There are places you find almost by chance—hidden among the buildings of a neighborhood that doesn't make the headlines—that stay with you like a song you heard as a child. This osteria is one of those places.
Inherited by two brothers with the same tenacity that inherits a family history, it hasn't lost anything that made it special: the slightly uncomfortable wicker chairs, the faded photographs on the walls, the checked tablecloths, and that warm light that seems to filter through from another decade. Here, time has had the good sense to stand still.
The menu is short. Nothing more is needed. Each course reflects a precise choice, executed with care and without frills. You don't come here to be amazed, you come to eat well. There's a huge difference between the two, and rarely do you find someone who understands it so deeply.
The service is that of someone who knows their tables individually. You can tell the brothers put something personal into every dish that leaves the kitchen, every glass they fill. It's not detached professionalism: it's passion, the most authentic form of hospitality.
In a gastronomic landscape increasingly skewing toward noise, concepts, and showmanship, this small osteria has the quiet courage to simply be itself. And that, today, is worth more than any star.

We found it by chance, simply because it's so close to the theater. You enter down two steps and find yourself transported back to the 1980s. A room seating about 20 people, typical Roman cuisine, a few dishes but very well-prepared, and the owner is a guy with old-fashioned manners. In short, a wonderful surprise... just one word: book well in advance.

I stumbled upon this osteria by chance for lunch, and it was truly a wonderful discovery. I was alone, but I immediately felt at ease thanks to the simple, welcoming atmosphere.
The owner was incredibly friendly, which is not a given these days: kind, approachable, and always smiling.
The food is excellent, simple yet tasty. The portions are generous and the prices are super fair, which is always a pleasure.
A genuine place, unpretentious but with plenty of substance. I'll gladly return!

Everything was perfect. An authentic little gem. Family-run. Valerio waits tables and his brother works in the kitchen. Valerio is very kind and genuine.

€12 menu with bruschetta, first or second course, water, and dessert. The best value in Rome.

Incredibly good and affordable. The food is good, good Roman cuisine, at an outdated price. Highly recommended.

The value for money here is unbeatable! The restaurant has a cozy and rustic atmosphere. At lunchtime, you get three courses (bruschetta, main course, and tiramisu) plus coffee for €12!!! Amazing. The food is also very tasty – highly recommended!
