In addition to the restaurant, don't forget to visit the museum and visit the shop where you can buy Brunello of all vintages! If you ask, you can also visit the dairy and try the hidden pearl of this incredible place.

30 years - that is how long we have admired the wine dei Barbi produces. We finally were able to make the trip for a wine tasting. In December, they were not crowded and we had a lovely time going through the recent vintages as well as new offerings we are unable to get in the states. As someone that enjoys wine and have visited several wineries, we learned something new here - a high complement. The tasting room was cosy and our host full of details but not overbearing. Make the trip beyond Montalcino - and enjoy the craftsmanship of what a really good Brunello can deliver.

Tasting with lunch Good cold cuts Space cheeses Malfatti with truffle to be revised a little, too much truffle oil and not enough truffle, and in quantity Very very good dry desserts I found Vinsanto to be poorly structured For the rest, really very very good Brunello, welcoming and discreet service

Agriturismo Ristorante La Fonte

08/10/2023: Location bellissima, cena super gustosa con tagliere tipico toscano, dell’ottimo Brunello e secondo con tortino di verdure sublimi. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza ma ancor di più il tutto è stato confermato dall’estrema disponibilità dimostrata durante la serata. Abbiamo una bimba di pochi mesi che ha fatto per tutta la durata della cena capricci, nonostante ciò, tutto il personale ha accolto le nostre richieste con sorrisi ed estrema cortesia. Abbiamo già consigliato l’agriturismo, ci dispiace solo non essere di zona per poter tornare e gustare il tutto in tranquillità!!
15/08/2023: Wir waren an einem lauen Sommerabend im August dort. Die Location ist wunderschön. Man fühlt sich ein bisschen wie auf einer Farm im kalifornischen Sonoma oder Napa Valley - wäre ein wunderbares setting für eine Hochzeit :-) Das Essen war sehr lecker, sowohl Vor- als auch Hauptspeisen haben uns allen geschmeckt. Untypisch für die Weingegend Toskana kann man hier auch ein selbstgebrautes Craft-Bier trinken (3 verschiedene Sorten), wirklich sehr gut !! Service war ausgesprochen freundlich. Klare Empfehlung !
