02/10/2025: The owners are very friendly and ready to answer any questions. The rooms aren't that great but you can still sleep well.

06/09/2025: We stayed at this hotel for six nights. There are several points to mention in this review. First, the beds are appalling. In a double room, we found a metal bedstead with a wooden plank over it. The slightest movement made an insane noise, making it difficult to sleep at night. Furthermore, having installed two single mattresses, they shifted during the night, often resulting in a person being sandwiched between them. The hotel website states that "all" rooms have a balcony/terrace, but this is not the case. The hotel does not have an elevator, so elderly people or those with mobility issues had great difficulty climbing the stairs to their rooms. There's little choice for breakfast, as it's not a buffet. Otherwise, you'd find an empty croissant per person (I think they made it themselves), a small piece of cake or tart they made (I think), and some toast with packaged jams of your choice. Then you can choose a drink from the bar (coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc.). There's no choice for a savory or healthier breakfast. The portions at lunch and dinner are very generous, with many good dishes, but for those staying at the hotel for several days, things get boring because the dishes are always the same (green tagliolini with mushrooms, braised meat that was offered every day for both lunch and dinner, cooked vegetables always peas with carrots, green beans, and sometimes potatoes, and so on, but always the same dishes). If you asked for a simple salad because you no longer wanted the same dishes, it wasn't available. Basically, there was no option to have any fresh vegetables (side dishes) or to order fruit (there wasn't even watermelon, no fruit at all). Being a property that claims to be pet-friendly, I would have expected at least a small dog area (fenced off) where you could maybe stay when you're not out and about with your dog (there is enough space in front of the hotel to offer such an area). Some finishing touches are definitely missing (hair dryer, hangers in the bathroom, a shower gel holder inside the shower stall). Some rooms don't even have a closet and have a simple A metal structure covered with a DIY-style plastic sheet. They don't even have a small table or desk to place small appliances. The hotel offers a beautiful view, and there are lovely trails nearby for walking through the woods. Given our experience with the rooms, I honestly don't know if we'd return, as we didn't sleep well due to the uncomfortable bed. It's a shame, because they could offer an excellent choice given their convenient location.

03/11/2025: Yesterday I celebrated my daughter's birthday here, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The owner, his wife, and the waitresses were all so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Good food, nice, simple, and clean restaurant. There were 20 of us, and everyone was satisfied. I'll definitely be back. 👍

22/09/2025: A friend's recommendation has never been more spot-on!! Piadina with Bra sausage + squacquerone cheese and pistachio cream... delicious, perfectly cooked, and excellent quality ingredients. Don't be fooled by the price; it's very generous. Plus, the lady at the cash register is super friendly. Take advantage of the internal kiosks to order to avoid the line.

23/08/2025: A perfect dinner. Everything was truly delicious and high-quality, from appetizer to dessert. The hazelnut-crusted sirloin steak deserves special mention: it was exquisite and melted in the mouth. The selection of local cheeses was also very tasty. The service was relaxed and pleasant. The dining room has a stunning view, and if you go at sunset, it's even more worth it.

20/10/2025: An outstanding dinner and great service in a very well designed room, with plenty of space. Highly recommended. My fassona beef tartare with wasabi mayonnaise (not pictured) was phenomenal 👏

06/10/2025: Beautiful, tastefully and elegantly furnished restaurant in the center of Alba. The intimate and relaxing atmosphere is perfect for enjoying the excellent, unique menu, a true explosion of flavors. To top it all off, the service is top-notch!!! A must-try!

20/09/2025: A refuge? Oh, but so much more. Dahu and its caretaker, Beppe, allow you to feel, taste, and touch the fine Piedmontese culture like nowhere else. The food is exquisite, the Piedmontese wines are perfect. The Dahu's vast mountain culture always makes the stopover too brief. For the past seven or eight years, I've been stopping by the Dahu. 22/09/2025: It's an excellent restaurant that also offers a couple of guest rooms. Located in a historic building in the hamlet of Frassino, it serves primarily traditional dishes from the Varaita Valley, using local ingredients. The food is truly high-quality without being expensive. I would increase the portions of the first courses, but that's just my personal opinion. The comfort of the hotel section is affected by the structural constraints inherent in a historic building, which nevertheless retains its character. The breakfast is truly excellent, plentiful and made with quality ingredients.

14/09/2025: Excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere. I wasn't happy with the portions, which were far too small, especially the meat dishes, which should curb your cravings for something savory while you wait for dessert... luckily, the bonèt that ended the meal was simply spectacular! Service was a bit slow, so take your time.

27/07/2025: During our vacation, we had a fantastic meal here with our two daughters. Local cuisine with delicious dishes in generous portions. Every dish was delicious. The perfect and friendly service from the owner's daughter was especially special. She was incredibly customer-friendly and thoughtful, even when it came to preparing dishes for the children. Service as it should be, but even better because you can see and feel the passion for the restaurant and the food. Perfect!

Excellent and well-filled, with a wide selection to satisfy every need, from savory to sweet, with high-quality ingredients!
