11/04/2026: We visited this restaurant this week. We didn’t need to wait to be seated we sat inside which suited us as the evenings in April have been a little cold so far. All the staff were really friendly, attentive and welcoming! We ate two pasta dishes (I forget their names) but they were amazing! And only €13-14 each, Followed by a tiramisu which was equally amazing, we had 4 drinks between us and it came to €30 each which we thought was very good! 100% would return thank you so much ☺️

The service is impeccable: the staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always available. You can sense their dedication to the customer, who is welcomed and looked after with professionalism and kindness from start to finish. In short, a truly pleasant experience in every way: excellent cuisine, excellent service, and a warm welcome that makes all the difference. A place I'll definitely return to.

Rarely do you find such a perfect balance between the quality of the ingredients and the hospitality of the staff. The undisputed star is the fish, incredibly fresh and treated with sacred respect. Each dish reflects the traditions of the coast but with a touch of contemporary elegance that elevates the flavor without overpowering it. What makes Altavela truly special, however, is the atmosphere. The service is impeccable: fast, discreet, and extremely knowledgeable in recommending off-menu items and wine pairings. But it's the extreme kindness of the entire staff that makes the difference; they make you feel like a guest of honor from the moment you arrive, right up until your coffee, with a warmth and spontaneity that are rare these days. Highly recommended for both a romantic dinner and a special family lunch. I'll definitely be back!

The menu offers traditional and modern dishes, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The prices, in my opinion, are a bit high, even considering the quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

09/03/2026: Was staying at an AirBnB near Schietto and saw so many positive reviews decided to go with my wife. Greeted by the owner at the door, his wife is the chef…he said he married her after having her chocolate cake when they were teenagers! We had the pasta amatriciana, deep fried artichoke and seared cod with a nice bottle of wine…everything was an absolute 11/10. Don’t see how you can miss with this place…authentic, delicious, great vibe and very reasonable

29/03/2026: We'd heard good things about it, but I expect much more from a restaurant of this kind. We booked a table at 9:00, but they seated us at 9:30. We sat down, freezing, and not even a polite apology for the wait. They brought us the menu, but everything on the menu was missing, so we asked them to order first and tell us what was left and what wasn't. We ordered, still hopeful, and after 10 minutes, the waiter showed up to tell me that my bruschetta with burrata and anchovies wouldn't have burrata because that was also sold out, so they were bringing it to me without it, but it would be complimentary and therefore not included in the bill. Finally, the appetizers arrived, and we realized that the scampi were brought by the number and not by the portion, something no one ever specified. The fish was definitely fresh, and we couldn't comment on that, but they brought us a bowl to hold the clam shells, obviously broken, with complete disinterest from the staff. I pointed this out and were completely ignored. The same thing happened when we asked for the bill, which we asked for about 20 times from all the wait staff, who rushed from table to table, telling us it'll be right there, but in reality, they completely ignored us. It was too crowded, tables pushed together to squeeze as many people as possible, and there was no privacy. Result: the bruschetta without burrata was never deducted from the bill we received 40 minutes after we asked for it, as we were told they would be. Terrible service, terrible welcome, too much confusion, too many tables to attend to, with zero organization. The food was good, but unfortunately not enough. I'm attaching the receipt.

16/01/2026: Great pastries and service. Unfortunately, I forget her name, but the manager was extremely kind, and I'm extremely grateful for her help. There aren't many places like this in Rome, and it was truly a pleasure to find it.

12/03/2026: At Chen, you can immediately sense the passion: everything that comes out of the kitchen is prepared with care, technique, and a sensitivity that is evident at first bite. The duck fettuccine is simply extraordinary: flavorful, balanced, and cooked to perfection. And then the ravioli... without exaggeration, among the best I've ever eaten in Rome.
