We had lunch for three, ordering carbonara for two (amazing), porchetta as an appetizer with focaccia (but it was a Ciccio)—being from Puglia, the focaccia is something else entirely, but the Ciccio was truly delicious—and then meatballs in tomato sauce, all truly excellent!
Highly recommended!

The place is truly exquisitely decorated, giving it a homey feel with its fairy lights and striped tablecloth. It really has that Italian holiday vibe. However, I have to say I wasn't impressed with the food, perhaps due to my choices: I ordered the lamb, which had very little meat, and the oxtail stew had bone fragments scattered here and there that threatened to knock out your tooth like landmines. A bonus for the super-friendly staff. The price was reasonable, with a very slight hint of salt.

The service was great!! The staff was fun, full of suggestions and helpful. We had four different staff members at our table at different times during our meal. The food was delicious. We ordered the bucatini amatriciana, pizza, and carciofo romana. All the food came out hot and had fresh ingredients. We had a liter of mineral water. We also had the red and white house wines. Both were good. My wife’s Aperol spritz was perfect as was my Jefferson digestivo, which was suggested by Adrian. It was our first night in Rome after a 14 hour flight so we ate early and were able to walk in to get an outside table. We were told it would be busy later in the evening. Great place to start our vacation.

Great pasta! The server was funny and honest and told us what not to get LOL! We appreciated that and he steered us in the right direction. The bruschetta was super fresh and delicious!

It's a lovely, charming trattoria. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The waiters were delightful. It has an outdoor terrace with the typical Roman restaurant lights, and you can also eat inside.
