05/10/2025: We stopped by Er Polpetta for a casual bite and tried the fried cod, French fries with Aperol Spritz, and the Amatriciana meatballs. The overall vibe is typical of restaurants around the main tourist areas — relaxed, easy to walk into. Service was a strong point: the staff were attentive and spoke perfect English, making the experience smooth. That said, the appetizers were underwhelming. The fried cod was a bit tough, the batter thick and not fully cooked through — it felt heavy rather than crisp. The Amatriciana meatballs were much better — flavorful, nicely portioned, though on the salty side. A decent stop if you’re nearby and want quick, friendly service, but the food was hit or miss for us

05/10/2025: Excellent food, a truly quaint osteria, small but welcoming. Friendly staff. It's definitely not a tourist trap like the others in this area.

07/09/2025: A superb gastronomic experience! We were a group of six and had a small, secluded room, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cuisine is truly exquisite, with no faults in the seven courses of the menu we opted for, nor in the generous wine pairing (1 sparkling wine, 2 whites, 1 red, 1 sweet red). The service was attentive without being overbearing, which really helped make the experience unique. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a gourmet meal in Rome.

05/09/2025: In short, the food was fine, but the service was subpar. (Please excuse my slightly broken Korean for the sake of translation.) Even though we were the first to arrive, we were shown to a room by the stairs. The back of that room was like a warehouse, a noisy area with staff constantly coming and going. Everyone else who was later shown to the main hall was seated, and we were the only ones in that room. Maybe it was because we were the only Asians? I felt a bit racist, lol. The staff were generally friendly, but some were a bit arrogant. The most unpleasant part was that when I was eating oysters, shells came out. When I told them about it, the staff said it was normal. I thought I'd complain if I found shells in oyster soup at the market, but they responded with, "Of course shells would come out. Do you want to wash your hands?" I was really taken aback;;; This was the third oyster dish of the seven-course meal, and I couldn't control my expression after that. The quail dish, which was the main course, was really delicious, but the rest was just okay. Anyway, we were seated in a small room by ourselves, so it was uncomfortable to sit in front of the warehouse. I was disappointed with the staff's response to my complaint. I'll never go back. 07/09/2025: I was here for lunch. The appetizers were very good (parmigiana, polenta with cream cheese, and baked ricotta with meat sauce) and the homemade first courses. The portions were generous. The staff was very friendly, and you could eat at your leisure, as they weren't rushed to clear the table. The setting is stunning.

01/10/2025: A very nice restaurant, super clean, the owner is very kind and friendly, and the food is superb, from the traditional carbonara to spaghetti with clams, all well-seasoned and flavorful. 26/08/2025: Chalet del Pincio is a traditional spot in Civitavecchia. We enjoyed a senza glutine cornetto and an excellent coffee. It was quite busy, but service was fast and, despite the language barrier (my Italian is very basic), communication went smoothly. Having gluten-free options is a big plus. Ideal for a simple breakfast or some tasty pastries.

04/08/2025: This wine bar is something special. Time stands still here, and you'll lose yourself in it :) It's not for a quick visit, as the selection is very extensive and the wines are very good. The food is also excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. Overall, the bar is always worth a visit.

20/09/2025: Walked in, alone, just after opening. Despite arriving without a reservation, was greeted warmly and was sat with a fantastic view of Lake bracciano. The staff were superbly accomodating of my very poor italian, and allowed me to ask them multiple questions between options on their menu. They recommended the linguine with the fish of the day, and provided a wine recommendation that worked wonderfully together. For dessert, I was recommended their fruit tart with white chocalate ganache. By far one of the best desserts I've had during my time in italy. As mentioned above, their service was superb. Behind me was seated a group of somewhat loud individuals, and while I didn't mind them at all, the way they were treating the staff seemed extremely rude. Despite this, the staff never showed any signs of being unsettled or annoyed. I rarely say this for any restaurant outside of my town of residence, but I would easily take a trip to the town of Anguillara for the sole purpose of dining at Chalet Del Lago again.

30/08/2025: This was probably the best restaurant I ate at in Rome. The olive oil they left on the table was so delicious that I wanted to bring some back to Japan, so I asked where they sold it, but they said it's not sold commercially, so I gave up on the idea of ​​buying it (I think that's what they said). I had vongole. It was the most delicious vongole I've ever had!!! Maybe the spaghetti absorbs the sauce well, because the noodles were really tasty! My son had osso buco, and my husband had spaghetti with tomato sauce. Everything was delicious!
