12/09/2025: Gorgeous place and impeccable food. All accompanied by friendly and prompt service. The meat is the highlight.

26/08/2025: I returned after many years. The place is still charming and offers a beautiful view of the parish church, surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, the years are starting to show, and the weight of bygone glories is palpable. As for the food, the first courses were adequate, but the second courses weren't up to par for a place like this; they didn't even ask me how well the meat was cooked. The service was a bit chaotic, and there was a certain sense of disorganization.

19/08/2025: Very nice place to chill and enjoy the views. Had a nice truffle pasta and a fairly decent vermentino , their house salad was not to our taste.

19/08/2025: Beautiful location, friendly service, and good food. We ordered a Pienza pecorino cheese tartlet as an appetizer, pici all'aglione, tagliatelle with egg cream and truffle, a glass of Vermentino, and water. We spent a total of €75. Each dish was between €20 and €24 (including the appetizer). The prices I saw online weren't up to date. I can say that, after spending almost a week in the Val d'Orcia and trying several restaurants between Pienza and Montepulciano, the prices seemed rather high for what was offered. The food was good, but we've had much better at several other places where the same entrees cost around €12. At this restaurant, the cost is almost entirely due to the location (practically across the street from the wonderful Bagno Vignoni spring) and the table service (absolutely impeccable). The food is rather average; I expected better.

29/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, but were very pleased with their pinsas: all delicious and well-seasoned. The service was very friendly.

29/08/2025: A truly great restaurant! 🍕 The pinsa selection is extensive and incredibly delicious—fresh, crispy, and made with high-quality ingredients. I particularly want to highlight the beer selection: many varieties from a microbrewery that pair perfectly with the pinsa. 🍺 The service was very friendly and quick, which made the visit a truly pleasant one.

13/06/2025: Writing a review of this 3-star "Hotel" is not easy. Yes, because, reading other reviews, apart from one, the others speak of a structure that absolutely did not reflect what we experienced. Arriving late in the evening, we were told that there was no garage, when at the time of booking, on the phone I had been confirmed the possibility of putting the motorcycle in the garage. GOOD, BUT LET'S GO IN ORDER. THE ROOMS: I WOULD FIRST NOTE THAT WE STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS AND THE ROOM WAS NEITHER REDONE NOR CLEANED, AS THE RULES OF A 3-STAR HOTEL REQUIRE! WE TAKE THE ROOM CALLED "SUPERIOR" BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THE MANAGEMENT, IT HAS THE LARGEST BATHROOM. ONCE WE HAVE TAKEN POSSESSION OF THE ROOM, WE REALIZE, WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER, AFTER HOURS AND HOURS OF MOTORCYCLE, THAT THE 3 STAR HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER A SIMPLE HAIR DRYER, WHICH I HAVE TO ASK FOR, THE SAME FATE FOR SHAMPOO OR SHOWER GEL, ONLY TWO, PROVIDED FOR TWO DAYS OF STAY, PRACTICALLY IF THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T ASK FOR IT, THEY SIMPLY DON'T BOTHER TO GIVE IT.. THE "SUPERIOR" ROOM HAS MOSQUITO NETS, BUT THEY OBVIOUSLY CANNOT ELIMINATE THE DANGER OF MOSQUITOES, SINCE I HAVE TO ELIMINATE REAL HELICOPTERS (I TOOK PHOTOS) WHICH FORTUNELY DO NOT STING BUT WHICH TO SEE, AND ABOVE ALL HEARING YOURSELF AT NIGHT IS NOT PLEASANT. THE SHOWER, VERY SMALL, BUT THE UNACCEPTABLE THING IS TO SEE PIGEON DROPPINGS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BATHROOM WINDOW! NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE HAVE KEPT THE BATHROOM WINDOW CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. FORGET ABOUT A MINI FRIDGE, FORGET ABOUT A CLOSET, BUT ONLY A COAT RACK ALONG THE WALL. THE BED: IF YOU LIKE THE 80'S METAL MESH BASE, THEN IT'S PERFECT, INCLUDING METALLIC NOISES AFTERWARDS. THE MATTRESS, INSUFFICIENT. BREAKFAST. IN MANY YEARS OF HONORABLE BIKERS ACTIVITY, I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BARRELLING AND ABOVE ALL UNACCEPTABLE BREAKFAST. SHOULD I DESCRIBE IT? IT IS ENOUGH TO SAY THAT ON THE SECOND MORNING A CUSTOMER WENT TO GET CROISSANTS AT THE BAR DEL BORGO. THE MUCH-VALUED CUISINE? NOT AVAILABLE! ON THE SECOND EVENING, WE TOLD ONE OF THE GIRLS THAT WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DO THE HALF-BOARD MENU, BECAUSE, AS IT WAS A PIZZA ROUND EVENING AT THEIR PLACE AND WE PREFERRED TO EAT TYPICAL CUISINE, WE DID NOT FEEL LIKE EATING PIZZA. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS EASILY POSSIBLE AND THEY OFFERED US SOME TORTELLINI, RABBIT....EHM....YES...TOO BAD THAT WE RETURNED AFTER LESS THAN AN HOUR, AND AFTER ASKING ANOTHER GIRL FROM THE STAFF, WE WERE LITERALLY TOLD THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO EAT, NEITHER TORTELLINI, NOR RABBIT, NOR PIZZA! BECAUSE THE PLACE WAS BY NOW FULL. WHILE THE GIRL WAS EVEN RAISING DOUBT THAT WE HAD MADE PREVIOUS AGREEMENTS ON THE MENU, CLAIMING THAT WE HAD NOT TALKED TO HER AND THAT SHE WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION, IN THE MEANTIME SHE CONTINUED TO NOT CARE ABOUT US WHO WERE WAITING, AND CONTINUED TO PREPARE FOR THE PIZZA ROUND. WE PRACTICALLY WAITED FOR HALF AN HOUR FOR HER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, AS SHE HAD SAID, FORTUNATELY THEY MANAGED TO BOOK AT A RESTAURANT NEARBY AND WE WERE ABLE TO EAT THERE, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE ALSO REMAINED HUNGRY. THE NEXT DAY, WE ONLY DRINK AN ORANGE DRINK, PACKED OUR BAGS AND LEFT AWAY VERY HAPPY, TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A REAL BREAKFAST. THE ONLY THING WE LIKED? THE ATMOSPHERE, OF THE WHOLE VILLAGE. THE 3 STAR HOTEL "LA PIETRA" HAS A LONG WAY TO GO TO DEFINE ITSELF AS A 3 STAR. PS: DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR THE WIFI PASSWORD, OTHERWISE IF YOU HOPE TO FIND THE INFORMATION IN THE ROOM LIKE ANY SELF-RESPECTING HOTEL, THEN YOU WILL HAVE A BAD SURPRISE. THERE IS NO TV, THE ONLY THING THAT IS WRITTEN ON THE SITE. THIS WAS OUR EXPERIENCE. TESTIFIED BY PHOTOS. THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTELY UNJUSTIFIED FOR WHAT THEY OFFER.

