23/07/2025: An Enchanting Lunch at Panigaccio in Compiano: Views, Flavors, and Value! We had the pleasure of lunch at the Panigaccio restaurant, located in the historic castle of the ancient village of Compiano, and the experience was simply memorable. The location is breathtaking: sitting on a terrace on the castle walls, we enjoyed a wonderful view of the Taro Valley, refreshed by a delightful breeze that created the perfect atmosphere, unlike the heat of the villages below. The menu delighted us with local specialties and authentic flavors. We started with the Ligurian chiodini (a kind of pork shoulder), followed by fragrant fried polenta accompanied by delicious cured meats and the ever-present panigacci (a kind of bread). We also enjoyed classic French fries and an exceptional first course: trofie with pesto, croissants, and potatoes, a true triumph of flavors. To finish on a sweet note, a refreshing and delicious gelato affogato al caffè (a coffee-filled ice cream), all washed down with an excellent wine. Each dish was beautifully cooked, a sign of great attention to detail and craftsmanship. The service was impeccable and prompt, helping make our meal even more enjoyable. We felt pampered, and the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere made our stay truly comfortable. Another strong point was the value for money: despite the excellent quality of the food, the service, and the exclusive location, we paid relatively little. It was an experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. In short, Panigaccio al Castello di Compiano is a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic culinary experience, a spectacular view, and impeccable service, all at a truly fair price. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return!

30/06/2025: Pleasant, elegant place, efficient and courteous staff. I imagined the eggplant parmigiana differently: the one served to me was a mush, but with a good flavor. Prices perhaps a little exaggerated.

12/08/2025: Given that I knew it by reputation and therefore had high expectations, I ordered a classic first course, tortelli d'erbetta. They were beautifully presented but unfortunately very heavy, almost indigestible, and despite being one of my favorite dishes, I couldn't finish them. The quality/price ratio was too high in my opinion. Otherwise, the location was excellent, and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. It's a shame.

11/08/2025: As always, excellent meat, and the tortelli are, in my opinion, the best in Parma. Superb wine cellar, you'll be spoiled for choice.

13/07/2025: Good morning, I was there last night with my partner. We had a starter of cured meat with fried polenta. Then a first course of potato tortelli with mushrooms and a first course of pumpkin tortelli. Then a second course of roast rabbit stuffed with a side of mixed salad and an ossobuco with beans. All accompanied by a bottle of Boccanegra Oinoe... a lemon sorbet with grappa and a mixed fruit salad with ice cream and a coffee.... What can I say, everything was excellent but we overdid it and couldn't finish the second course... I recommend everything to anyone who is a good eater, otherwise I recommend not taking either the first or second course... Anyway, everything was excellent, no comments to make.

06/08/2025: We spent two days in Parma and asked a friend for a recommendation for a place to eat, and he recommended this restaurant... simply excellent, we had divine food, and the service was also very good. The staff—family-run, I believe—were very friendly and welcoming. I hope to return soon. Highly recommended.

02/08/2025: A nice and comfortable place in the center of Parma. It's a bit pricey and the quality isn't exceptional, not so much in terms of the ingredients but rather the preparation. The staff is a bit cold: the person who served us didn't crack a smile the entire evening.

08/07/2025: Ci siamo stati ieri sera, questo bellissimo Trattoria, semplice ma corretto. Abbiamo mangiato veramente buona e un posto genuino con una cuoca vera nella cucina e tanto raro di trovare cucina vera così in questi giorni quando tutto è mirato ai turisti meno male esistono ancora ancora.
