Il Cantuccio in Bologna was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming, with a classic Italian charm that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening.
The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried reflected the quality and tradition you hope for when dining in Bologna. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made great recommendations.
Highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it’s a popular spot and fills up quickly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bologna!

A must-see in Bologna! The restaurant specializes in seafood and offers interesting and creative dishes that are truly explosions of flavor! A chic place with friendly, professional service and superb cuisine. Superb dishes made with quality ingredients, with fine, delicious, and delicate flavors. The place is a bit small but still nice and clean, welcoming, and well-organized. What can I say? If you want to combine high-quality food with dishes that are not only delicious but also aesthetically pleasing, with pleasant, intimate, and quiet company, this is the place to be. Thanks for the service, even though we arrived without a reservation and only had to say hello to our friends for 5 minutes. In the end, we sat down to eat and drink, and everything was perfect: food, service, and atmosphere.

My Italian friend recommended this place, and I managed to snag a last-minute reservation—lucky, because it was packed. Every single dish was outstanding. The octopus, in particular, was perfectly cooked and truly memorable. I meant to take more photos, but after a few shots we were too busy diving straight into the food.❤️ must try!!!!

I highly recommend the tasting menu of 5 seafood dishes plus a fresh lemon sorbet for ending. Out of them, the Crispy Octopus on Green sauce and Tuna Carpaccio with Pomegranate sauce are standing apart. Cozy atmosphere, clean and nice sea inspired decorations. Very friendly staff.

I visited on a weekend evening.
I thought it was a trattoria, but everyone inside was wearing knitwear and jackets, and I felt bad that I was dressed so casually...
However, the waitress was very kind, and treated me like an Italian mother.
I had raw oysters, vongole bianco, and mixed pasta, and although I thought the vongole bianco was a little on the salty side, it was overall very delicious.
The fried white fish that came as an appetizer was also delicious.
The lighting inside the restaurant was made with glasswork, and it seemed like a place where families and lovers would use it to celebrate anniversaries.
I'd love to visit again if I'm in Bologna!
