I've been to Uve e Forme and I must say it was a truly successful experience.
We started with burrata-filled ravioli with raw shrimp and confit tomatoes: a very balanced dish, where the creaminess of the burrata pairs perfectly with the freshness of the shrimp, while the confit tomatoes add a sweet, intense note that elegantly ties everything together.
The potato gnocchi with sea bass and mint were also very successful, where the delicate flavor of the fish is enhanced by a subtle aromatic note. A clean, well-constructed dish with a pleasant overall lightness.
The wine selection is also excellent—you can sense a thoughtful, thoughtful selection, with staff knowledgeable in recommending pairings that complement the dishes.
The restaurant is welcoming, with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere and a clear identity that revolves around the quality of the ingredients and wine culture.
Overall, a place that manages to combine contemporary cuisine with the soul of a sophisticated wine bar.
I will definitely return.

Uve e Forme is an institution in the Piazza Bologna area. A quiet and welcoming place, thanks above all to the courtesy and expertise of Matteo and Daniele. The culinary offerings range from traditional Roman dishes to more Mediterranean and seafood options, with an eye also on meats and vegetarian or vegan options. Great care and attention are always paid to the selection of ingredients and seasonality. In the kitchen, Barbara and Lorenzo are a proven guarantee of satisfaction.
As a historic wine bar, there's no shortage of a carefully curated and well-researched selection of wines, without ever being pretentious, yet capable of satisfying both the palate of a connoisseur and a novice wine enthusiast.

At Matteo and Daniele, you can't go wrong (not even with the cheeses)! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're looking for the classic "good food" spot but are tired of the same old fourchettes, forget the apps and head to Uve e Forme.
The ingredients are exquisite. You can taste that every slice of cured meat, every cube of cheese (amazing, really), and every hot dish has a story and a serious provenance. I ordered a platter thinking "it'll be the same old"—but instead it was a symphony. And the pasta? Please, let's not hurt ourselves: the carbomara is made as God commands, seasoned just right, and the ingredients taste of true local produce.
The wine cellar is a gem. Selective without being snobbish: wines outside the usual commercial circuits, with labels that make you fall in love at first sip. The owner (or chef?) has a refined palate. And here we come to the point that makes all the difference: Matteo and Daniele.
Guys, what professionalism! Polite, never intrusive, ready to explain every dish with true passion. They smile, make you feel at home but with fine dining service. They have the superpower of recommending the perfect wine without making you feel ignorant. And what if you order the wrong wine? No problem, they'll fix it with courtesy.
Now, the real deal: value for money. These days, leaving a gourmet restaurant for less than €40 a head (and eating and drinking well) is a dream. Well, at Uve e Forme, it's possible. You spend the right amount, sometimes less than the right amount, for what they serve. You'll leave satisfied, full, and eager to book next Friday.
In short: a warm place, excellent cuisine, a mouth-watering wine cellar, and world-class staff who pamper you. Highly recommended for a dinner with friends, an important date, or even just to cure the Monday blues.
