01/04/2025: We were there this evening and, for us, it was definitely the best restaurant we ate at in these days in Rome. We had two artichokes alla giudia on a pecorino fondue: tender, tasty, large; then a fillet with porcini mushrooms and a shank with puree, the meat very soft and, although very tasty, unfortunately, too much. I don't remember other times when I left delicious food on my plate but tonight I couldn't finish it. Along with a bottle of mineral water and a beer, I also asked for an amaro and the whole thing brought the bill to 62 euros. We have already thanked the waiting staff and the cook but I thank everyone again and wish them much success. You haven't made it yet, we'll see each other again tonight.

30/03/2025: È il nostro ristorante del cuore.La " colpa "è che è vicino casa e possiamo andarci a piedi.Mai delusi anzi direi che la loro cucina sta raggiungendo livelli altissimi.Abbiamo mangiato una carbonara da urlo,fatta a mestiere,preceduta da 2 antipasti particolari e ottimi: una millefoglie di pane carasau e un bao con pollo sfilanciato.Chiuso la cena con un chease cake al caramello salato.Tutto innaffiato da un Negramaro.Conto giustissimo.Poi due chiacchiere con i proprietari (che ci hanno anche offero una grappa spaziale alla camomolla )e con il ragazzo che ci ha servito e poi a casa.Che dire? Sembrava di essere a casa di amici.Brqvi tutti!

18/02/2025: Se cercate un’esperienza autentica di cucina lucana a Roma, Il Gabbiano al Pigneto è il posto giusto! Il menù offre specialità come peperoni cruschi, caciocavallo impiccato e pesce fresco, il tutto preparato con ingredienti di qualità. L’atmosfera è accogliente e il personale gentile, rendendo ogni cena un vero piacere. Ottima anche la selezione di vini lucani. Perfetto per una serata intima o con amici. Consigliatissimo!

08/04/2025: Truly a special restaurant. The courtyard is stunning. The food is excellent. The staff are so polite and accommodating. The heaters were put on to make it warm and comfortable so we could utilise the courtyard into the early evening. Reasonably priced for Rome a hidden gem so enjoy your experience when visiting Rome.

20/03/2025: E’ la seconda volta che veniamo e abbiamo mangiato come sempre benissimo. Conto ottimo per la qualità del cibo e servizio. Unica piccola osservazione è che mi sarebbe piaciuto che arrivassero insieme le portate tra pasta e pizza. E’ comunque stata una piacevole serata. Complimenti.

26/03/2025: We pre-booked our table the previous evening and on arrival, we were greeted by our evening's host, Salvador, who showed us to the best table outside. Whilst looking through the menu, he bought us a complimentary drink, answered any questions about the menu and showed us the freshly caught fish of the day. On Salvador's recommendation, we went for the scallops and the salt baked sea Bream, as well as other dishes, all of which were amazing. The service was outstanding and attentive from start to finish. The owner, who happened to be dining near to us at the same time, sent over complimentary roses to each of the ladies in our party, which was a lovely touch. After our 3 course meal, a complimentary Limoncello cocktail was given to us, on the house! All in all, it turned out to be a wonderful evening and one that we'll never forget, due to the amazing food and brilliant service- hence 5 Stars!

19/03/2025: Muy cerca de la fuente de Trevi y nuestro hotel, que era ideal después de un montón de caminatas. Los camareros groseros, la actitud cambió ya que no queríamos entrantes (no tenía muy buena elección) , vuelcó con lluvia e hizo que las 3 mesas al aire libre se sintieran incómodas por entrar, pidió factura dos veces nunca llegó ya que se necesitaron 4 camareros para servir otra mesa. La comida era agradable, pero parece que la mayoría de los comentarios (1 contribución) son falsos
