13/07/2025: The pizza tour is a great idea! Very few places offer this option, with drinks (water and beer) included in the €20 price tag—a fair price. Light pizza and delicious toppings. The young staff serving are super helpful. It can get a bit crowded on the terrace on weekends; given the space they have, I'd space the tables out a bit if I were them.

28/07/2025: Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. Although our room wasn't ready at check-in, we were kindly compensated with a drink at the bar—a thoughtful gesture we greatly appreciated. We had a great room, spacious and well-maintained, perfect for a comfortable night away. The pool was also a nice addition; great for a quick dip, although the water was a bit chilly. The restaurant was an absolute highlight. The food was delicious: flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. We highly recommend dining there! The breakfast in the morning was also more than adequate! There was a wide selection of bread, yogurt, muesli, fruit, and pastries. All in all, we had a great night at UNA.

Excellent regional dishes, including amazing tortellini and delicious crescentine, as well as grilled meats; but the real specialty is the French fries... worthy of a Champions League winner. The extremely friendly and efficient staff is definitely the added bonus of this lovely Bolognese osteria. In the warmer months, you can dine in the shade under the arcades of the center.

13/07/2025: We went to the grooming salon next door and, since the girls are so good and fast, we took the opportunity to grab a drink. The coffee cream is truly mouth-watering, so if you ever go there, definitely try it. The gazebo is a great place to sit, order, drink, and chat.

31/08/2025: Near the Coop in Vergato, this restaurant is worth a visit. The owner kindly accommodated us even though we hadn't booked and the dining room was almost full. Excellent local dishes prepared with quality ingredients. I was able to try the cotoletta alla Bolognese, which was truly delicious. Recommended

13/09/2025: It was our first night in Bologna, we were tired, and we wanted a quick bite to eat. My husband is Mexican and loves to see what people around the globe do with his cuisine. We saw Sombrero and headed straight there! It was quiet when we arrived, which truly was unfortunate because everything about this place - the people, the atmosphere, and especially the food - was wonderful. We started with the red jalapeños and chili nachos and both were just incredible. And the guacamole, oh my god. It was so fresh but I should definitely expect that in Bologna. My son ordered the grilled chicken burger and fries and it looked wonderful. My son was very happy with it and very full. My husband and I both got variations of a rice dish (I can’t remember the name, sorry) and it was delicious. The owner, who was very welcoming and kind, even made sure I got enough vegetables with my food. We also got tacos which were TO. DIE. FOR. So incredibly delightful. I was so full I could hardly walk when we left. What a lovely meal. I feel like Mexican food has been ruined for me though because now, I know the very best Mexican food is right here at Sombrero in Bologna, Italy! Thank you for the incredible food! We hope to see you next time!

03/07/2025: Beautiful trattoria in a truly suggestive location, with a splendid view that alone is worth the visit! The food is excellent, prepared with care and with quality ingredients. The environment is quiet, peaceful and very easy-going, perfect for those looking for a totally relaxing lunch or dinner. The people who run it are very kind and make you feel at home right away. An authentic and very pleasant experience, definitely worth repeating!

29/06/2025: One of the advantages of traveling by car is being able to get off the highway and take a break for an authentic meal (much more than the rustichelle from the autogrill!). Choosing the hills of Bologna and the trattoria Sant'Antonio we were very lucky. Welcomed with kindness and friendliness we tasted the classic tagliatelle with ragù as well as the crescentine with cured meats and cheeses and the tigelle with pesto (an ancient peasant snack made with sausage, bacon, rosemary and garlic: divine!). All seasoned with a good still wine and a beautiful view of the territories of the provinces of Modena and Bologna. We can't wait to return.

07/09/2025: -2025- From flavors to price. After several years of considering this trattoria a go-to spot during my travels in Emilia-Romagna, and recommending lunch here to everyone, I'm forced to reconsider my opinion. Not so much because of the quality of the products, but because I fear the spirit of the trattoria has been lost. On my last visit, the place was unusually nearly empty and overcrowded with staff. We were charged €25 for an appetizer of mixed cold cuts (TWENTY-FIVE EUROS for: two slices of prosciutto crudo, two of coppa, two of mortadella, four of salami, and some fresh cracklings), a far cry from the €10 listed on the menu and paid on previous occasions (see photo). Furthermore, unlike previous visits, the menu was presented to us, accompanied by a look of both puzzlement and annoyance, only after we specifically asked for it. The most unpleasant thing was that, when I expressed my concerns about the dish costing 150% more than usual, I encountered complete disinterest: the person at the cash register passed the responsibility on to the person serving the dish and presented me with the POS without batting an eyelid or wanting to elaborate. The person serving the dish dismissed me abruptly, unwilling to listen to reason, completely unaware that his action would result in the loss of a loyal customer, just as those who are not at all interested in the customer. Personally, I believe that, for the sake of honesty and transparency, since the prices of the dishes are not clear and defined, when a surcharge is applied (especially if it is more than double the price listed on the menu), it should be communicated to the customer. It's a great shame, but we won't be setting foot in this restaurant again, and rather than recommending it as we have done so far, I'll share this latest experience with you. Below is my previous review, dated 2022. -2022- Browsing through reviews and comments, looking for a "local" place that wasn't overly commercialized, we decided to take a short detour on the way home to have lunch at this trattoria. We definitely hit the mark! The appetizer: crescentine (similar to fried gnocchi) and hand-sliced ​​cured meats from a trolley near the customer's table. You can choose from everything traditional Emilian fare (fresh and frozen pork cracklings, coppa di testa, etc.), varying the quality and quantity of the cured meats on the spot. Personally, I really enjoyed this type of service. Among the first courses, also faithful to tradition, we chose to share a portion of gramigna with sausage, on which—at the customer's request—Parmesan cheese was grated directly from the wheel, at the table. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. For our second course, we chose the mixed boiled meats from the boiled and roast meats trolley: a true masterpiece of flavor, accompanied by excellent presentation by the staff, who carefully described the preparation process. From the dessert trolley, we finally chose a trio of local specialties, such as rice cake and zuppa inglese. The bill was absolutely in line with our expectations. The cover charge, €2.40, may seem a bit expensive at first glance, but I think it makes up for the price of the courses (e.g., the appetizer (€10), which, while requiring dedicated service and staff, is average for a simple plate of pre-prepared cold cuts). The restaurant has ample free parking within a courtyard, and there are outdoor tables. We were completely satisfied with our experience, we definitely recommend it, and we will definitely return at the first opportunity!

02/09/2025: We had one of our best dinners in this restaurant. I was initially sceptical as I am vegan. But the food I ate there was out of the world. The riggatoni was amazing. All the veggies tasye amazing. If you are not vegan, do try Gramigna alla salsiccia. It's out of this world.
