08/08/2024: After reading the reviews about this place on TripAdvisor, I decided to pay a visit. I was in Rome for work, so I was on my own. As I'd expected from the reviews, there was a queue of people outside waiting to be seated when I arrived around 8pm. I probably only had to wait around 45 minutes before the owner found me a table. It was definitely worth the wait! It was without doubt the best food I have eaten in Rome, good quality home cooked style food. The meatballs were amazing, I'd definitely recommend you try them! The house red was good too. All in all, it is a great dining experience at a very reasonable price.

07/08/2024: An excellent find. We were originally intending on going to the pasta restaurant opposite, but FORTUNATELY that was closed and thus we lunched here instead. It’s a very small restaurant so you may need to wait. We arrived at 1145 and there was already a queue. We ordered a caprese salad, a saltimbocca and a spaghetti pomodoro. All the dishes were fantastic- the pasta was well cooked and the veal was seasoned just right - this is a dish where in most places they over season. For dessert we had their pistachio and frangipani tart with ice cream. It was a brilliant end to the meal. This place is great!

06/07/2024: I had dinner at this restaurant with my wife. The place is quite small, I'd say about fifteen seats, located on one side of the Torraccia square. Even if the location is nothing special, it is still welcoming. Once you enter, the magic happens: you are welcomed by the owner and chef Andrea and all his expertise, passion and friendliness. My advice is to forget about the menu and get advice from him, you certainly won't regret it. We did this and everything was perfect, from the wine (which if I remember correctly was called "Micagnente" or something similar), to the starters and so on up to the dessert and digestives. A mix of revisited tradition and innovation, all supported by quality products, study and good taste. It was all very good, if I really had to make a choice I would say the best were the crunchy vegetable meatballs and the onion tartare (not having seen the menu I'm making up the names 😅), but all the starters were special (the cheese moussines also deserve a mention). stuffed ricotta and venison ham), the gricia with asparagus was also very good, less memorable were the gorgonzola, rocket and honey strips (or jam of something, I don't remember). A note also about the table service offered by a very young boy (whose name unfortunately I don't remember) with the same passion and friendliness as chef Andrea. Don't expect formality or impeccable professionalism, but you will certainly feel at home. It's like having a chef brother and going to dinner at his house... We will definitely be back to try the other specialties!

01/07/2024: Sara perché era una domenica assolata di fine giugno, per cui a pranzo eravamo solo io e mio padre, siamo stati accolti benissimo e coccolati. Abbiamo preso i piatti consigliati dallo staff e tutti erano buonissimi e cucinati/preparati al monento. I piatti della tradizione romana sono reinterpretati con inventiva e le combinazioni insolite (cacio e pepe con lime e mentuccia) una picevole sorpresa. Piavevole anche la chiaccherta con Andrea, il gestore del piccolo ma accogliente locale. Consigliato

23/08/2024: Locale molto curato, arredamento tra rustico e moderno davvero bello. Lo staff sempre attento, ma mai invadente. Si viene accompagnati e consigliati, se si desidera, nella scelta della carne. Il cameriere sempre gentile e molto preparato. Abbiamo pagato circa 45€ a testa. La carne si scioglie in bocca, lo consiglio vivamente!

27/08/2024: Very pleasant evening, excellent food, small but hospitable environment, I gave up after appetizers and first courses, I will be back soon for the second courses, unfortunately a complete meal is not possible😃, arrosticini, steak and scamorza I will try next time, Rosi the owner sits down at the table and takes command, the girl and the boy who served us at the table were very nice and kind, I will be back very soon for another evening with my children

30/07/2024: Both takeaway and the renowned place is always a certainty. The excellent sandwiches arrive at home packaged with care, the same that is found in the spartan but always friendly and attentive service. The owner, as a perfect one manshow, juggles with skill and friendliness between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring delicious sandwiches and a convivial atmosphere, between one playlist and another.

22/08/2024: Situated in the Monti Simbruini , in San Vito Romano , Ristorante La Tombola is a hidden treasure just outside of Rome run by a local family offering the best local produce in enchanting settings inside and out. Happily accommodating on our visit a family of 15 with 7 children under the age of 5! Knowledgeable obliging staff and their mutli lingual QR menu guide you through an exceptional regional menu in an area where English is barely spoken making a warm welcome to an unjustly neglected area of Lazio.

18/08/2024: Pranzato oggi per il mio compleanno, prenotazione tramite the fork. Il proprietario molto simpatico e alla mano. E che dire i piatti buonissimi..prodotti freschi. Una bella scoperta in una bella Giornata. Prezzi nella norma.. un piccolo risparmio tramite l app. Ci hanno regalato anche del pane prodotto da loro che mia figlia ha apprezzato molto 😂 Consigliato!!!

03/08/2024: Unexpectedly amazing. Saw all the strong reviews and it was completely deserved. Wine was really nice and smooth. I had the beef Tataki and it was so juicy and flavorful and the vegetables fried to a perfect crunch! We also had Parmeggiana Melanzane and it was fabulous. Ambience was lovely with perfect volume of music and they had the cutest golden retriever dog that was so sweet and calm and made me melt inside and want to cry almost😭 Would definitely recommend as a great experience for every person that comes to Rome. Super vibe!

26/08/2024: The restaurant was my best choice for breakfast. The food is delicious. The staff is smiling, hospitable, and friendly. The waitress made a mistake in bringing a meal of juice and a croissant that was not for us, so the owner of the restaurant stated that it is for you for free. Thank you for these wonderful services.

31/07/2024: We had to ask some teens hanging out munching on sandwiches (panini) where they got them. They pointed to Mordi’s, across the street. Don’t be put off by the size, it’s probably only 10 feet across & super small. However, the sandwiches are very, very good. I got a Caprese and my grandson got a Buratta, both were super tasty! And very reasonable, ranging from 6-10 euros. The ladies working there are great, and be patient with them as they have to “toast” the panini, as part of the process. You won’t be disappointed!

30/07/2024: Con tutto il rispetto per i ristoranti stellati romani, questo è quello che più ci ha stupito con i suoi accostamenti azzardati ma incredibilmente armoniosi. Capace di stupire anche con piatti dall'apparente semplicità disarmante ma con un gusto esplosivo ed elegante.
