29/06/2025: Welcoming place, helpful and kind staff unfortunately not satisfied with the ham, as they served me, after having asked for a sweet ham, a 34 month old product obviously cut very thin and at the beginning, justifying the fact that each ham has a different taste based on the cut, I know this too, but the manager should have informed me that the cut was at the beginning and, certainly I would not have ordered it, as it was too seasoned therefore not sweet and then slices of ten cm. x four obviously cut very thin and salty ... I cannot write a positive review, also because when I kindly pointed it out, I was answered: ehhh well, as if to say someone has to touch it ... wrong person .... Mr. Ugolotti with a shop of certainly excellent products you cannot make such a fool of yourself ...

20/06/2025: We visited this fantastic place as part of a tour of the Parma region for a food experience. A family business that serves wonderful food and wine ins quiet atmosphere. We really enjoyed the experience.

10/07/2025: Highly recommended. Don't miss it! We took advantage of a stop on our way up from Parma and stopped for dinner. We couldn't have made a better choice for food and hospitality. The dishes are very carefully crafted, and the Japanese influence is evident, enhancing the flavors of the excellent Italian ingredients. Special mention goes to the pork among the main courses, and the desserts are worth the entire dinner. The only improvement is the bathrooms, just to bring them in line with the rest of the place.

09/07/2025: During a long trip, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant, having first consulted the reviews on Google Maps. Given the high rating, I was reluctant to choose it, but I must say that the experience far exceeded my expectations. The Bib Gourmand recognition, awarded by the Michelin Guide for several consecutive years and visible from the characteristic red plaques displayed outside the restaurant, is absolutely deserved. The location presents itself as a unique and sophisticated atmosphere, recalling the traditions of ancient taverns, revisited with an elegant reinterpretation that makes the dining experience particularly pleasant. As for the gastronomic offerings, it was a decidedly out-of-the-ordinary experience. I started with an eggplant tart—a classic often revisited in various restaurants, even high-end ones—but here it turned out to be the best I've ever tasted. The real highlight, however, was the homemade egg tagliolini with black truffle: an exceptional dish! Despite having ordered this specialty at numerous restaurants, I have never before encountered such extraordinary preparation. A dish that, in my opinion, deserves six stars, even though the highest award is five. The service stands out for its care and attention: professional, friendly, and helpful, contributing to a truly pleasant atmosphere. Considering the nature of the restaurant and the tranquil atmosphere, I would advise against having small children playing and running around the tables, as they can be disruptive and thus compromise the experience of all guests. I highly recommend this restaurant for couples, small groups seeking a quiet and refined atmosphere, or traveling professionals seeking a relaxing moment and good food.

04/08/2025: Crostini with Fassona beef tartare, buffalo mozzarella, and anchovies—a delicacy beyond description; you have to experience the pleasure of tasting it! Lamb ribs, perfectly flavored and melting in your mouth, Marcello vintage that pairs perfectly with the meat, creating a balance of flavors, and last but not least, a sublime chocolate cake (the cake has a bold dark chocolate flavor accompanied by fluffy flakes of whipped cream and fresh, sweet strawberry flakes). TOP!

05/07/2025: We had a wonderful experience: Gnocchi with snails Spaghetti w oysters and coconut excellent combination! Eggplant Trout, which as usual I found too salty but my husband didn’t. A very pleasant orange wine - not too funky. Can’t think of any negatives I would definitely recommend and certainly go back to.

27/06/2025: The same advice from the jovial lawyer from Parma that had made me discover La Valle, this time led me to the Cortex Bistrot. From the green hills above Fidenza to the narrow streets of the center of Parma, warmed by the rays of the sun of the first, real, days of summer. Inside, however, it is nice, an informal environment between shelves of books and bottles that celebrate past uncorkings, the girls who welcomed us and took care of us always patient and courteous, even though we were a large company and perhaps with a few too many requests. I really liked the cuisine of Cortex, articulated without being excessive, fresh and original in the choice of ingredients with a result always well-centered, you can find delicacy where perhaps you would expect intensity, or the exact opposite. I put “𝑝𝑒𝑝𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑜, 𝑎𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑖, 𝑐𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑎, 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑢𝑔𝑎” in first place along with “𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑡𝑒́, 𝑣𝑖𝑛 Hello, dear friend, extraordinary starter the “𝑧𝑢𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑, “𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑛, 𝑏𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑎”. Since I lacked the courage, I chose “𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜, 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑖, 𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖, 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑦” instead of “𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑎, 𝑠𝑒𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑎, 𝑓𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑙𝑖 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑙’𝑜𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑜”, but who wouldn't? he had my paranoias he then called it spectacular. The wine list was a real playground, to satisfy every possible desire without breaking the bank. As a company alcoholic, colleagues, on average 20 years younger, gave me carte blanche and I, as an elderly person, took advantage of it. 17/08/2025: The place is truly immersed in nature. The road leading to the osteria ends there! The panoramic view during lunch is beautiful. Delicious dishes. Everything is homemade, and you can taste it! Even the homemade desserts! I will definitely be back, and I'm happy to!

23/07/2025: We stumbled upon RetroGusto in Salita during our road trip to Tuscany, and it turned out to be one of our most delicious detours. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food? Unforgettable. Our kids loved the Margherita pizza—simple, authentic, and just right. The tuna steak was a hit with our son and his friend, cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We opted for the Pasta Cacio e Pepe, and it exceeded every expectation—classic Italian comfort with a touch of finesse. If you’re traveling through and craving a genuine taste of Italy, RetroGusto is worth planning around. Highly recommended for families and foodies alike! 🍷🍽️

30/07/2025: Very interesting restaurant. The location is very welcoming, you feel at home, the service is noteworthy, very attentive, kind, and welcoming, a solid 10... As for the menu, I expected a little more, 8.5... but anyway, we ate well and of good quality, and for everything we ordered, the quality/price ratio was very good. We'll be back.

31/07/2025: On July 29th, I had lunch at the refuge. The service was friendly and quick, but the portion of the leek tortelli (two of them, like small, thin focaccias for ten euros) was too small, even though they were excellent. The place is beautiful, especially the surroundings, and has long been a household name. You can pack a picnic lunch, surrounded by greenery, and leave the place clean.