05/09/2025: The photos of the menu on Google don't match what you'll find on site. You might expect a budget-friendly establishment, but that's not the case. Perhaps the profile should be updated to be more accurate.

04/08/2025: We spontaneously stopped by for lunch and had the two-course lunch menu. And because everything was so good (freshly cooked!), we treated ourselves to a "Torta della Nonna"! We're already looking forward to next time...😀

05/07/2025: Anno dopo anno sempre una conferma a Bagno Vignoni. Prodotti eccellenti, sapori tradizionali di grandissimo livello e tutto condito da semplicità e un bel giardino. Insomma rapporto qualità prezzo davvero eccezionale. Purtroppo quest'anno non avevano la panzanella, ma non mancherà occasione in futuro per rimangiarla.

28/07/2025: A unique old-fashioned trattoria where you can eat truly excellent typical Tuscan dishes...the handmade pici and the Fiorentina steak are excellent. Cesare is a friendly guy...fair prices.

20/07/2025: Excellent value for money. Delicious pici and roast chicken (they only make them on Sundays). Casual atmosphere but very friendly service.

27/08/2025: Since my last visit, there's been a fee to enter. However, you can now see the splendid floor, which alone is worth the visit: a unique masterpiece. It's a shame that entry is only permitted after 10:00 a.m.: 9:00 a.m. would have been convenient.

17/09/2025: We discovered it by chance, being near the parking lot we used to visit Colle. While everything we ate was okay, the prices are a bit above average. We'll probably return to try the pizza.

29/08/2025: When you're craving something good, something made properly, here in Massetana you're in luck. The stuffed schiacciata, the pizzas, the desserts... wow! You just have to take your hat off to them. At the bakery counter, they're almost always quick and friendly, serving you with a smile and you can tell they care about the substance. The problem, to be honest, comes later. You get to the café or the cash register and it feels like you're in a different place. As soon as there's a bit of a commotion at lunchtime, they go haywire. Sometimes you get that lazy guy who seems to be doing you a favor, and you have to wade through the line to pay. It's a shame, because the place is beautiful and the food is truly worth it. A little more attention and less confusion would be enough to be top-notch without any arguments.

10/09/2025: The atmosphere is modern and welcoming. Unfortunately, we had to eat indoors due to the heavy rain, but we still had a great time. The owners were very kind, and the food (bruschetta with pecorino, honey, and walnuts, saffron and pecorino risotto, Livorno-style cod) and wine were delicious. We found the price more than fair. We were very satisfied.

25/08/2025: It certainly wasn't the best pici all'aglione I've ever eaten, but the atmosphere is nice, and the staff is courteous and friendly. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent.

19/07/2025: We were staying not far from this restaurant and really enjoyed it. Beautiful place, family-run and simple. Varied menu, typically local. Pasta and pizzas (be careful, not every day). Friendly service. Excellent dishes (superb pasta with wild boar ragu). Not bad pastries either. Very affordable prices.

23/07/2025: The place is welcoming and the staff are kind and helpful. I often go there for breakfast and they've always been helpful and courteous. We sometimes exchange a few words, and so far I'm very happy here because you feel right at home, welcomed and appreciated.
