Il Falchetto has only been around since 1916. In Roman ageing it is a relatively new restaurant. Our waiter has spent a miserly 29 years keeping patrons happy! Somehow, given the short lifespan of Il Falchetto, it has found its rhythm - relaxed and reliable. The classic puntarelle antipasto was crisp and well dressed with a subtle anchovy and garlic combination. The curled chicory leaves soaked in the anchovy and garlic emulsion made for a great digestive starter. We followed this with lamb chops served with cicoria ripassata which is always a good pairing. Well worth a visit.

You must try this. Amazing food and amazing staff. Try the trufle pasta and the stake with mushroom. You will not regret.

We stumbled upon it by chance and ordered a delicious amatriciana and carbonara. The staff were friendly. The only downside is that the prices are really high.

Titled: Limoncello after diner is now being charged vs a ristorante thank you for dining with us free shot. We have lived in Firenze since 2021 and every visit to meet guests coming to Italy we go here. This visit on April 14, 2026 our children flew into Rome and we took them here. Every time we have dined here the end of the meal thank you from the ristorante staff of limoncello shot was free. BTW every ristorante typically does this free thank you. I guess 250 Euro dinner wasn't enough. Last time we dine or refer anyone here again.

This is a Roman restaurant I’ve been reading about. Expert waiters who time out all courses perfectly and share advice on what to order. The wine and food were first rate. Make reservations, go hungry and enjoy a delicious meal.

what a great place..we had Melanzane(wonderful), the signature pesto past dish(yummy), and the Sea Bream(with potato crust, olive oil and salt, wow). totally cost including a couple of glasses of wine was 100 euro..cheap as chips in my view. service was great though hard to say as we were the only ones eating at 5pm…I did leave the waiter 10 euro at the end as he was just so good…..

13/07/2026: Great find. Even in the tourist centre of Rome it is possible to find little gems like this place. The book shop itself is wonderful and then there is a great selection of beers and wines. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about both the bookers and beers available. Lovely place.l and well worth a visit
