18/02/2025: Valentine's Day evening completely overpriced compared to what was proposed. €5 cover charge each. they are rarely seen in starred restaurants, let alone normal ones... I specify that an all-inclusive price was mentioned, the cover charge was a surprise at the time of payment. At the entrance you waited almost in the rain, unfortunately you pay immediately at the entrance, so there is a queue also because all the tables arrive at the same time, I have never seen anything like this in the many years I have been visiting restaurants. The jacket/coat is left at the entrance without the delivery of any ticket but only by communicating a number...obviously anyone who forgets the number communicated spends half an hour looking for their item. Service was slow, for the wine was served by the glass every half hour and they struggled to bring the bread... one thing to highlight was that the wine was mentioned on the menu, it was completely incorrect not to leave it available to the table. The menu is more or less saved, raw wild strawberry topped with lemon and ginger, good roasted squid, tagliolini with prawns and red fruit juice with good balance and well balanced, unfortunately dishes not very large, for foodies there is the risk of returning home hungry. Poorly managed evening in terms of services and absolutely unjustified price.

23/01/2025: Quando sono in zona, da anni faccio il possibile per un pranzo qui, senza mai rimanere deluso. Di recente più spesso, in particolare per gli eventi legati al Guercino. Il locale è una trattoria (non ha l'ambizione del ristorante, ma ha più calore), ma elegante (nulla del popolare, del rustico, del campagnolo, niente tovaglie a scacchi), Il servizio cortese senza smancerie, grande competenza nei vini. Si mangia sempre bene, ricette sempre originali senza esibizioni cervellotiche, con qualche vetta. Stavolta mi esalta una tartare (che noia direte voi, e anch'io) ma di cefalo, rape rosse e crema di ostriche. Troppo coraggio per non meritare la mia curiosità, che viene premiata.

18/01/2025: Il ristorante è anche bellino, un po’ vecchio stile ma non troppo; pensavo che il tagliere di salumi fosse più abbondante, per 5 pezzetti di salumi 16 euro non ci siamo (se vado al bar sotto casa mia mi danno anche di più e spendo di meno), le tagliatelle al ragù sono delle comunissime tagliatelle solo che costano un lising per una porzione di 70 gr (14 euro anche NO!). La carne era buona e fatta bene, però scarsa porzione. Ma come cosa che mi ha fatto più rimanere male è che ho preso la zuppa inglese e SEMBRAVA PURÈ! (Io ODIO IL PURÈ CON TUTTO IL CUORE!). Come resoconto le cose costano troppo e non sono neanche un granché, il servizio è veloce Ma una stella Michelin non ci dovrebbe essere.

08/03/2025: I had the pleasure of visiting the Taverna Dei Velai restaurant and I can only say that it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming environment. The tasteful decor creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was simply exceptional. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and gave us great recommendations on the food and wines. It's always nice when the staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes. The food was the highlight! The dishes were fresh and harmoniously balanced. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and first class service you receive here. I can only highly recommend Taverna Dei Velai and am already looking forward to my next visit! Congratulations to the cook who I had the pleasure of meeting.😉👩‍🍳

30/03/2025: Se due anni fa erano stati i fuori menù a fare la differenza, questa volta è il modo in cui i fuori menù sono stati esposti a farla ma in negativo! Se i fuori menù sono elencati a mitraglia, e ti vengono richiesti forse bisognerebbe dare il tempo a chi deve scegliere di...scegliere! Non essendo sul menù, che puoi leggere e rileggere forse ci vuole un attimo di pazienza e di passione nel leggerli e presentarli. Le portate alzerebbero la media, ma ancora una volta è il servizio a farla cadere. Se mangio spaghettoni con gamberi e zafferano e dopo ho il polpo come secondo, non mi spiacerebbe mangiare il polpo con la forchetta pulita, quindi la lascio nel piatto. Se la cameriera mi chiede di toglierla per riusarla, mi spiace ma ha sbagliato mestiere. Piccola nota negativa anche sul vino. Il bianco, se non è tenuto in cantinetta andrebbe portato alla temperatura corretta prima di servirlo, però se si porta in tavola caldo significa che non è conservato al meglio. Mi auguro che questo non succeda anche con vini di alta fascia. Il nostro era un Sorriso di Cielo, direi un buon bianco da pasto...solo se servito fresco. Peccato, ne avremmo bevuto una seconda bottiglia, ma tanto per l'acqua così come per il vino nessuno ci ha chiesto se ne volessimo ancora. Ci riproveremo...ma non presto! Peccato!

