10/06/2026: A fantastic detour! From the outside, you might wonder if it's worth it, but inside, it's more than worth it. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the homemade dishes are generous and delicious. We don't regret the detour at all and recommend it to everyone.

14/05/2026: A wonderful stopover; it's a shame we only stayed one night. The setting is magnificent, the welcome very warm, and the room, with its unique view of the oil filtration tanks in the basement, was very comfortable. The evening meal was very generous and delicious. Breakfast was extremely varied and, again, very plentiful. A truly beautiful place that is absolutely worth discovering.

03/06/2026: A very good and intimate restaurant on a side street. They were the only ones who explained the different types of meats and cheeses. The only downside was the plastic cutlery and paper plates.

04/10/2025: Incredibly friendly and service-oriented staff, very keen to ensure we had a good experience. The food was very good, but on the more expensive side and (compared to other restaurants in the area) small portions. However, the taste was incredible, and outweighed the quantity of food.

01/06/2026: Tables under a splendid vaulted ceiling, amidst the village's alleys, with fairy lights and a wonderful, sophisticated selection of music. Everything is simple and homey, from the unique tableware to the chalkboard menu and the dishes prepared and presented with the love a grandmother would put into them. We ate wonderfully, and it was even better. It's definitely worth a stop here.

31/05/2026: We went to this restaurant yesterday to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. What can I say? It's a very elegant restaurant, with attentive and polite staff and delicious food. If you're near Lecce, I highly recommend it!

29/05/2026: We originally wanted to dine at the restaurant across the street, but unfortunately we were unable to get a reservation, so we decided to try this restaurant instead. We ordered a combination of the four-course tasting menu (€50 per person) and were extremely disappointed with both the food quality and the overall experience. Shortly after the meal, we became sick. As a professional chef from California, I was particularly concerned about the quality and freshness of the seafood. The tuna showed signs of discoloration that suggested it was no longer fresh, and the shrimp tasted as if it had expired. It felt as though ingredients left over from the previous day were being served to guests. When our pasta course arrived, we decided not to continue with the meal and informed the staff that we wished to leave. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, the owner approached us in an aggressive and unprofessional manner. Despite our dissatisfaction, I still paid half of the bill as a gesture of fairness. A restaurant’s response to customer concerns is just as important as the food itself. Instead of becoming confrontational, a simple apology and an effort to resolve the situation would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in Italy, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

24/12/2025: Loved the place. Sofia and Mary were awesome. Food was spectacular. Service beautiful. We had the special mussel soup, then the fettuccine with scampi tartare and lemon and finally the duck. Everything was so yummy. A must in LECCE!

04/06/2026: A nice outdoor terrace, which borders directly on the amphitheater of Lecce. Unfortunately, it was a bit windy, but we still had a good meal. The staff really should learn to speak English!!!

09/11/2025: I went there for lunch on the recommendation of friends "to eat well-cooked porcini mushrooms." I've never had such PERFECT porcini mushrooms. Everything was excellent. Both the food and the wine (recommended by the guy who looked after us throughout the meal). The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable, respectful of our lunch times, and never intrusive. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes I'd glimpsed from neighbors' plates (everything looked delicious). The location was also very beautiful: clean, bright, and overlooking the courtyard with olive trees and antique troughs housing beautiful and well-kept succulents. Everything was very peaceful. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

05/11/2025: We had lunch featuring fresh porcini mushrooms. The quality and freshness of the mushrooms were outstanding. From the "simple" porcini carpaccio to more elaborate dishes like porcini mushrooms covered in kataifi. The waiter was extremely attentive to our needs and precise in his suggestions. An excellent location for a tasty, high-quality meal.

31/05/2026: Vergari Ristoratori 1966 was a fantastic experience! The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The food was truly exceptional. We started with a mixed antipasto of raw and cooked dishes, both delicious and beautifully presented. I personally tried the "Bottone with red shrimp, cacio e pepe with raw shrimp" and I must say it was extraordinary! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food in a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
