15/01/2026: I don't understand the positive reviews. The pasta carbonara was made with a sort of mixed mixture of flour and water. The result was a completely dry dish, the pasta all stuck together, and the bacon was burnt and barely visible. The scampi cream risotto was watery. In a place where the food is mostly pasta, no way, sorry.

The only thing I found below expectations was the wine selection, which I didn't feel offered adequate value for money.

09/03/2026: I chose this restaurant after reading the positive reviews, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The place is quite dated, but this wouldn't be a flaw if it were kept clean and well-maintained. The place in general is very neglected in terms of cleanliness. I won't go into detail, but I'll mention the bottles where we received water from their purifier: they were dirty and greasy, so they were simply refilled without ever being washed. The bathroom is beyond reproach; I took some photos, but I'll avoid posting them here because I'm ashamed of the condition. Let's move on to the food: the first courses we ordered were good, but the portions were extremely small, but this is now a common problem in almost all restaurants that have converted to gourmet dining. The arrosticini were of good quality, but not cooked properly, as some parts were blackened from burning. The young man who served us was very kind and courteous. The wait wasn't excessive, but only because there were only two tables to serve, as the chef who prepared the food was also responsible for washing the dishes. For parking, I recommend the supermarket's underground parking lot, located on the lower level, but unfortunately it doesn't have an agreement with the restaurant, so considering that parking is impossible on Via Flaminia, you'll have to pay €3.50 per hour. The price was in line with other restaurants, but it's certainly not as cheap as some reviews suggest.

12/02/2026: We came for dinner with my girlfriend. The food was delicious. I recommend the cacio e pepe pasta. The arrosticini and bruschetta were also excellent. Very nice place. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a try.

14/03/2026: Truly a hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in a quiet little hilltop town of Monticelio! Would highly recommend trying the food here; very tasty Italian for an authentic experience. Each of the dishes is an unique preparation compared to what I had tasted in the past, and all of it was splendid. Very good service and speaking no Italian myself, the staff were very helpful in providing the required suggestions.

21/03/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner by the waitress who explained the various dishes to us. We had an exceptional appetizer for two with a wonderful onion jam, followed by a plate of ravioli with homemade ragù and Ligurian-style rabbit. We also tried their lemon and orange liqueur with amazing chili pepper. Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: This was recommended by our hotel in the Monti neighborhood as a place serving traditional dishes that locals also frequent. It was popular with locals for drinks earlier in the evening when we were there for dinner (at 7 pm) and then popular for dinner as we were finishing up at 8:30. A nice lively crowd, but not too boisterous, hence the 5 for atmosphere. The food was more of a mama's kitchen preparation...fine but not refined and not especially well prepared or especially tasty. The service was good considering they were quite busy with indoor and outdoor tables and had one server and one bartender.
