If you want pizza, you have to go to Trovatore! Good pizza and very sophisticated flavors, Trovatore is highly recommended.
The place is well-kept and clean.
The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs.
The Florentine steak is a must-try, as are the desserts.

We ate here 3 times in a week. The food was good, I recomend coming for dinner. David was extra good, fluently speaking english, making jokes, giving good recomendations and most of all was friendly/proffesional. If i ever come back in tuscany i will definetly visit again.
I recommend white giant cow steak.

We found the pizzeria open when most of the places in the town center had already closed. A really nice waiter from Barcelona served us. We ordered two pizzas and white wine from San Gimignano, and everything was delicious.

Very best, most delicious Bistecca Fiorentina steak ever - had a 900g piece on my own - tasted like an awesome rib-eye steak to the power of 2.
Pizzas + beer great as well
Strawberries+lemon+ice cream deserts completed our dream dinner.
Very (kids-)friendly staff
Perfect atmosphere of a true Italian restaurant - the best we visited in entire Tuscany

We loved the restaurant; the whole team treated us wonderfully, especially David. We had two spectacular pizzas, some of the best we've had on our trip so far. Thank you to all the staff.

So I went there one evening out of season and we were like a king and princess: superb pici, good wine, great pizza, and they even gave us a little bag of cantuccini.
The fact that it's just outside the city walls should be considered a plus, not a penalty!
