29/08/2024: It's a great restaurant that's very close to the airport. I had a quick overnight at FCO and found this place to try. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. The complimentary starter and limoncello were also a nice touch. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

01/08/2024: This is my first review of any restaurant. That’s how incredibly good this place is. You know when you find a place that makes you want to return to a city? Well this was that place for us. II Tarallo has the best food we ate during our visit in Rome, forget the over hyped places with the lines, this is the hidden gem. However, what really made me fall in love with this place was the ambience and the owners. A husband and wife duo who are funny and charming. They made an incredible dinner even better with their sense of humor and kindness. They even had mosquito spray for me when I asked. The owners really think of every little detail and it shows. The only sad thing is that we found this place on our last night. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome! Beautiful, beautiful place!

16/08/2024: First time in this small trattoria where excellent typical dishes of Roman cuisine are offered. The family management makes you feel at home. I recommend booking.

17/08/2024: A lovely evening with a good meal. We waited a bit to get a table because we booked at the last minute but the wait was done with a glass of prosseco offered by the owner, which was very appreciated. The decor is beautiful, the welcome and the service perfect. We ordered a mixed board for the aperitif, it was so loaded that it could fit at least 4 people. Followed by carbo pasta which was certainly the best we ate. Very good address.

27/08/2024: Very fast, very polite staff. Alberto in particular was extremely forthcoming and welcoming. We had the cacio e Pepe which was delicious albeit very cheesy but that's hardly the restaurant's fault.

04/09/2024: Really positive experience! The staff is helpful and kind, making the atmosphere of the restaurant very welcoming. The pasta is fabulous, but the real star is the cream of the cacio e pepe: absolutely delicious! The only downside is that reaching the restaurant by public transport is not very easy (it took me 40 minutes), but it was absolutely worth it. I hope to have the opportunity to return soon!

04/09/2024: I found this restaurant by chance, searching on Google for some nice places to eat in the area, and I decided to try it given the amount of positive reviews. After my experience, I can say that it is a really nice place in the heart of Re di Roma. It has seats both outside and inside, so even in the heat you can eat al fresco! The menu is very varied. Numerous dishes of typical Roman cuisine are offered and there are also veg options. The food is of quality and there is an excellent quality - price ratio. The tiramisu is amazing! Fabio, who followed us throughout lunch, was really very kind and helpful. I will absolutely go back!

02/08/2024: Beautiful underground restaurant with exceptionally friendly and professional service. We walked in and they were accommodating from the start. They were more than happy to explain the menu and even showed the actual steak cuts just for suggestion. Food was delicious and atmosphere was perfect. Thank you to the two gentlemen who made our night.

22/08/2024: Premetto che il voto basso che sto dando oggi non è legato né alla qualità del cibo, né al locale e ancor meno alla cortesia e professionalità dei camerieri ma solo per il fatto che mi sono ritenuto preso in giro. La bacheca presentava il piatto dello chef, esattamente in questo modo : "trofie con pesto di basilico, pomodorini e stracciatella", peccato però che mi è stato servito un piatto, ripeto buonissimo, di trofie al pomodoro con basilico. Il basilico era di fatto un odore aggiunto al sugo di pomodorini, tanto che si sentiva appena il gusto, questo sia per me che per mia moglie, ma la cosa meno gradita è stata l'insistenza del direttore (strano perché è sempre gentile e cortese, anche oggi, in verità ) nel dire che il pesto di basilico c'era e che forse era coperto dal pomodoro. A parte il fatto che non è mai carino contraddire con insistenza un cliente che , ancor più davanti l'evidenza, vedete le foto e giudicate voi, quando bastava dire ok, ce n'è poco (molto poco), e non dire nel menù non posso mettere tutto. Per me trofie con pesto di basilico lasciano poco spazio all'immaginazione, semmai avrei scritto, secondo il suo pensiero, pesto di basilico E pomodorini. Forse era più chiaro all'ospite. Detto ciò confermo che è un posto dove si mangia benissimo e ci tornerò, anche perché lavoro li vicino, ma non è giusto dire le cose che non corrispondono alla realtà.

18/07/2024: This was the cafe in my ten day trip where I immediately felt welcome and like family. The atmosphere is vibrant and joyful. The customers were a mix of locals and tourists. My cappuccino was great! The owner was very kind. This was the perfect way to enjoy breakfast in Rome.

02/09/2024: Ero già stata in questo ristorante nel 2020 per un compleanno ed ero rimasta molto soddisfatta del locale e del cibo. Sono tornata recentemente con mio marito e sono rimasta ancora più contenta: il locale è splendido e completamente immerso nel verde, una fuga ideale dal caldo estivo della città; il servizio è impeccabile: gentile, curato e discreto; il cibo è eccellente in ogni piatto che viene servito e cucinato con grande capacità e cura. È il posto perfetto per una cena speciale oppure per tornare in un posto in cui la buona cucina e la gentilezza sono sempre al primo posto!

30/07/2024: It's the third time I've tried to review this place, but obviously something isn't right with Google...excellent restaurant, everything very good, good prices, friendly, fast and kind waiters, impeccable service!! Simple, rustic, clean restaurant; despite the heat, it was pleasantly ventilated inside. Clean and tidy toilets. To return Ps: I couldn't publish the photos I don't know why

27/07/2024: Very good food!! Pasta all homemade. Tasty and good vegetables. Friendly staff If you stay inside there may be a bit of noise but it is normal given that it is small (in fact I recommend you book well in advance). Advised!! To return and return

24/07/2024: Stumbled across this as staying in CitizenM around the corner and a big fan of going out for breakfast. Great value low key spot for pastries and pastrami sandwiches / focaccias - well worth trying g as awesome!

11/07/2024: Went for a cappuccino in the morning and tried one of the small sandwiches which were both soooooo good that we decided to come and get a sandwich for lunch and it definitely didn't disappoint. 5 stars
