A restaurant on the outskirts of Cefalù, in my opinion definitely worth a visit, if you are not a fan of restaurants in the center which are more attracted by the ambience and sea view. Visited twice during our stay so far. We still have three evenings until the end of our vacation....
