02/09/2024: Il pensiero piu' bello che si ha dopo aver mangiato (bene) e' per Rubel, ragazzo di 32 anni del bangladesch che gestisce sapientemente il ristorante per conto di un gruppo toscano (con cuoco Alessandro,quindi, italiano...): ragazzo intelligente, attento, cortese e corretto che fa gli interessi di chi lo paga come e' raro trovare : bravo lui e bravo chi si affida a lui.
Si mangia bene e si spende circa 30€ che per essere dietro piazza del campo e' un prezzo da saldo in rapporto alla qualita'.
Ossobuco superstar.
Si tornera',per Rubel e per il cibo.
03/08/2024: Treated terribly!!! Came here and the waiter prepared a seat for us. Suddenly an Italian came and sat in our seat. Probably knew the owner and didn't want to leave. The waiter did nothing and gave the Italian the place. Other people also said we were there earlier, but they still didn't get the spot. Terrible to be treated like this!!

22/02/2024: Non è la prima volta ma anche oggi al top, cinghiale in dolce e forte e crostone di tartufo e gorgonzola veramente sublime, che dire…. Non fa mai fare brutta figura a chi ci porti. Prezzi giusti
06/02/2024: In questo locale si mangia e si beve divinamente, salumi e formaggi ottimi, vino rosso fantastico, pici spettacolari, trippa alla senese molto buona e per finire dei dolci da leccarsi i baffi. Una vera osteria che non avevo il piacere di ritrovare dagli anni ottanta. Abbiamo avuto un'accoglienza fantastica da tutti. Se siete a Siena, vale la pena andarci. Io ci sono stato con la mia dolce metà e sua sorella (mia cognata), prezzi onestissimi per la qualità e per la passione di tutto il personale. Grazie Alessandra, ci rivedremo. L'aretino

20/08/2024: excellent choice of wines, competent and sometimes entertaining service, menu based on typical local products.
Average prices, location that derives from an old farmhouse that was an agricultural after-work place (just before the La Foce area). At the back there is a spectacular garden with an oven for cooking pizzas in sight which can count on many seats... great added value!
18/08/2024: At first glance it seemed very chic, but it satisfies all tastes and wallets, we ate well in a nice environment, I recommend it

07/06/2024: They no longer serve food for 2 years, but it is a good place to make a quick stop, have a drink and find a restaurant where you can eat or just hang out away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. They also serve sandwiches.

03/08/2024: It's a wonderful place. Great location with beautiful views. The purest air. All aspects of the holiday are well thought out and organized. A clean swimming pool. A restaurant with high-quality food. We had a great time. Many thanks to the hosts.
Access from the highway from three sides is more convenient from the Mercatale side.
26/07/2024: The best food! The service is great and staff are so kind. The steak florentina is a defo try here, along with the risotto and tomato carpaccio. 10/10 would reccommend

17/08/2024: We had lunch at this restaurant during a visit to Buonconvento.

11/08/2024: We stopped for lunch on Sunday, the restaurant, which has nice furnishings and is located in the beautiful village of Bounconvento, was empty. We took two appetizers, one of cured meats and one of cheeses, the first was discreet (the coppa was very good), while the second had cheap cheeses, without a soul, they seemed to me to be from the supermarket (the honey served as an accompaniment was saved).
We then had 4 first courses: pappardelle with wild boar, the pappardelle was good, cooked well and pulled just right, but we found the wild boar sauce really bad, slightly sour and dry, the wild boar was not noticeable, the juniper notes were good, but overall not recommended dish; the paccheri with ragù were without art or part; I liked the cherry tomato and rocket ravioli. The lasagna is a real pain point: in addition to the genuinely small portion, it seemed frozen to us. The béchamel was very white and foamy like the ones you find in frozen lasagna, it was presented inside a crock covered with house ragù (clearly different from what was inside the lasagna), in such a way as not to show the product layers. I understand that lasagna is not a typical Tuscan dish and that having entered Italian culture perhaps it is a dish put there for tourists, who perhaps do not understand these nuances well, but as paying customers they deserve at least a dish that is not frozen.
Another strange note: the water (€2 per bottle) is filled in a homemade glass bottle. I think that if I have to pay for the bottle of water, as I should, I should be served a bottle with a brand and not a refill from tap water.
The service was attentive and fast.