05/04/2025: Let's go in order: - Parking: large, free and right in front of the structure. - Welcome: very kind and as soon as we entered, we were offered some options where to sit. (We hadn't booked). - Very nice, welcoming internal location. Veranda 👍👍 - Dishes: I find the different offers extremely worthy of attention! I can suggest tortelli in their different flavors 👍 - Second courses: we chose excellent stuffed brisket and a superb horse meat cut, cooked to perfection 💪😋 - The selection of desserts has changed. - Last but not least, a delicious Gutturnio served in a carafe. TRATTORIA that I recommend without ifs or buts! When we are in the area we will definitely return. Thanks to all the STAFF 👏👍

14/04/2025: Oh, what a story! A so-so place, and yet people speak highly of it. Maybe my cutlet was really bad, but there were six of us, we all had different things and we were all, absolutely all, disappointed without a shadow of a doubt.

13/04/2025: Food was average and overpriced, the workers were very kind and helpful. The restaurant was dark needed a lot better ambiance. The owner was rude, snotty and needs to learn to be kinder like his workers.

30/12/2024: Vegan's paradise. Even though we have to travel 30 km, we were pleased to return; the environment is excellent in terms of helpfulness of the staff and quality of the food. Truly excellent pizzas and desserts that leave their mark. Highly recommended and I suggest calling to book, especially on weekends.

16/03/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant and I must say that it was a very pleasant discovery. As soon as I arrived, they served me a hot and fragrant focaccia with bread, and it was so good that I could have eaten a kilo. Excellent appetizers! Pumpkin flan with special parmesan cream. As first courses I tried the gramigna with sausage, tasty and well creamed, and the truffle ravioli taken by my partner were tasty and with a balanced filling. Finally, the homemade desserts were the icing on the cake: truly special, you can feel the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff and the owner are very kind and very attentive, always with a smile. A place where you eat well and feel at home, definitely worth returning!

30/03/2025: Leave with the desire to return. The cuisine combines tradition and innovation in an impeccable and essential way. Everything was delicious, we took advice on the wine and asked for local products: a winning choice, we drank very good wine, especially an unforgettable passito produced by the sommelier... truly exceptional. We will be back soon, we have to try everything on the menu. The friendly and welcoming staff, all very approachable. The place is nice and very clean, there aren't too many tables in the rooms so it's nice and quiet. Well done everyone

22/03/2025: At the Badessa restaurant I spent a wonderful evening, eating Reggio Emilia cuisine in an elegant environment inspired by tradition in every aspect. I can't say anything else about the food except that it's superlative, it's no coincidence that their refinement of the raw material makes the difference compared to many other restaurants that can offer the same thing, but without this very authentic flavour. The location is extremely well looked after, combining tradition and elegance as regards the furnishings and the table setting, all then completed by the always attentive and courteous staff. To conclude this review, from personal experience on the matter, I would add among the excellent services offered by Badessa also a practical roadside assistance for light repairs on cars: in my case a punctured tire was immediately replaced with timely support from the super courteous and friendly restaurant staff (despite the fact that it was now outside working hours) In summary, hoping that you don't have to end up in front of the restaurant due to various technical problems, I highly recommend going and trying this restaurant to eat very well in a wonderful and classy environment.
