Very welcoming place with fast, attentive service. The menu offers a variety of classic Tuscan platters or various types of tartare, with the option of fish. Since there's no kitchen, all dishes are cold, but well-prepared. The prices are reasonable. The wine cellar offers a wide selection of national wines; I think I would have opted for more Tuscan wines given the ambiance and menu.
Overall, it's good and I'll definitely be back.

We went there for an aperitivo and couldn't have chosen a better place. They went out of their way to accommodate our every request, the staff was very attentive, and the food was delicious. The tartare was next level, personally the best I've tasted at an aperitivo here in Siena. My compliments, truly.

We visited this delightful restaurant in Siena and were truly thrilled! 🥰
We enjoyed a simply exceptional charcuterie board: quality products, authentic flavors, and generous portions. It was all accompanied by an excellent wine, perfectly recommended and truly spot-on.
But what makes this place special is the atmosphere: welcoming, authentic, just like it used to be. The owner and the young man who works there are wonderful people, incredibly kind and always smiling, capable of making you feel at home right away.
An experience that goes beyond simply eating well: here you can feel passion, care, and love for what they do.
If you're passing through Siena, it's a must-see! 🍷✨

I went for dinner with my girlfriend and we'll definitely be back!
It's a restaurant with an intimate atmosphere, perfect for conversation and enjoying a pleasant dinner in Siena. The food is high quality and the service from the waiters is excellent.
We started with Il Tagliere Toscano, made with very high-quality local products, and then we opted for the Valdotaine fondue, which was exquisite.
To drink, we chose the Roeno "Kies" Gewurztraminer DOC, recommended by Emma, which was a great accompaniment to our meal.
Furthermore, the owner, Emma, is present and very attentive to all the customers, always ready for a pleasant conversation. The service was outstanding!

All good things come in threes, and the fourth comes naturally: that's how we left off last night with Emma, the owner of Cantiere del Buon Gusto. This is our second time at her place, and it certainly won't be the last. This place has a homey feel, a place where you can truly enjoy your dinner and the dishes, the latter prepared with high-quality ingredients and with a truly commendable attention to flavor balance. They transport you, there's no other way to put it, if you're naturally inclined to savor them, and not just with a "I'm eating because I'm hungry" mentality. Back to Emma, she plays a huge part in making the experience truly fantastic: her kindness and helpfulness make you feel so pampered that you never want the evening to end. It's rare to find people like her: both kind and professional, with a passion for their work. And this applies to Emma, but also to her staff, whose attentive service, kindness, and smiles further enrich the experience and, here I'm repeating myself, make you feel at home.
Go to Emma, you won't regret it. In almost thirty years, I've been to many places and restaurants, but this is one of the very few I can't wait to return to, and certainly the only one that made me feel special.
What else can I say except thank you, thank you so much. And of course... see you next time!

A wonderful discovery in Siena.
Emma's welcome truly makes the difference: warm, authentic, and sincere, making you feel at home from the first moment.
The platter is full of carefully selected cured meats and cheeses, embellished with simply wonderful decorations.
The Rossano tartare is a small masterpiece: excellent ingredients, the intense flavor of 'nduja harmoniously balanced by the freshness of high-quality mozzarella. Emma explained the origins of the products and the pairing philosophy, blending the flavors of Tuscany with those of various southern regions in an original, distinctive, and perfectly executed balance.
The Aglianico was exceptional, perfectly in tune with our dishes. The entire wine list is refined, thoughtful, and well-balanced to the entire menu.
We were in the mezzanine, an intimate and very refined space, a true gem.
After dinner, we went downstairs for coffee and sampled some bitters from Liquirificio della Val d'Orcia: elegant products made with natural ingredients and spices that are clearly perceptible on the palate, with a pleasant, slightly smoky finish. More than just an after-dinner drink, it was a moment of conviviality that allowed us to connect with Emma and the entire staff: a rare and precious gesture.
At the end of the evening, we felt like we were dining with old friends.
Excellent value for money.
In Siena, it's not easy to find a truly stand-out venue: they're often all similar and expensive. Here, however, you can feel the spirit, passion, and substance.
See you soon!

A truly extraordinary experience in a unique and special setting within ancient medieval walls in Siena's historic center. A variety of quality wines and beers, along with well-stocked platters of artistically decorated cured meats and cheeses.