18/08/2024: Ho soggiornato presso questo bellissimo agriturismo per una settimana con i miei figli. Esperienza davvero bellissima, innanzi tutto per la posizione MERAVIGLIOSA del casale. Immerso nel verde ( curatissimo ) e nella quiete totale, con una vista credo unica sulla meravigliosa San Gimignano.
La posizione leggermente in collina lo rende perfettaodurante il caldo estivo perchè la sera si gode davvero di una brezza piacevolissima.
La piscina è molto curata e pulita con sdraio a disposizione di tutti i clienti, attorniata da un giardino bellissimo con un profumo inebriante di lavanda.
Anche il ristorante, dove si consuma la colazione , gode di una vista spettacolare con tramonto su San Gimignano.
Ci sono ampi spazi, poltroncine e sedie per poter rilassarsi all'ombra , leggere o anche mangiare le favolose ciaccine toscane...!
Posizione assolutamente strategica, a pochi minuti da San Gimignano e ancora di meno da Colle Val di Elsa, paese meno rinomato ma estrememamente carino, specialmente il borgo medioevale. Non si possono perdere poi i tuffi nelle pozze freschissime del Parco Naturale Valle d'Elsa,con partenza da centro paese.
A poche decine di metri passa poi la Via Francigena, percorribile a piedi o in bici.
La nostra camera era silenziosa, pulita, forse l'unico appunto che farei è l'aggiunta di un cestino più grande ( sempre utile ) e il condizionatore un pò troppo rumoroso.
Un grazie particolare lo farei al Sig. Bruno, persona gradevolissima che si prodiga per mantenere il verde del casale perfetto oltre alla manutenzione della piscina.
Un grazie anche alla Sig.ra dell'accoglienza ( che in realtà sembra una ragazzina ) oltre modo gentile e premurosa.
Che altro aggiungere?
Nulla se non che la Taverna sarà sempre un passaggio obbligato durante i nostri viaggi in Toscana!!
11/08/2024: Un luogo meraviglioso!! Abbiamo pranzato ed abbiamo scelto un tavolo sulla terrazza panoramica anche se faceva un po' caldo ma ne valeva veramente la pena, il panorama era meraviglioso ed unico. All'interno si poteva mangiare nella bella sala con aria condizionata ma sarà per un'altra volta!! Piatti buonissimi e servizio top! Volevamo visitare il loro negozio di prodotti con lavanda, peccato che fosse chiuso.

04/08/2024: What to say! I have no words, for the first time I wouldn't know where to start!!!
We arrived at 8pm, we had booked a table for 8, the waitress arrived to take the order at 9pm. "COMING NOW"... sentence we heard for an hour.
At 8.40pm, we asked to AT LEAST order the drink....
-Ordered 2 bottles of still water and 2 bottles of sparkling water arrived;
- A can of coke arrived with a hole: out of gas. I had to go to the register and they told me to put it on the counter. After 15 minutes I received the new can of coke naturally without a glass which with the usual phrase "COMING NOW"... it arrived after 10 minutes. The waitress' response was: I thought he took it. But where from?????
- Very thin pizza and poor quality products.
- Ruined outdoor tables and chairs.
- Dirty, old bathroom, full of rust and dirty cord to flush the toilet.
- Staff not very attentive, I would say almost absent...
- The icing on the cake is on the bill. Be CAREFUL because if you pay in cash they try to cheat you with change and receipts. They didn't want to give us the receipt, with the excuse that the cash register was broken. When I asked for the written tax receipt, between huffs, it was given to me with the cash register which by MIRACLE started working again.
At a certain point we thought we were victims of some candid camera...
It's really a shame because the place has enormous potential...What can I say! "NOW IT COMES".... my review.

who, like me, really appreciate Japanese cuisine. I don't think it's possible in good faith not to be satisfied. Wide variety of foods as well as desserts, a little less in drinks, even a little expensive in truth like the final cost. I would like to point out an extraordinary fried chicken. flagship dish in management in my opinion. Place to try. Satisfaction.

02/01/2024: It's a nice place, much bigger than it looks. They were kind. We had a quick lunch so not much to add. The food was as I would expect. However the ham and cheese sandwich was ironically outstanding for a ham and cheese. Go and enjoy.
