01/05/2025: I booked and on the phone I was told that there was only room outdoors, that's fine... BUT I WAS NOT TOLD THAT WE WOULD BE UNDER THE BURNING SUN AT 1PM, because, absurdly, none of the 6 umbrellas were working... ABSURD. And once we got there, we didn't leave due to hunger and tiredness... and then the table service staff (one guy in particular) was rude, disrespectful, and arrogant... AND NOT JUST WITH US... NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SERVICE STAFF. BAD

04/04/2025: We were so fortunate to discover Montemorli and meet Vittorio and his family. I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask about a tour and Vittorio offered to give us a personal tour the next day. He walked us around the vineyard and talked about the varietals and their harvesting timeline etc. We then went to the cellars and learned about the aging and wine making processes. It was very interesting to hear the history of the vineyard and the Conforti family. Vittorio was also very patient and answered all of our questions. We then walked over to their outdoor kitchen and had a tasting with snacks and we loved all of the wines but could only buy a few to carry with us on the rest of our trip. We were there for several hours and never felt rushed or like we overstayed our welcome. The best part about all of this is that it was just the two of us and Vittorio, so we felt like we were visiting with a friend. This is a "tour" but it feels more like you are visiting family and it is much different than visiting one of the large, commercial wineries. I'd take this option any day over one of those and can't wait to visit again the next time we are in Italy!

27/03/2025: One of the best wine tasting experiences we have had, Vittorio is a warm and very familiar person, we really liked the coexistence with the group, the explanation and the tour as well as the wines we tasted.

26/04/2025: Very beautiful place but I strongly advise against the visit to the cellar with the tasting which was very summary and hasty. We did the tasting with four glasses which included a flatbread which in the end was not given to us, furthermore I wouldn't call the four "glasses" as such since we barely managed to drink a sip. In addition, I took a fifth glass of which a drop of the bottom of the bottle was poured, and was charged €12 (excluding the fact that it had previously been said that it cost less).

18/05/2025: Wow! ¡Qué hallazgo! Si alguna vez estás en Montalcino, Italia, no te pierdas este restaurante para el almuerzo. Mi esposa y yo vimos este lindo lugar cuando llegamos y decidimos probarlo. Bueno... estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho. En el momento en que entramos en el restaurante, nos recibieron con una sonrisa, un servicio maravilloso, comida fantástica y un vino fantástico. Recibimos una sorpresa después de que pedimos - un fabuloso Amuse - Bouche. Además, el Insalada Caprese fue tops! Tuve ñoquis de espinaca con conejo por primera vez en mi vida y estuvo delicioso. Era ligero, tierno, y diferente a todo lo que he tenido antes. (Pero no se lo digas a Bugs Bunny.) Recomendamos encarecidamente este lugar.

12/05/2025: Pasamos en este lugar encantador para el almuerzo y nos encontramos con un servicio maravilloso, comida fabulosa, y vino estupendo. Después de ordenar, nos sorprendió con un encantador Amuse - Bouche. El Insalada Caprese fue el mejor que tuvimos en todos si Italia. Los ñoquis de espinaca con ragu de conejo estaban bien preparados, ligeros, tiernos, y no se parecían a nada de lo que tenía antes. Sin duda recomiendo este lugar.

27/05/2025: Vi al asesor de viaje firmar en la puerta e hicimos reservas para las 7 : 30 cuando se abrió. Cuando llegamos (5 adultos) a las 7: 30 , ya había 15 personas sentadas y cenando -frustrante como hubiéramos venido antes-. Nos recibieron cálidamente y nos sentamos inmediatamente. El servidor nos trajo menús y nos preguntó si queríamos agua. Decidimos compartir los calamares ligeramente fritos y los camarones servidos con rodajas de limón. El marisco era muy fresco y sabroso, pero un poco salado. tagliatelle con salsa de jabalí era bueno, pero demasiada pasta, y no suficiente salsa. spaghetti con almejas - bastante bueno, pero de nuevo muy salado. 4 raviolis grandes con salsa de queso estaba bien, pero de nuevo, muy salado. La proporción de pasta a calabaza era mala y la calabaza abrumada. Comí 1/2 ravioli y lo devolví y me dieron pizza de burrata que era bastante bueno. La masa estaba mojada en el centro y la salsa bastante ácida - Al menos no salada jajaja. no nos dieron pan. Nadie lo era. El plato de mariscos a la parrilla estaba muy asado y muy seco. No sabroso en absoluto. Sólo podíamos probar el carbón. Tiramisu estaba bien. Nos acusaron por los ravioles. Oh, bueno. NO recomendaría basado en alimentos. El servicio le dio una estrella extra. ¡Muy decepcionado!

03/05/2025: I was on holiday in Montepulciano and I went to eat in the cellar, a beautiful experience, exceptional food and wine from the PULCINO cellar, worthy of note and very good, so I had lunch and dinner there, my favorite place!!!!

09/05/2025: I stayed overnight in this hotel, on the main road between Montepulciano and Chianciano, on the occasion of an educational tour with some students... the service was very courteous, the room was clean with everything you need and the dinner at the restaurant was appreciated... basically, I absolutely recommend it!

04/05/2025: Perfect location, you can visit the entire Val d'Orcia in a comfortable way. Super breakfast, a real plus of the structure, special artisanal cakes. The downside is the acoustics of the rooms, too many noises can be heard both from the corridor and from the adjacent rooms. Point to review.

15/04/2025: This is a worthwhile place. How much is it worth? I evaluate how far I would go to get to eat there. This place is also worth an hour's drive. Just to get there because when you get out you will be satisfied enough to make the length of the return journey negligible. Refined products, cared for and cooked with care. Informal but at the same time elegant and intimate environment, friendly service and a good wine list. Highly recommended. Well done!

04/06/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant, and Barbara served us very well and gave us excellent recommendations. We ordered the 1 kg Florentine steak, served very rare and on a piping hot platform so you could fine-tune it to your liking. We also had tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert. The terrace is pleasant at the entrance to Siena's historic center. A very good place, and a definite must-visit. Best regards.

04/06/2025: This used to be a place for us to stop after a long day in Siena... Was... Has been... Because: the portions have gotten really bad: the pizza was meager or lacking in toppings, and the salad was also poorly prepared, with significantly less than last year. And all this with prices that haven't gone down, of course. Service with little apparent joy in or at work. Well, that's it for us: We'll never go there again. Basta. Finito.
